Hotel Isaacs Cork - Cork

Nice for the money. One of the larger rooms we stayed in while in Ireland. Water feature was very pretty. Parking was a couple blocks away, but better than parking on the street.

generally the hotel room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom /shower was dirty and is in need of refurbishing. On one occasion the maid didn't clean the room nor change the dirty towels. The room I stayed in was at the far end of the hotel (back) and there was lots of noise due to the fact the restaurant staff was constantly dumping empty bottles in the rubbish bin in addition, there was heavy foot steps coming from the above floor coupled with banging doors from the next room. the staff was very unfriendly and during the five days I was there only 1 staff said good morning, once.

This place was terrible. It is impossible to sleep in darkness in this hotel, because the light from the hallway shines through the top of the hallway windows (yes, all the rooms have glass windows into the hallways). If you happen to get a room on the courtyard side of the hotel (as we did), you will be thrilled to listen to the voices of people in the courtyard echo through the walls ALL night. On top of it all, the parking for the hotel was 2 blocks away from the actual hotel and the staff was completely unfriendly. When we asked for advice on a good restaurant in the area, they pointed to a book and couldn't recommend anything.

You'll find two internet shops 2 minutes walk on the left when you leave the hotel (an old one and a very modern and confortable one, in a video renting shop, 1 euro for 1 hour)

Great hotel and lovely staff, especially the patient and always smiling night porters! Perfect location for exploring cork city. The resturant serves top quality food and has an early bird menu that is very affordable. Will definately stay again and recommend to friends and family. Thanks for a great wkend!!!

We stayed at the Hotel Isaacs in January 2009 and was ideally situated for town centre, train and bus stations. The airport shuttle bus also stops right outside. There is an extremely good restaurant attached to the hotel called Isaacs, which we found quite expensive but this was mainly due to the poor rate exchange of the euro. There are several pubs and eating places within a few yards some of which have live music. Cheap breakfast can be found nearby so don't use the hotel and good sandwiches and snacks at the small pub opposite called the Dan Lowry.

This hotel has it's own waterfall!! The room I stayed in was very good and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, locaton is good 10 min walk into Cork town centre. The shuttle bus from Airport stops right outside this hotel.

I'll keep this short, great hotel, clean, modern, great location, staff really friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is nice and the courtyard with waterfall bliss. I'll definately go back.

our stay in hotel isaacs was very enjoyable the location was excellant very close to patricks st great resturants near by and impressive theatre across the road. the only fault i can make was the carpark was difficult to find and wasnt signposted.

Our stay did not start of very well - the first room we were given was horrible. The bathroom was filthy with mold and mildwew. The drapes were very dusty and the room was facing the street which was very noisy with people being rowdy outside as well as cars and trucks passing by. There is a restaurant downstairs and we could hear a lot of noise. After not being able to sleep we complained to the late night manager and were given another room. The late night manager was very sympathetic and provided great customer service. Our new room was wonderful. The room seemed to have been newly restored. The furniture, tv, bathroom were newer than our original room. This room was on the quiet side of the hotel and was very nice. This hotel is great, but depends on the room you get.

what a little gem! ideal location, spacious room, near to best pub sien e, Greenes restaraunt is great, superb presentation, delicious food, staff extremely helpful. thoroughly enjoyed our trip. cannot wait to return.

The hotel is well situated for getting around the city of Cork although the street itself was a bit shabby. The hotel was nice and the room was fairly large but the bathroom could do with being upgraded. The rooms all have a very odd curved glass floor to ceiling wall that looks out to the hotel corridor, luckily there was a curtain for privacy! Staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the noise. We had asked for a room at the back to get away from the main street, but there was a continual banging of bins from the kitchen staff which continued right up until 12.30am. All the doors in the hotel seemed to slam shut also which was quite annoying. All in all, though, it was a pleasant stay in a comfortable room.

Great location with bars close by, for live music and good atmosphere try gallaghers. Very helpful staff and easy car parking arrangements just a 2 minute stroll away accessed by remote fob supplied by reception. Quiet drink by the waterfall that occupies the courtyard of the hotel bar is good way to start your evening if waiting for fellow guests to appear.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel in beautiful Cork. Very comfortable rooms and nice bar. Did not eat in hotel but restaurant next door which shares it's name is very popular and also recommended. Front desk staff a bit on the dour side. With so many friendly and attractive locals, why do they have to employ sullen and rude foreign staff.

siamo stati all'isaacs due notti. l'albergo ha un ottima posizione si trova vicinissimo al centro oltre ad essere vicino alla stazione degli autobus, mezzo utilizzato per arrivare a cork. il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo, la stanza era ampia e pulita il personale gentile e disponibile...
