I have mixed feelings about the Duo. It is quite far out of the way; that being said, it is a short walk from the red line, which takes you directly into Prague's city center. I didn't time the ride, but I think it was about fifteen minutes. Like many Prague hotels, the lobby reeked of cigarrette smoke. Even though my room was nonsmoking, at night, the smoke wafted through the ventillation system, making me uncomfortable at times. More than likely this is a situation in many Prague hotels, so I don't know if I can hold it against the Duo. Like many hotels, its staff is a mixed lot. At the information desk, a young woman curtly told me that there was only one afternoon train to Berlin. I had a ticket and knew that there were many on the day I wished to travel. A fellow tourist helped me find the correct schedule, while she "the information guru" ignored me and talked with friends. She was wrong, and her error could have cost me over six hours. A mistake is acceptable, but a mistake delivered in a rude, uncaring manner, is not. I saw a bit of that. The breakfast is typical of Prague, but not bad. I liked the whole leaf tea that was provided and the excellent selection of breakfast items. I give them high marks for efficiency in this area. Bottom line: I stayed there because the rates were much cheaper than in the nicer areas...New Year's caused rates to increase. The rooms were simple, yet clean. The staff had many helpful people; I wish I remembered their names.

Clean comfortable rooms, very good location for getting into the centre, would recommend and would go back to this hotel.

Hotel was excellent, a fair way from the centre but with the new metro service only 50 yards away, no problem at all.

breakfast at this hotel is fantastic, pity i cant say that about the hairdressers not enough english spoken to understand how to cut hair had to stop her half way through and she had the cheek to charge me full price not impressed at all.

We stayed at the Duo for 3 nights in October and were very pleasantly surprised at the quality for what we paid. The buffet breakfast was superb with a fantastic selection. Although it is well outside the centre of town the new metro station is right opposite the hotel and all transport is cheap. Prices in the hotel's bowling alley are much lower than the hotel bar.

The hotel was comfortable enough but disppapointing in that you only had a complimentary tea/coffee in room for first day unusual for 4 star hotels. The spa which we had looked forward to having treatments from was closed with no indication of when or if it would reopen. The food in restaurants was excellent but you had to walk through a lobby filled with people smoking to get there. The smell of smoke permeated the entire building. Good transport links but would probably not stay there again.

We stayed at the Duo for 7 days and would certainly go back there. Most of the staff spoke very good English and were helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered choices of hot or cold food but unfortunately the grilled bacon was always COLD. The only restaurant open on our first two nights was the Gourmet, the menu was varied and the food was good but not cheap! After that we never got back in time to eat in. The close proximity to the new Metro station makes the distance to the centre of Prague irrelevant. It takes 20 mins and the trains are clean and frequent. The room includes tea and coffee making facilities but tea and coffee are only provided for your first night so take some with you.

We stayed at the hotel Duo last week and I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews on Trip Advisor. We made our own way to the hotel from the airport on the airport express bus and then by tube to the station straight across from the hotel which was easy. When we arrived at the hotel we were given our room key and advised which way to go to our room which was in block B on the 8th floor. The room was very bright and clean plus the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast each morning was from 6.30am till 10.30am and was very good there was a choice of full English or Continental. We would stay again

Prague is a beautiful city full of history , its clean and i felt comfortable and safe walking day & night, its roughly in line with the uk price wise £2 a pint ect ,cocktails £6-7 , 2 people 3 course meal depending on what you order £30-£50 , make sure you check your bill some places will charge you for anything and may try slip some extra on your bill. the people well in the main unhelpful with the odd nice 1 every now and then , but i guess its understandible wtih how some of the tourist act towards the staff so make your mind up , if you are a well mannered polite person the staff warm to you in the hotels its a bit different in the shops and restaurants it can be friendly or rubbish. i rate the holiday 3 overall because of the few times because of staff we ended up with the short end of the stick but i would still recommend prague to anyone just go with an open mind

Everything was good it is a nice hotel well connected to the centre of Prague. People in the hotel also are good. Excellent breakfast too.

exelent hotel good sized swimming pool fitness centre also with bowling ally the new metro is a massive advantage to this hotel (literally on doorstep) airport express bus is only three stops away (45 czech Koruna) Free tesco bus to hypermarket all in all this hotel is conveniatly located for easy reach to all parts of Prague

Descent hotel, busy lobby, good breakfast. Very cold attitude of reception staff. Not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of immagination.

