Via Augusta Hotel - Barcelona

Great room for the money. It is located a bit away from the center but it is literally steps away from a Metro stop, which we used quite heavily during our stay. It was very quiet and clean and there's a free safe in the room. Everyone was very helpful and polite.

The staff is quite professional but a smile to welcome customers would make some difference. I paid upfront for a double room and was given a single instead. I argued with the staff who firmly believed I was wrong. Thankfully I had a copy of my booking confirmation.... still that was not good enough. The manager offered a free breakfast as a compensation as no double room was available. When I checked out, I was charged for the breakfast and was not too happy. The attendant smiled saying another mistake after explaining my case. I am not too impressed by the hotel. I recommend you to call them to check the room they will give you as it seems the customer is wrong.

Good location, just a few minutes walk to two different subway stations (Fontana metro, as well as the suburban lines that serve Barcelona). Easy enough walk to shopping districts and for seeing several of Gaudi's architectural gems. Hotel is not in the "thick of things", so its actually pretty quiet and peaceful - but still easy access to where all the action is. Facilities are relatively new and overall condition is very good. Rooms are, as to be expected, quite small. Staff was friendly and helpful.

For what we paid for the room, this hotel did not come close to what I was expecting. Part of the hotel was during remodeling process and the rest was already remodeled. We got a remodeled room, which was very clean, simple and small. The walls are very thin and because the hallways and rooms have hardwood floors, steps, voices, laughs and even the bathroom noise resonates throughout. This hotel is a little far away from Plaza Cataluna, however the Gracia metro station is just a few steps away.

The front desk staff was very indifferent. Spain can pile on holidays which average North American visitors may find excessive. I visited Barcelona during one of these occasions. Since a great deal of the city and surrounding region would be shuttered, I'd hoped the staff could help me with some alternative pastimes. Forget it. They knew nothing. Or if they did, weren't telling. The breakfast buffet, an extra charge, isn't worth the additional expense. However, the hotel itself is undergoing renovation and has some interesting architectural views,

L' hotel est tout près au métro, lequel met juste quelques minutes pour arriver à Les Ramblas. Le petit dej est assez bien! On peut bien manger. L'habitation est assez confortable, meme si on écoute un peu quelques bruits des autres chambres. Par contre, on n' écoute pas aucun bruit de l'extérieur. Le quartier où se trouve l'hotel est l'une des principales Avenues de Barcelone mais est assez tranquile. Le seul problème c'est qu'il n'y a pas des endroits proches pour manger. Le personel de l'hotel est très sympa et ils sont tout près à vous aider.

Hotellet var bra stand, nye rom,parkett på gulv,men vær obs på enkeltrom som gjerne har vindu inn i bakgård.Jeg klaget og fikk nytt rom med utsikt go frisk luft.Stille område,kun 2 stopp fra Plaza Catalunya med Ferrocarrils (andre metro)

Standarden dras ner av att det var väldigt lyhört från korrridoren. Dörrarna isolerade dåligt mot ljud. Ligger bra till i förhållande till T-bana och pendeltåg (under jord).

Altes Haus, komplett und geschmackvoll renoviert. Die Einzelzimmerimmer klein und funktionell, mit Parkettboden, Flat-TV und Schreibtisch, Badezimmer mit großer Dusche, Klimaanlage sehr leise, sodaß man sie nachts anlassen kann. Das kostenlose WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Einziger Nachteil: das Bett ist nur 90cm breit. Trotz der Lage an der Via Augusta ruhig, 50m von der FGC-Haltestelle "Gracia" und ca. 5 Min von der Metro-Haltestelle "Fontana" gelegen. Fazit: wer sein Geld lieber in Restaurants oder Bars als in geräumigen Hotelzimmern investiert und den Abend lieber draußen als im Hotel verbringt, genau das Richtige.

J'y suis resté avec ma mère pendant une semaine entière. Le personnel du via augusta a été irréprochable, toujours prêt à nous aider et toujours dispo. La chambre était faite tous les jours, super propre et très calme. Par dessus tout l'hotel est à 25 mètres du métro Gracia, une station centrale pour visiter l'ensemble de la ville (si on veut faire que de la plage il y a plus près évidemment).

Hôtel très bien situé : à 100 mètres d'une station de métro qui permet de se rendre en 10 minutes environ Place de Catalogne. Petit-déjeuner en libre service varié et copieux. Ma chambre venait d'être refaite à neuf ; sanitaires impeccables ; mais matelas trop dur à mon goût. Pas de bruit de la rue (chambre donnant à l'arrière) ni des chambres voisines ; mais un espace d'1 cm entre la porte et le seuil permet d'entendre le moindre bruit de pas ou de voix dans le couloir.

Very clean and good location

Netter Empfang an der Rezeption und im hellen /sauberen Frühstücksraum.Reichliches Buffet. Unser Zimmer und Bad im 6.OG. waren neu renoviert und sehr sauber.Täglich neue Hand und Badetücher. Von den zur Zeit andauernden Umbauarbeiten im Bereich des 6.Obergeschosses war nicht viel zu hören. Das Hotel ist mit 2 Buslinien(16,17) und der U-Bahn (Haltestelle Gracia) vom Placa Catalunya gut zu erreichen. Ca. 10 Minuten Busfahrt.

ordentliches Hotel, sauber, guter Service, allerdings sollte man ein Taxi von dort schon 1 Stunde vorher anmelden!

1 Nacht in Via Augusta Hotel verbleven, Prima hotel met een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. het hotel ligt centraal gelegen en met een taxi ben je goedkoop snel overal waar je heen wilt. Via het hotel had je korting voor parkeerplaats.
