Best Western Premier Hotel Sant'Elena - Venecia

The hotel is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood. The staff were very friendly. It's a lovely 10 minute walk from centre of Venice along the water front or 5 mins by water bus. The room could have been a little cleaner, there were stains on seats in room.

15 to 20 minute walk to St. Marks. One vaporetto stop to Lido. Short walk to the Bienale. Great breakfast. Not in teh thick of things so that can be its lus or minus. For us it was a plus because we were these in late July, with throngs of people near St. Marks. THis was a quiet retreat from the madness. THe AC was very strong.

Great location in a non-touristy area of Venice close to a nice park and the Sant Elena boat stop.

Tucked away just 3 minutes walk from the Vaoretto stop, the hotel is clean and modern. Just one stop from the Lido and 2-3 from St mark's Square, we found the hotel in an excellent location, although the S'ant Elena area is very quiet. Rooms are not huge, but are very comfortable and well equipped. The buffet breakfast is excellent and serves until 11am so perfect if you donlt want to be up early!

Overall, the room; service and staff were fine. I would recommend it for a short stay.

This is a very well run, clean and efficiently run hotel. The location is perfect - a lovely quiet residential area with parks to relax in set away from the hustle and bustle of St. Marks - just a twenty minute stroll away. The hotel is also very close (few hundred metres) to a vaporetto stop which is very handy when arriving laden down with luggage. The staff were also very pleasant and friendly.

The hotel is a little off the beaten track but this adds to it's appeal. A very short walk from the Sant' Elena vaparetto stop means that you can be at the heart of the main attractions very easily and very quickly. However, because it is a little way out it is both relaxing and excellent value for money.

Outstanding Hotel, Great room for the money-Best value for 4-star Hotel

very historical city but lots of tourists, expensive for restaurants, food not impressed at all and service on restaurants is bas as well most of the time

The hotel itself met our expectations. The surprises were three things. 1. The staff was fantastic. They helped us in every way in our English language to get where we wanted to go and recommending very special restaurants. 2. The staff assisted in getting my computer to work on the wifi. It was me and my computer that was a problem and not their terrific WIFI system.\ 3. The location was not in the center of Venice near San Marcos square, but the surrounding neighborhood, mostly residential, was unbelievable. A huge Park overlooking the water, local people conducting their day to day routine and restaurants run by locals with authentic food. The very best.

Very comfortable hotel, not too far from S. Marks? 3-4 vaporatti stops. Quiet location, but convenient for a break. Would stay again!!!!!

We were in Venice with our two teenaged daughters and were delighted to be housed in modern comfort in an historical building. The service was first-rate: the staff were full of information such as at what times the boats leave for the airport, where the ATMs were that were on our planned itinerary for the day, etc. They also spoke several languages well, so everyone we saw was addressed in their own language and could get the information they needed. There is a full buffet breakfast, including fresh fruit, cereals, eggs, cold meats, breads, pastries and even gluten free products served in a lovely garden front room: a very suitable way to start one's days. The 2 minute walk through the neighbourhood and the park to the vaporetto was great and gave us easy access to everything in central Venice in very short order. For people wishing to be outside the hustle and bustle of central Venice for peace and quiet yet only 10 minutes by varporetto from everything, this hotel is ideal.

The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable except for the heat. The night I was in Venice was unusually warm, and the air conditioning had already been shut down, which left the hotel rooms extremely warm.

While a little off the beaten path, this is a charming hotel with very professional, knowledgeable staff in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood. But, don't let the location put you off, it is right on the main water bus line, so not inconvenient. The beds could be more comfortable and the rooms are a little small, but not atypical for a European hotel. The garden courtyard is a lovely oasis after a day in the more crowded parts of Venice and a great place to enjoy breakfast.

This is a lovely hotel a nice 20 minute walk or if you prefer a short water bus ride and two minute walk from the main district. The location is fantastic and quiet in a residential area out of the city centre. There is a small local bar you have to walk past from the water bus stop which serves a great gin & Tonic at reasonable cost. We were there at the end of JJune so the weather was hot and we sat outside wioth other locals enjoying their early evening cheeky ones. We didn't eat in the hotel other than the continental type buffet breakfast that was plentiful but the menu did look nice.

Great location away from the crowds and noise. Clean, nice, and friendly staff. Very nice breakfast provided each day. Definitely would stay here again.

The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area where the prices in nearby restuarents and bars are lower than in the city centre. It is still close enough to walk into the centre and is on the canal boat route.

Hotel was clean, rooms were spacious, staff was very helpful. Location was still within walking distance to major tourist areas and it was easy to find.

My wife and I stayed at the Sant' Elena for 4 nights during a break in Venice. The standards in the hotel were of a good quality, we were upgraded to a Junior Suite for free after I had booked a standard double room. This was a nice surprise for us and the junior suite was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel location was a little out of the centre of Venice and it takes around a 20 minutes walk to get to St Mark's Square. A better option it to take the Vaporetto from the Sant' Elena stop which is only 100 meters from the hotel, this takes 5 minutes to get to St Marks and the Vaporetto run very frequently and late into the night. The breakfast was of continental style and this may not be to everyone's taste, but the coffee and pasteries were of a good quality and we certainly felt that the breakfast met our needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in a Venice hotel where they want good value for money and do not mind being a little out of the busy centre of the city. If you want to be very close to St Mark's Square, then this isn't the hotel for you. I would return to the Sant' Elena if I decide to take another trip to Venice.

Great hotel far enough from the crowds to be peaceful but only 15 minutes walk to St Mark's and a stones throw from the waterbus stop. Modern spacious room, friendly helpful staff.