Stayed in hotel over the easter break in 2008 with my wife. Hotel is 35 mins away from airport and approx 25min away from center. There is a minibus shuttle survice from hotel which end at 20:30 in the evening, not really ideal, but there is buses every 10-15 minutes if you can stand the waiting and walking to get to the hotel front door. This would all disappear if the newly built train station opens to the public. Found the breakfast to be very poor in comparison to other Hotels that I have been to rated with three stars, this was supposed to be a four star hotel. When I visit Prague again I would locate a hotel closer to the center, so I don't get depressed looking at the grey buildings enroute to the city center.

we found the duo was good value for the money. a few things offputing though. the shuttle was hit & miss,on some times ,not others. info desk were the same,i felt as we hadnt booked any of there trips,it was a struggle to get info! also nobody seemed happy & we tried to make conversation but gave up really. perhaps its there past i dont know. prague was great,lots of walking though.the transport system was very good,the hotel was a little too far out of centre. it took about 40mins,although on our 1st day as verdi station was shut it was around 90mins,after a few bum steers.still we did get to see some of pragues outskirts, 1 block of flats after another!!! all in all we will go back,maybe in summertime & to a hotel closer in.

The Hotel Duo exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms are clean, comfortable and maintained daily by friendly staff. The breakfast buffet selection is overwhelming and caters for all tastes. The bar is friendly, cheap and well-stocked, and provides an ample supply of bar snacks quickly and efficiently, to order. Limited entertainment is provided at the weekends, and limited sports coverage is provided by large screen TVs in the bar areas. The onsite sports facilities are good and the swimming pool is maintained to a very high standard. Travel to and from the centre of Prague is simple and is streets ahead of our transport system in its integration and frequency of services. The Hotel provides a shuttle service to and from the end of the Metro line which can get a bit busy. Public transport buses can be significantly quicker at busy times and are a nice way to mix with the locals.

just a excellent stay all round, great place

There is a block where the (many) coach parties are roomed, and a 'quiet' block. We chose the latter, and the room was clean and quiet and the maid service was very efficient. Several restaurants on premises, serving meals till late. Breakfast is particularly to be recommended, most booking options seem to include this. The location requires a short bus ride from the end of the metro line. However the metro is being extended and a station is being built almost opposite the hotel. Until then it is worth using the bus since the hotel shuttle (to/from the nearest metro) is a too-small vehicle which finishes its runs rather early in the evening. The hotel has a non-stop casino on its premises, this seems a little out-of-place for a hotel with many young people and families staying. Even stranger are the offerings of one of the 2 gift shops on site - consisting predominantly of guns and knives. There is a supermarket approx 0.5 kilometres from the hotel, which keeps late hours, and a public phone box just outside the hotel grounds. Staff all seemed to speak good English, the front desk staff were actually more helpful than the (tour-selling) help-desk staff. Do get used to the buses, they are very cheap and there are bus stops right outside the hotel, taking you to the metro, into town, or to the local hypermarket. Probably one of the very best value-for-money stays that we've ever had.

First off, there is a casino in this hotel, so the lobby is packed with smokers at all hours. Second, the rooms need to be better kept - our shower leaked to the point of soaking the carpet (seeping under a wall) in the bed area.

It was a good deal for the cost. It was an OK place to stay within a fairly easy commute to the action area.

Hotel was large and catered to bus tours. Rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable, but way to spartan to qualify as a 4-star accomodation. Breakfast was fairly good (as one expects in Europe). Hotel was several bus stops PAST the end of the subway system (transfer required)and would have been really inconvenient if we hadn't scheduled our days to require only one round trip to the city. Neighborhood was "East European communist days dreary", not "Prague quaint", with a corresponding population. Price was better than close in hotels, but they looked more like real 4-star properties.

Vi stannade i Prag över en natt på genomresa och valde att bo på Hotel Duo då det låg nära motorvägen. Det var lätt att hitta, servicen bra och priset rimligt. Rummen var rena och fräscha. Frukosten var inte så kul, men helt ok. Vi hade hundar med oss och det fungerade utmärkt. Parkeringen bra med vakt.

