Great place to stay if you want to stay away from Paris noisiness. Overall the staff was great and spoke English.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. We had the family suite which has an upstairs so we were able to sleep away from our two boys. Other hotels we stayed in just had pull out beds in the same room. The metro is about 5-10 mins walk away and easy to find, just turn left out of the hotel and keep walking in a straight line until you see it. There are a few shops and restaurants near by too. There were just two downsides to this hotel, 1st the underground parking is very tight, we have an Xtrail and we had to fold our wing mirrors in to get in, 2nd the breakfast is expensive, 11€, so we didn't have it. Having said that we would stay here again.

The hotel was nice, but many people seemed not to be familiar with the area. We asked several people once we arrived to Paris in order to take the appropriate train or bus, but no one could give us directions including the personnel employed by the train system.

The staff was very helpful and arranged a taxi to the airport for us. We LOVED the staff. This hotel is outside the city, but very accessible to the Metro (Metro stop Chareton-Ecoles). It is difficult to find. Here are some tips on finding it: Once you get off of the Metro at Chareton-Ecoles, you need to stay on Rue de Paris toward the Hotel Deville. When you come to Hotel de Ville, you will see a cobblestone street that goes down a hill that is sometimes blocked off (usually in the afternoon and evening). At the top of that hill is a flower shop, you need to go straight down that hill (it is lined by restaurants and little shops), and that will lead you to an intersection. Go thru the intersection and you should be on the right street Rue Du Marechal Leclerc. Beware when going here that not many of the store owners and surrounding people speak English. But the hotel was very nice, spacious room (for Europe), clean and a nice bathroom. I would stay here again.

We went for the free parking. I was laughed at when i said free, then told that free in France meant available. The bed felt like i was sleeping on the floor. Room was TINY!

Takes about 30 minutes to get into the center of Paris via metro, but definitely worth it if you're trying to save some money on hotel expenses. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Not overly roomy but functional and clean. The metro was about a 5 - 10 minute walk. Definitely not extravagant, but functional and clean. We did have some problems finding it (seems to be a common question)...google map it and zoom to the street or you may get lost (we had some nice locals help us find it).

The town this hotel is located in is worth the stay.

This hotel is very comfortable- good size rooms, and mine had a great big bathtub which was awesome after a long day sightseeing. the rooms all have free wifi, and there is a restaurant downstairs. also, on the road to the metro stop (a 10 minute walk) there are TONS of booths set up with people selling breads, cheese, wine, baked goods, dried fruits, everything. i loved this, and frequented these booths every day. there is also a grocery store right next to the metro stop. the train into the city center takes about 20-25 minutes, but if you dont mind that, this is a great hotel.

Good hotel for the money. The room is always clean and have a bigger bathroom compare to other hotel in europe. The hotel staffs are great and very helpful. The bed is a little firm but have enough space for two adults. The metro is just 5 minuts walk. You have to cross the bridge to find the ecole venitiare metro station.

It was close to Paris and easy to get into the central area of Paris. Very helpful front desk. Great Kabab and pastry shops just up the road. Watch out if eating late the resturant will close early if quiet. The food at the resturant was good though the night we ate. The only negative was with the apartment I could hear the elevator start up early morning.

After reading the other reviews, I was thinking that our stay here would be made because of the cheap price. However, the hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was much bigger than a typical European room, and the hotel did add a restaurant (which we had breakfast in every morning). In thinking that there wasn't too many food options, we came prepared. But for those that don't mind walking a block or two, food wise there was sushi, turkish doner-kabs, and even a McDonalds near the train station. Overall, this hotel was perfect for what my family needed. The only caution I have is beware of the exchange rate and trading in your money at the hotel (the exchange rate they were offering for the USD was .5). Great stay and would recommend for other travelers. And moderately close to the train station which made for easy travel.

The staff at Best Western le Saint Maurice was the most stuck up and the laziest staff I have ever dealt with. Restaurant staff would seat you and not return “25 minutes”. The bar staff would claim not to be open. After checking with the front desk we wore informed the bar/lounge was open. Upon returning a lady took our order and never returned “after waiting 20 minutes for hot coco we left”. The room looked like a World War II French bunker with round 18 inch round tunnel lights mounted on them. The bathroom toilet was mounted in the corner with 10 inches of leg room between the knee and the wall. Watch out for the hook in the wall as you sit down “don’t want to lose and eye”. The room windows wore sealed with thick plastic so they could not be opened for fresh air. In my own words this hotel owes its costumers a Star from its most current rating and Best Western would benefit if they did not have them listed.

