Apparently a lot of money was spent on antique clocks and pianos, but not that much on the pool/sauna/fitness areas. With twins (2 1/2 years old) there was LITTLE in the hotel to entertain them. The room was adequate for the price we paid, but the beds were hard and plain. Housekeeping people were nice people, but they took forEVER to get the room clean (not due to children staying there - just due to their own slow pace). We had to ask for extra towels & toilet paper. The phone and TV were difficult to figure out. There were other minor irritations, like the company logos did not necessarily include the hotel phone number, so we had to search for it. In general, "service" in Spain seems to be more of "We can't and won't help you outside the norm." A good example of this was the desk's apparent disinterest in helping us solve a transportation problem we had on the 2nd day. By contrast, on the last day, the desk went the extra mile, and helped us find the right taxi service we needed.

Beautiful hotel, stunning reception area. Rooms are large and the beds bigger than average. Food and drinks are expensive but some of that is due to exchange rates. Staff attentive. Very quiet inside hotel. Busy road outside but no noise inside hotel.

Needs Stainless-steamer. The only restaurant was very very expensive. 34Euro that is 50US for an buffet. Forget about the shuttle service. The shuttle is little mini van and not catching up in the morning. The Taxi cost me 18 Euros about 26 US for 3 miles ride. No thanks, not again.

A huge place - not many food options. The best thing about this hotel is that it is a drop-off for Avis. So, if you have a car to return and a morning flight, this is a great spot, they also offer free airport transfers. The hotel is in an industrial area, so if you want some tapas, you have to take the bus ( bus stop at hotel) into Madrid.

This hotel/museum was refreshing for an airport layover hotel stay. The hotel is huge, has beautiful art pieces on display, good cocktail bars with reasonable prices, an airport shuttle that makes rounds every 30 minutes (thus you don't need to call the hotel & tell them to pick you up as the Diana Trip Hotel in Madrid), the staff was welcoming and very helpful. I would stay here again if I'm under the same situation (layover/connecting flights). Very clean-reminded me of Las Vegas newer hotels.

The hotel was a little too far from airport but it was ok for the price. Shuttle service was never used. Was told not to reserve but in the morning too full and had to go to airport so took a cab. The employee at desk were totally uncaring and were are in need to learn about good customer service.

This was a very nice hotel in most respects, and would highly recommend it for simple overnight stays where being close to airport is important. But getting to anything interesting can be a challenge unless you are willing to pay 30Euro in taxi costs. No metro station is nearby.

Huge hotel full of open spaces with many interesting antiques in the lobby. Lunch was expensive but all of us thought the food was good. Pay for the hotel with the breakfast included option. Very extensive hot and cold buffet which goes from 6:30 - 11:00 A.M. The only down side was hard mattresses but all the mattresses we have slept on in spain seem to be hard.

There is very limited food options other than what is on site at hotel. Nothing in reasonable walking distance. Access to airport and overall quality is good.

A fine, clean (and quite large) hotel very close to the Madrid Barajas Airport. We were initally assigned a smoking room (although we'd requested non-smoking), and the problem was quickly remedied. The airport shuttle was very convenient, if a bit crowded.

This huge convention hotel offers good value for those wanting to catch an early flight from Madrid's Barajas Airport but it is a 20 to 25 Euro cab ride to Terminal 4 (Iberia) and in rush hour can be a thirty minute trip. Plan accordingly. The hotel offers a free shuttle, but it was so crowded even at 6 a.m we opted for a cab. The restaurant is good but can be expensive for Spain.

The hotel is very large, and needs a bit of attention. Chunks of the pool were missing, and falling in to the water. The dinner buffet was over priced. The service especially at the front desk was excellent. Shuttle service to and from airport twice an hour. The room that I was in was good sized and clean. If you want to enjoy any attractions or restuarants, you must use transportation...metro from airport..city bus or taxi..THERE IS NOTHING NEAR THIS HOTEL. I wanted to have easy access to the airport so it was fine for me.

Great facility for being close to the airport. No convention that weekend left the hotel with few guests. Very clean and organized operation. Restaurant a bit pricey but fine. Parking was 21 Euros.

Within 15 minutes of the Barajas Madrid airport with free shuttle, very convenient for early morning flights out. Great price.

The hotel, istelf, was beautiful inside, and I was satisfied with the room. The buffet breakfast was very enjoyable. However, one of the reasons I chose the hotel was for the free airport shuttle service, and it was abysmal. I waited an hour in the sun for the shuttle, which was supposed to come "every 10-15 minutes." All the other hotel shuttles did in fact come frequently, and I was the only one left waiting. I had to call twice to get them to finally pick me up from the airport. The next morning, the shuttle from the hotel to the airport was so late that the parking lot was overflowing with guests waiting with their luggage. Eventually, we gave up and took cabs. The staff did not seem overly concerned with the situation.

A great and impressive hotel at reasonable price ; also a very good restaurant . A good airport shuttle at no charge and frequent times .

I had a layover twice in Madrid and stayed here both times. The shuttle runs from the airport once per hour. The beds aren't the most comfortable, but everything else was perfectly fine and clean.

WE enjoyed our stay, and selected the hotel because it was near the airport and had free shuttle buses. The free buses into Madrid were not well advertised, and we wish we had made use of them rather than eat in the hotel which was delicious but expensiv

We were leaving Europe the next day and wanted to stay near the airport. It was a good hotel with good service.

