This is a great hotel for the low price! The rooms were spotless, the staff friendly and helpful. Great sight seeing with the Gaudi architecture nearby and easy access to the metro. Excellent restaurants nearby as well. Free internet a plus!

Generally speaking we were pleased with this Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great, very close to the subway and close to the Gaudi "Rambla" which leads to the Sagrada Familia (~10 mins walk). Rooms are small but I think that is the norm for the most part. Noise isolation is not the greatest; most of what can be heard is internal noise however (water, things moving in upper rooms, etc). Not a big deal but if you absolutely need a quiet room to sleep you may want to consider a different place. We were so tired every night after touring around that it really didn't matter!! I have no problem staying again in this Hotel.

Very basic hotel. You got a room with a private bath room. 24-hour front desk who speaks very good English. Very close to metro station and bus stops. Quite a few restaurants within walking distance. But if you got there late (9pm), the restaurants would be closed. And there are not much you could expect from the hotel. No microwave, not even hot water.

The Medium hotel is a awesome deal. The location is perfect, a few block away from Sagrada Familia church with lots of coffee shops and restaurants around it for a morning start. The subway is also three blocks away from there taking you to downtown; it's not far at all from downtown. A 5 minute train ride. The area is a quiet area, not the party place of gothic barrio. The staff are very friendly, not rude, just fine. They're very helpful with directions, and they speak english...just in case you don't.

The Hotel Medium Abalon is in a great location. It is within walking distance of the Sagrada Familia with plenty of excellent family style restaurants close by. The hotel was clean, however the room and bathroom was very, very small and you only had the basic accomodations. The was also an old musty smell in the room so be sure to take your own disinfection spray. The breakfast was a very basic continential breakfast so you will definitely want lunch early and really should be included in the cost of the hotel because it was not worth the cost we paid. Overall the hotel was okay based onthe location and the exchange rate for the dollar.

Very small room, compact beds, tiny bathroom, very basic. Not the best value for the price. Somewhat noisy corridors. Excellent location in La Horta neighborhood near the Hospital Sant Pau and Avenida Gaudi, convenient to Metro, local bars/restaurants. Reception desk service somewhat indifferent.

Hotellet ligger centralt i et stille og roligt kvarter med masser af nærbutikker og lokalt natteliv!

Très bon hotel. Excellent accueil.

Hotellet motsvarade våra förväntningar, och var med tanke på det låga priset definitivt prisvärt. Varsin säng, ett litet skrivbord, en garderob och ett badrum. Det var det hela - men vi behövde heller inte mer. Personalen var vänligt och städningen var bra. I vår bokning ingick inte frukost, men det finns en hel massa caféer, barer och affärer i de närmaste kvarteren så det var lätt att få god morgonmat i alla fall. Det allra bästa med hotellet är det fantastiska läget. Det är bara några hundra meter till närmaste Metro-station och därifrån tar man sig snabbt och enkelt vart man vill i centrala Barcelona. Dagtid går tågen ungefär var tredje minut, på kvällen ungefär var tionde. Bara ett kvarter bort ligger Av. Gaudi, en härlig gågata med massor av restauranger och vacker utsikt över La Sagrada Familia.

Litt utenfor alt ståk og bråk, nær det 8. underverk, rent og enkelt hotell. Frokost på hotellet ville vi ikke hatt uansett. Men kjip dusj.

Il personale è molto gentile, conoscono l'italiano. Le camere pulite, c'è la possibilità di connettersi ad internet gratuitamente, nn ci sono limiti di orario per il rientro la sera tardi o la notte, è molto vicino alla fermata metro Hospitale Sant Pau (1 minuto a piedi), se si percorre la Avinguda Gaudì si raggiunge la Sagrada Famiglia in soli 5 minuti sempre a piedi. Se prendete il taxi dal porto vi costa 8-10 euro. L'unico neo è che le stanze sono poco insonorizzate, ma tutto sommato il rapporto qualità prezzo è molto vantaggioso.