I would first like to say that the clerks at the front desk where very courteous. They help with directions for the metro/subway and spoke english. The subway was a ten minute walk from the hotel. did not have breakfast but the dinnig area looked nice. My standard room was small compared to american hotels, book for a double instead. Parking area was redicals, very very small area below the hotel. Better have a 4X4 or else the bottom of your car will get scrached at the entrance of the garage. The price is 6.00 euro per day to park at the hotel. The room was quite. The elavator was very small. The hotel at one time did not have enough clean towels for everbody. They said there laundry service screwed up. At one time the hotel closed there front doors at the middle of the night because I guess the clerk had to do something. Any how, I stayed outside in the cold for about ten min. till he got back to open the doors. They should have some more help at the front desk. There was no fridge our microwave in the room. I wont stay there again but it was OKay.

The staff and the food in the restaurant, Le Patio, were excellent. The hotel is a 3 block walk from the nearest Metro. Wheelchairs/scooters could do it. The Metro is very convenient. The room was small but for the price and for being in Europe, it was what we expected. The room was clean, the water hot, extra blankets and pillows available, and the heater and tv worked. We didn't get a room with a view, but that was okay. I would stay here again.

Nice neighborhood; walking distance to metro station to get into downtown Paris. Parking available but $6/ night charge. Bed was small and mattress old but room was clean and what I expected for the price.

This hotel is a little out of the way but worth it for the money. Close to the Paris transit system and very easy to get to the city. The food in this hotel is fabulous. The best we had in the country. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Nice place to stay. The hotel is close to alot of restaurants. The metro stop isn't too far and the bus stop isn't either. Room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotels.com doesn't give you alot of information other than an address. The hotel is off the the Clarenton-Ecole stop on Line 8, if you looking to use the metro. It is clean and the staff is friendly. It is located in a neighborhood so there are restaurants and shops nearby. It is kind of far but it makes up in "local charm."

If you are looking for a cheap but respectable stay in Paris, this hotel is a good bet. The hotel is far from central Paris, but it's close to a Metro stop which is convienent.

The only knock that I have is that our non smoking room smelled from cigarette smoke that came in from the ventilation system. Also be aware that there are many shops and restaurants that are closed on Sunday.

The positives outweighed the quaint but sometimes annoying negative aspects of this hotel. The charm of Saint Maurice made the stay very enjoyable and with the many stores and fresh fruit stands we passed on our daily trek to the Metro, the mini-fridge in the room helped us to keep our meal costs down. The hotel is positioned right between two Metro stops and both were short distances to walk. Our ride into downtown Paris was about 30 minutes from the hotel. The busy M4 was right outside the room's window with the river on the other side of the road. We did not notice the traffic too much because the windows were sealed shut which made the room very warm, even with the cool spring weather. The air conditioner did not keep the room cool and we ended up opening the hallway door to regulate the temperature. The desk receptionist tried to warn us about the air flow problem but we decided to stay with the view of the Sienne. The hotel itself seemed to be quite old and the room we were in would be unbearably hot in the summer. The elevator broke down almost daily but there were two so we weren't too inconvenienced. The staff at the hotel was very good except when we asked to have a taxi appear at 5:00am for our flight home but when called, the taxi showed up in five minutes. Overall we had a blast in Paris and St. Maurice and the hotel was comfortable and accommodating. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted to avoid the expensive Euro/Dollar rates. You can sightsee in Paris "on the cheap" and can still expect to be satisfied with a most pleasant "home base" with the bonus of getting a feel for the French way of life without the Parisian "tourist" façade.

The front desk staff is friendly. Internet fee at the business center is expensive--8 Euros per hour, compared to Germany and Austria, but it is cheaper than some other Paris hotels. There is an internet cafe four munites down the road, which I found out the last day there because it often was not open when we passed there. Breakfast costs 10 Euros per person, but it is worth it, considering it is Paris. There is also a decent bakery five minutes on the way to Metro from the hotel. The Metro is about 7 to 10 minutes walking distance. An Italian restaurant close to the hotel we dined at called Lacrima Christi is supposed to accept credit cards, but it "claimed" my credit card (worked fine in other European countries and other Paris restaurants/stores) was invalid, so I had to pay cash.

The staff at this hotel are absolutely wonderful, friendly, courteous, helpful and funny. In the two weeks we stated here, we made some great friends and will miss their kindness. The neighborhood is quaint, little stores, restaraunts, etc. The hike to the subway is about 3/8 mile, but along the way are terrific little stores and great people. Loved the hotel, food is excellent, no more pricey than anywhere else and well prepared. Rooms are not huge, but comfortable and clean, closet and bath decent size. Some street noise, but hey, it's Paris, not Des Moines.

Was there for 12 days along with 4 friends, The hotel staff are all GREAT !!! The Dining good but rather pricey................3 Euros for a cup of coffee and no refills.ect..This was my first time in europe and Paris and found it very exciting......Hotel is ablout a 10 minute walk from the Metro station .. Only problem encountered was sound of construction next to Hotel and the failure of the main elevator the last 3 days of our stay............