The hotel offers excellent services..but a little pricey.. We had our 2 year-old son with us and after arrival figured out we had no bottled water for his lunch.. I exited the hotel in hope to find a grocery store nearby, but rapidly realized...we were in the middle of nowhere.. just a crowded m highway and some dusty company offices.. later, we realized that a commuter bus can take you to ne nearest bus hub, Avenida America with plenty of stores..

Hotel staff was rude whhen I tried to get information about shopping in the area. Staff acted as if they didn't want to help me. The bathtub was dirty. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. When we arrived at our room, hotel cleaning staff had cleaning cart and vacuum strewn down hallway. Food was expensive - $17 Euros for breakfast buffet.

Hotel is very close to the airport. Room was clean. Front desk staff poorly trained reception desk clerk keep insisting that I need to present a voucher even after I showed them an email receipt confirmation from Hotels.COM Dinning options limited and the quality was fair at best.

Hotel is located in an industrial area. No facilities close by. Free shuttle bus to the airport.

The food service at the hotel was very expensive compared to other stays in Spain. A lunch for two of omelette, club sandwich, coke and coffee was 39 euros. With the location of the hotel your options for meals are limited. The shuttle service to the airport was a plus and the room rate and quality was a good value.

My wife and I needed a clean, nice, comfortable hotel for an overnight stay near the airport. It was exactly what we needed. No complaints.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel after returning from Sevilla because it was close to the airport (and they provide a free shuttle). However, it's absolutely designed for business travelers. Because it's by the airport it's not really by anything else. So if you don't have a car, and don't want to take a taxi, your stuck eating in the hotel's very expensive restaurant. The restaurant staff was wonderful, the hotel staff (rude receptionist, non-existent bellmen) not so much! It claims to be Europe's largest hotel and it is massive but again, if you're not there for business I'd find someplace else. Also as a final note, maybe it's a European thing because all of our hotels in Spain were like this, but the beds are very hard!

Our stay was for one night only. The room was very comfortable, amble and the beds were too. Checking in was a problem. We wanted 'quiet' and they sent us to the 4th block that had no easy access to an elevator. We had 4 large suitcases and no hotel staff available to help us. My husband is 67 years old, and I just got angry at sending us to a room inaccessable. They moved us to the 2nd block with an elevator.

This grand hotel -- Europe's largest --exudes luxury, from the tastefully appointed guest rooms to the elegant lobby to the clean and well-equipped pool and fitness center. Its proxmity to the Madrid airport and regularly scheduled shuttle buses provided gratis are a much-appreciated service. The only negative was its overpriced, unexceptional food and the lack of less expensive alternatives in largely industrial neighborhood around the hotel.

This hotel is very difficult to drive to and once you get there they charge you 21 Euros to park one nignt. They say they offer a courtesy van to downtown Madrid but they only use a 15-passenger van and there were over 20 people waiting to be picked up. They don't take reservations for the shuttle and they have no system to ensure that it is first come first served. They say they are the largest hotel in Europe, but they refuse to offer a large enough van or bus to transport the number of people wanting to use the courtesy shuttle. The manager was arrogant and rude. The morning I checked out the computer system was not working. I would suggest that they spend a little less money on the antiques in the lobby and a little more on a decent computer system and a larger van or bus.

The free shuttle to downtown is pretty lame. They don't run often and so a lot of people are competing for very limited seats. Other than that, the hotel is good.

Room rate was OK, but bar prices and restaurant prices were very high.

Great room for the money. Excelent bar attendance. Poor reception attendance.

For the business traveler or tourist this was a great choice. It's a strange mix of modern and baroque furnishings in a huge package, but the free shuttle service to/from Barajas Airport and to/from the city of Madrid was a terrific perk for us. We used the hotel for a base for touring Madrid, and as a waystop for touring Spain via rental car or airline. There is a car rental agent on-site at the hotel. It can be noisy in the public areas because of tour groups and business meetings, but the sleeping wings were quiet.

The room was very clean, the hotel is HUGE!!! The only bad thing is that this hotel is in a secluded area so you can not leave unless you have a car. They have a very very nice breakfast buffet!

For a foreign driving, finding the exit to the frontage road that the hotel is on was a nightmare.

Front desk needs improvement, they didn't respond my calls most of the times. My child got hurt and I couldn't get any body to help me

This is a good hotel for the business traveler. If you lack a laptop computer, there is free computer access and copy machines. It is also extremely close to the airport. This is not a good hotel if you are in Madrid for tourism and leisure, as it is far from the historic district. The room darkening shade in our room was falling apart, but since we had to get up early to catch our flight, it wasn't a big issue. Other than the torn room darkening shade, the room was fine. Note: Every hotel we stayed in in Spain (we stayed in three) had bathtubs with shower doors that only covered half the length of the tub. It takes some getting used to in order not to make a flood in your bathroom. Also, this hotel had a very poorly lit garage, but it had plenty of parking spaces, and plenty of maneuverability room. All the other hotels we stayed in had tiny garages with two-way traffic on ramps that were only as wide as one car. We narrowly missed having a head-on collision in one of our hotels, but not the Auditorium.