Hotel bien situe dans un quartier calme tres proche d'une station de metro à 1000m de la Sagra Familla Ideal pour un week end. Parking facile dans les rues non payant le week end. De preference ne pas prendre une chambre au rez de chaussee bruits de passage

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, nous avons été très bien accueilli. Nous avons pu stationner la voiture dans un parking où ils ont des places réservés à un prix très acceptable (17 euros par jour). La chambre était propre et très agréable. Nous avons pu avoir un petit déjeuné copieux pour 6 euros chacun, très bon... L'hôtel est à coté de toute commodité.

à la recherche d'un hôtel pas cher à Barcelone, j'avais choisi celui ci un peu au hasard. j'ai été agréablement surpris. situé à deux rues du métro, et très proche de la sagrada familia (lieu incontournable pour un touriste qui se respecte!) nous avions réservé pour deux et nous avons trouvé une chambre à trois lit, donc plus spacieuse que prévu. le matin nous avons pris le déjeuner "buffet" pour 6euros (très bon prix pour un gros "déjeuneur"!)

While staying in Barcelona in the Hotel Medium Abalone, me and my family, we were attacked by bad-bugs. When we found this we contacted the hotel administration and the hotel administration reacted promptly, they suggested another room and after investigation suggested also a compensation for the unpleasant experience.

Das Zimmer war ziemlich dunkel, aber es war immer ordentlich und die Betten wurden immer gemacht während unserer Abwesenheit. Das Badezimmer war jeden Tag frisch geputzt und immer sehr hygienisch. Die Servicekräfte waren sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Sie haben sich unserer Wünsche sofort angenommen. Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Stadt, was zum Vorteil hatte, dass man in kurzer Zeit überall hinkonnte. Des Weiteren wurde jeden Morgen aufs neue die Tageszeitung für die Gäste zur Verfügung gestellt und er Zugang zum Internet war auch immer gestattet. Es ist schön ruhig in dem hotel und man kann dort abschalten. Ich würde dort wieder hinfahren!!

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour cet hôtel situé à proximité de la Sagrada Familia. Il y a une station de métro tout près. L'accueil est bon (en espagnol, en angalis et même en français!) et les chambres propres et assez spatieuses. Il y a même un garage (il faut payer en plus) si l'on souhaite y laisser sa voiture.

trés bien placé ( tout prés de la sagrada familia). trés bon accueil. places de parking payantes mais sans exés. rapport qualité/prix parfait, même si on peut regretter les cloisons trop minces qui entrainent un niveau sonore important. Mais quand on va à barcelone, ce n'est pas pour rester dans sa chambre!!!

Das Hotel ist für eine kurze Reise nach Barcelona vollkommen reichlich. Wir waren 3 Mädels und haben ein Zimmer für drei Personen gebucht. Das rate ich nicht tun, weil die Zimmer max. für zwei Personen geeignet. Sonst es war sehr sauber, kleines Badezimmer, aber in gutem hygienischen Zustand. In der Nähe gute Möglichkeit zu essen, viele kleine Cafes. Sagrada Familie und Metro Station 500m entfernt. Personal ist sehr freundlich und spricht englisch. Empfehlbar.

Pour une nuit c'est un hotel satisfaisant, l'isolation sonore n'est pas excelente et la rue est proche mais les chambres sont propres et spacieuses. un PC avec acces internet est en libre service. Pour retrouver les Ramblas le metro est obligatoire mais la sagrada familia est a quelques pas (ca vaut le cout de la voir de nuit) et on trouve sans problème un endroit pour diner.

Wij waren zeer tevreden over het hotel en over de service die gegeven werd. Ze hebben ons goed geholpen daar. Zeer gastvrij....

Ein tolles Hotel für junge Gäste, die ein kleineres Budget haben und weniger Geld für die Unterkunft ausgeben möchten. Zum Sangrada de Familia kein Problem zu Fuss, zu den Ramblas muss die U-Bahn benutzt werden. In Barcelona hat es ein WAHNSINNS Angebot für Partyfreunde, die U-Bahn fährt jedoch nur bis 12:00 unter der Woche und bis 02:00 am Wochenende, das heisst: Taxi nehmen :-( Zimmer sind sauber, kein grosser Komfort, deshalb eher was für Junge ohne grosse Ansprüche. Personal spricht einigermassen englisch, ist freundlich. Frühstück im Hotel lohnt sich nicht, kostet 7.50euro und hat kaum angebot, besser was in den vielen läden und bäckereien holen ;-)