Hotel is off the beaten path in Venice - which can be a good thing since it's quiet and located in a safe residential area. Only a couple blocks from the S. Elena vaporetto line and staff is very helpful and fluent in many languages. Free breakfast was good and the only thing we got for free during 2 weeks in Italy!

Great for the money. a little out of the way but in a good way. You do not stay in the tourist trap area. That's a good thing. Take to water bus at night it is easier.

Very accomodating staff, clean and quite large room. Hotel is located on the far east end of Venice in a residential neigborhood which allowed us to interact with the locals and avoid the noisy evenings in central Venice.

Super hôtel, très bien placé, joli, mais problème de bruits (sortes de sifflements dans les canalisations) la nuit. Dommage ! Les petits déj sont fameux et le personnel très sympa.

Hotel gut gelegen, ca. hundertfünfzig m von der Anlegestelle St. Elena entfernt, mit Vaporetto Linie eins vom Bahnhof in ca. vierzig min. erreichbar. In kurzen Abständen Vaporettos nach Murano vierzig min, Lido fünf min und Innenstadt St. Marco ca. zehn Minuten, Verbindung zur Innenstadt bis etwa halb eins nachts, sonst kann man auch laufen, ca. dreissig min. ab St. Marco. Hotel direkt an einem Park gelegen, sehr ruhig und etwas ab von dem Lärm und der Hektik der Innenstadt. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet, einige Plätze auch in einem Pavillon im Garten, sehr schön. Sehr sauberes Hotel. Junior suite hat auch ausreichend Platz, andere Zimmer nicht gesehen Einziger negativer Punkt Zwei Internetterminals vorhanden, haben aber nicht funktioniert.

La première chambre à côté de l'accueil (bruit), au rez de chaussée avec barreaux aux fenêtres sans point de vue, vraiment dommage dans un si bel hôtel !

Med gångavstånd till Markusplatsen och med gröna parker utanför dörren (ja, i Venedig!) bodde vi på detta kanonhotell. Grymt prisvärt och mycket trevligt och vi skulle definitivt bo här igen nästa gång vi åker till Venedig!

Positiv: ruhige Lage, moderne Zimmer, gute Betten (keine durchgelegten Matratzen), erstklassiges Frühstücksbuffet. Check-out 12:00 Uhr. Das Personal ist freundlich und spricht passables Englisch (kein Deutsch). Negativ: Internetanbindung: 2 allg. zugängliche PC's (30 min kostenlos). Der Erste ohne Acrobat Reader => kein Ausdruck von pdf-Docs möglich; der Zweite mit Acrobat Reader, aber ohne Drucker. Das ist vorsintflutlich. Der Speisesaal hat zu wenig Tische=>lange Wartezeiten beim Frühstück auf freie Plätze. Der Teppich im Zimmer war verschmutzt und hat vermutlich schon länger keinen Staubsauger oder eine richtige Reinigung erfahren. Trotzdem positiver Gesamteindruck!

Très bon hôtel à l'écart de l'agitation de la ville. Un peu loin même mais qui ravira ceux qui cherchent un havre de paix (compter 25 bonnes minutes de la place Saint-Marc jusqu'à l'hôtel). Personnel très accueillant qui parle toutes les langues. Le personnel des petits déjeuners est au petit soin. Clientèle très écclectique. La chambre était très spacieuse avec tout le confort moderne et dans un style très tendance. Très agréable. Pour repartir, le taxi bâteau est venu nous chercher à deux pas de l'hôtel. Nous l'avions commandé par le biais de l'hôtel. Un peu cher mais très pratique pour ceux qui souhaiterons pousser leur voyage jusqu'au bout. A recommander.

En dehors du centre, dans un quartier résidentiel, trés bel hôtel moderne, à 200 mètres du vaporeto pour la Place San Marco. 20 moinutes de marche à pied pour la place San Marco, il faut donc aimer marcher, mais le long de la lagune, c'est superbe !

Un ancien cloitre transformé en hôtel ,un quartier de rêve à la fois proche et lointain du centre trop touristique,à quelques minutes du vaporetto numéro 1, il faut y venir ,y revenir !!!!

Bonne situation par rapport au centre de Venise. Hotel agréable et personnel aimable. Nous étions dans une suite Junior. il faut quand même souligner que cet hotel, bien que très correct, n'a pas la qualité d'un réel 4 étoiles en suite Junior. En réservant sur internet, nous avons bénéficié d'un bon tarif, je me dis qu'en nous présentant directement sur place et en payant le tarif pratiqué par l'hotel, nous aurions certainement été déçu de la qualité de la chambre au prix fort. Cela dit, de manière générale, nous sommes heureux et avons passé un très agréable séjour.

Das Hotel Sant Elena liegt im gleichnamigen Stadtteil von Venedig. Zwar etwas abgelegen aber die nächsten Vaporetten-Station ("Wasserbus") liegt nur ca. 500 mtr. entfernt und fährt tagsüber alle 10 Min. Nach 4 Stationen ist man mitten in der Stadt. Das Hotel ist ordentlich und enspricht der Beschreibung. Frühstück für italienische Verhältnisse gut, mit z.B. Rührei etc.

Für Venedig ziemlich untypisches Hotel. Sehr ruhig, etwas abgelegen, recht geräumig. Guter Rückzugsort. Nachteil: keine Restaurants in der Nähe, man muss also am Abend nochmals in die zentraleren Bereiche Venedigs fahren. Das Restaurant im Hotel ist eher mäßig und zudem überteuert. Das Frühstück ist aber für italienische Verhältnisse hervorragend, relativ große Auswahl am Büffet.
