Malaposta - Oporto

The hotel needs an update. For one night only was OK to stay longer than that would be a problem. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

I was looking for a hotel near the old city tourist district with reasonable prices. The Malaposta met my needs nicely. This hotel is just a 7-10 minute walk to the Sao Bento train station and the Douro riverfront. There is also a Metro train station and a city bus station only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The Malaposta can be a little tricky to find since it is not located on a major through street, but the neighborhood is safe and conveniently close to the shopping and tourist areas. The prices were very competitive, the rooms were clean, and the property was well maintained. The elevator was tiny, with barely enough room for one person with luggage but serviceable. A light breakfast was included in the room price. There was no internet service offered in the individual rooms, although there was service available from a single computer in the lobby area. As a US citizen, I appreciated the fact that staff spoke enough English to answer my basic questions, and they were helpful in giving directions to near by tourist attractions.

I was attracted to this hotel by its location and price - have to say this was proven correct. We booked two rooms for a family trip Positives: - As I say the price - Location, its right in the middle of the city and within easy reach of everything - Good breakfast - Good sized rooms Negatives: There were a number of problems with the rooms including a loose bathroom door hinge, neither of the bathroom doors locked, one of the sinks kept blocking, a toilet had problems with the flush, carpet was dirty, one of the curtains did not close properly.... Some of these problems could have been resolved very quickly and without cost, but the hotel staff seemed to drag their feet once we informed them of the problem. Would recommend hotel overall, in the hope that the niggling problems are resolved

For the price everything was as expected. Upon arrival we couldn´t check into out room until 3pm, though we were told 12pm on the confirmation sheet, and they kept us waiting without any time indication. The location is good in terms of getting into the historical centre, just a short walk. The room was comfortable and very clean. If I visit the city again, on a small budget, I would have no issues going back.

Pour un hotel de cette catégorie, bravo ! Acceuil sympathique, les chambres sont correctes et l'emplacement idéal. Le petit déjeuner mérite ce nom... Un bon ensemble.

Da fuori non si direbbe, ma l'hotel dentro è nuovo e accogliente. Molto gentili, sopratutto la signora addetta alla colazione. La posizione è abbastanza comoda, anche se inizialmene è stato difficile trovare la via dell'hotel. Leggermente in salita e non proprio vicinissimo al centro, ma è ok. anche perchè intorno ci sono cmq dei locali per la sera.

Hotel propre et bien situé près du centre historique, offrant un bon rapport qualité/prix pour un séjour à Porto.

Echt een goed hotel, voor een zeer goede prijs. Midden in het centrum, alles goed te belopen. Alleen het ontbijt is niet alles, maar is ook goed genoeg.

Rigtig god beliggenhed i Porto, overraskende godt til prisen.

L'hotel n'est plus tout neuf, mais parfaitement propre et jouissant d'un positionnement très sympa pour visiter la ville à pieds ou avec les transports en commun. L'accueil est sympa, le seul petit "bémol" est la tranche horaire du petit déjeuner qui ne commence qu'à 8h00, mais qui ne remet pas en cause l'interêt que nous avons porté à cet hotel.

Helt okej budgethotell ca 500 meter från floden och det mer livligare restaurangdistriktet. Frukosten som ingår är dock inte mycket värd.

Malaposta er et billigt hotel i Portos centrum - nær den centrale metrostation Trindade. God service, rimelig morgenmadsbuffet, men meget skrabet værelse med én stol og et lille bord. Det havde regnet ind ad vinduet. Badeværelset ganske udmærket og med kar.
