Bastion Hotel Schiphol/ Hoofddorp - Hoofddorp

My wife and I were pleased not only with the accomodations but the helpfulness of the staff. After calling, they picked us up at the Schiphol Airport with their free shuttle service. The desk clerk provided us with local bus information for a quick excursion to nearby cities. The free Unsecured Wireless Internet access was great. As a USA senior citizen, I would describe the place as quiet and comfortable, especially if you are suffering from jet lag.

Hotel was fine for the money. Hotel room and bathroom were clean. Staff were polite. Restaurant for dinner was great! Restaurant for breakfast I was less impressed with - I prefer the full English type breakfasts and there was just bacon and eggs available which weren't that good, but there was cereal and contininetal type breakfasts available which could have been fine. Free shuttle bus to/from the airport was good, it was running on time when I used it. Free Wifi in the hotel worked fine and was very useful.

A little distance from the airport, but the shuttle service was convenient enough. The hotel staff was as friendly and helpful as any place I have stayed! The room was spacious by European standards and was clean and comfortable. We chose to bring along some breakfast food for "in-room" dining which we enjoyed about as well as we would have the pricey breakfast buffet. All in all, a good value for a convenient airport hotel stay.

Although a bit further from the airport (a 15 to 20 minute ride with a most satisfactory shuttle service), the hotel is clean and comfortable and quiet. I had my 88 year-old mother with me on the last night of a 2 week tour of London, Paris and Amsterdam. We needed a room at the airport the night before an early morning departure. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. After reading some of the other reveiws, I was not expecting the quality of accomodation that I received. The room was roomier than many in London, Paris and Amsterdam. The private bathroom was very spacious by European terms and the beds were comfortable. I really can't think of any adverse qualities about the stay. I will definitely stay here again if I need airlort accomodations in Amsterdam or any surrounding locations.

Overall the hotel was nice. The shuttle service was a great convenience and the driver very accomodating and nice. The bed was clean and the pillows very comfortable. However, there was no airconditioning, but there was a fun which made it bearable. The bathroom was not too good. I hate showers that have just a drain in the floor and nothing to keep the water from flooding the entire bathroom. The rate was a little on the high side taking these two things into consideration.

Simple, well kept and clean room for business or overnight stay. Nice staff.

Net hotel, niet meer en niet minder, beetje verouderd maar daardoor niet slecht. Redelijke bedden, schone badkamer en een heerlijk onbijt buffet. Gewoon netjes!

Locatie uitstekend tov Amsterdam Schiphol Utrecht Den Haag

Een comfortabele kamer, met alle noodzakelijke gemakken voor een prettig verblijf. Dicht bij Schiphol Airport. Uitstekende keuken en een uitermate vriendelijke staff. Een hotel waar ik zeker bij een volgend verblijf in Nederland weer zal boeken.

pas trés loin d'Amsterdam, on y est en 1/4 d'heure, calme, sympa bien pour une ou deux nuits, le hic c'est les lits jumeaux.

Hotel met openbaar vervoer trein/bus goed bereikbaar. Bij aankomst in Engelse taal ontvangen door zeer vlotte, leuke receptionist. Sevice was prima. Kamer eenvoudig, maar schoon. Goede bedden. Ontbijt lekker, genoeg keuze. Ook diner was niet duur, wel lekker. Uitstekend en vriendelijk personeel. Prima start van een "vliegvakantie" vanaf Schiphol. Gratis Shuttleservice!