This isnt a fancy hotel by any means but its clean, friendly service, safe area, right next to the metro. I have stayed here on two different occasions. For the price it cant be beat.

Great location, easy to access Downtown Paris within 25mns and every staff member have the right attitude towards the customer. A definite + in Paris and all over the world.

There are some aspects which do not go in the favour of Le Saint Maurice. One is that it is a 20 stop underground journey to the centre of Paris. The next is that the hotel itself is rather basic and a third would be that the area itself wasn't great. However, it does have many plusses - one is that the staff are very helpful and also very friendly. Secondly the hotel is very clean and thirdly it is only a two to three minute walk from the underground station which will take you into the centre of Paris without any changes. Also, there is a restaurant in the hotel which serves beautifully presented food, and there's a bar bpoth of which serve cheaper than in the centre of Paris. Generally, I was satisfied with the hotel, and would return there if only for the service!

The room was clean but the mattresses on the beds were not in good shape. The hotel was pretty close to the metro so getting into Paris was relatively easy.

The hotel was good, but too far from the main attractions. Took 40 mins by metro.

Great place if you want to be out of downtown paris. it was about a 10 min walk to the metro and alot of the restaurants were only open from 11am to 3pm and 7pm to 12am

After a 10 hour flight to Paris. I was very dissappointed when I arrived at the Best Western Hotel and they told us that they had no room for us and had no phone number to reach us with. I'm certain that I supplied one to Hotels.com. They did put us up in another hotel, but we lost the option for the Continental breakfast and we were forced to drag our own bags to the replacement hotel. I think I'll return to Travelocity.com

It was just a short walk to take the Metro and visit all of the attractions Paris has to offer. If you want a place that is out of the way of all the hustle and bustle, this is the hotel for you.

I thought this hotel was very economical and met my expectations. It was very easily accessible to the metro into Paris and their were plenty of local shops if you needed anything. The area seemed clean and safe. If I were to do it again, I would have stayed closer to Paris Center. The reason being, it would have been nice to be able to go back and forth to the hotel throughout the day. This location was a bit far for that. Otherwise, it was great.

Net hotel. Niet super de luxe maar wat wil je voor die prijs. Nette ruime kamers. Flat screen tv met 1 NL zender. Ontbijt was zeer goed. Scrambled eggs, crossaints, melk, jus, eitje. Waren tas vergeten bij het uitchecken, deze werd netjes opgestuurd naar NL. In het hotel zelf is niets te beleven maar daarvoor moet je de stad in. Werd door personeel netjes uitgelegd hoe waar en welke metro te nemen. Eigen parkeergarage onder hotel. Toegang daarvan erg smal. Maar ja... Parijs. Al met al zeer tevreden.

Hôtel bien, service bien, chambre propre. La TV ne fonctionnait pas vers 2h du matin. Un peu trop éloigné du métro.

For en familie på fire med bil i Paris, var dette hotellet midt i blinken. Parkering under hotellet til en rimelig penge. 4 manns rom ble oppgradert til to rom med dør i mellom. Hyggelig betjening, gode senger.

Vi reiser med tre barn i alderen 10, 12 og 16 år, og booket et dobbelt og et trippelrom. Trippelrommet var overraskende romslig. Hotellet ligger i nærheten av A2, dette var allikevel ikke generende pga tykke vinduer og aircondition på rommene. Hotellpersonalet var hyggelig og imøtekommende og frokostsalen var rikholdig. Et overraskende godt hotell til en rimlig pris. Et godt alternativ til frokostsalen, er å kjøpe delikatesser i supermarkedet ved Metroen og å nyte frokosten i parken like ved.

Hotel is goed bereikbaar vanaf de snelweg, het personeel is vriendelijk, de kamers netjes voor een kort verblijf van twee dagen, alles aanwezig wat je nodig heb.

Fint hotel, dog meget støj fra ukendt kilde på værelset ved sengetid.

The AC broke down during the first night which was a disaster since the the family room did not have any window to open. Beds were crammed in. Quite a long walking distance from the nearest Metro stop at Charenton-Ecole though.

Immerhin relativ ruhig, wenn nicht gerade umgebaut wird. Die Klimaanlage ist viel zu schwach und schafft noch nicht einmal den kleinen Raum zu kühlen (bei 33 grad Außentemperatur). Es gibt einen kleinen Wasserkocher und etwas Kaffe und Tee für den Morgen auf dem Zimmer (prima). Zimmer und Bad sind sauber! Mehr als Übernachten lohnt sich nicht. Die Verbindung zur Stadtmitte geht reibungslos, auch wenn es etwas weit ist (30 Min.). Die Metro ist gut 1000m weit weg, nicht 300 m.