Eccellente hotel, ideale anche per lunghi soggiorni a Praga : le camere sono estremamente confortevoli e spaziose col bagno grande e perfetto. La colazione internazionale a buffet è abbondantissima e variegata e ci sono anche 2 ristoranti interni. L'hotel ha anche una piscina per tutte le stagioni, la sauna, un bel parco verde e un ampio parcheggio privato.

Es sind zuviele Reisebuse im Hotel Parkplatzgebür ist eine Frechheit Preis viel zu hoch

Gezellig en levendig hotel , mooi ingericht ook de lobby maakt gelijk een goede indruk met een hele mooie bar, alleen de matrassen in de bedden waren een beetje aan de harde kant maar voor de rest lekker rustig ook s'nachts een heel goed aan te bevelen hotel

Dejligt hotel, lækkert morgenmad. Hotellet ligger lige over for metroen så efter 10 min står du midt i prag by. vi har boet der 3 gange nu og hvis jeg skulle til prag igen ville vi helt sikkert vælge duo igen (har også boet på andre hoteller i prag, som var dyrere) men duo har været det bedste.

Veldig fint hotell, Synes at de som jobber der er for alvorlig, kunne gjerne være litt mere smilende, spesielt i resepsjonen, men ellers stor sett fornøyd.

hôtel usine,entrée payante pour la piscine style communale, il faut attendre que les enfants de la ville aient fini leurs cours, pour pouvoir en profiter, vers 19h seulement. . Sauna mixte, il faut se mettre nu ... aucune pudeur... je n'y suis pas aller.

Syntes at det var et udemærket ophold vi havde, dog skal man regne med en del "støj" fra omkringliggende veje samt andre gæster...Desuden virkede deres aircondition ikke ordentligt - og der var for meget støj hvis man åbnede vinduerne om natten...Dette var et minus men ellers et dejligt centralt beliggende hotel for området [ds. nem adgang til transport]

Hotellet ligger i nära anslutning till motorvägen, dessutom skyltar hotellet så det är lätt att hitta till Hotel Duo. De har också en mycket bra parkeringsplats för en billig peng per dygn. Frukosten är mycket bra och har det mesta för alla smaker. Hotellet känns fräscht och har Internet och bra service. På gångavstånd finns metron som gör att det är väldigt smidigt att ta sig ner till centrum. Biljetter kan man köpa på hotellet. Stort köpcentra och matbutiker finns nära. Vår familj har bott på hotellet två gånger och varit nöjda båda gångerna. Vi kommer att åka till Prag fler gånger och då väljer vi Hotel Duo igen.

Ordentliches schönes Hotel, ein paar Kilometer vom Centrum entfernt. U-Bahn Haltestelle direkt vorm Hotel. Gutes Frühstück, schönes Hallenbad. empfehlenswert!!

Udemærket hotel til prisen.Personalet ganske venligt og hjælpsomt , dog kunne få virke mindre hjælpsomme. Morgenmadsbuffet meget varieret. Værelset fint , varmen kunne dog ikke reguleres ( 25 grader synes vi er varmt ).Gode faciliteter som bowling , svømmebassin og fittnescenter.Spændende hall med bar , fuglevolier , sjove opstillinger af dukker ved borde.Metro station tæt på .

j'y retourne si l'occasion se represente. le personnel est un peu froid mais comme beaucoup de tcheques. la situation de l'hotel est tres pratique pour se rendre en centre ville. la chambre rien a redire (c'etait une suite)

Det er ikke røykelov i Tsjekkia, noe som var svært plagsomt i hotell lobbien og baren, hvor det ble svært røykfullt til tider. Det var heller ikke Texas hold'em på hotell kasinoet :)

Kan anbefales. Hotellets betjening var hyggelig. Renholdet var kjempebra. Bassenget er bare gratis fram til kl 10.00 og kostet etter det 120 koruna noe jeg synes var litt for dyrt. Frokosten er helt ok. Veldig enkelt å komme seg rundt i praha ettersom hotellet ligger rett ved siden av strizkov subben. Tok maks 10 min inn til byen og togene går hele tiden så det er nesten aldri ventetid. Jeg er veldig fornøyd og ville definetivt dratt tilbake til samme hotell om jeg skulle til praha igjen.

Megfelelő felszereltségű, kifogástalan szálloda Prága külvárosában, sok szolgáltatással. A tömegközlekedés jó, bevásárlóközpontok közelében, csendes helyen. A szálloda saját parkolója egy kicsit drága.

Helt ok standard på rommene, litt dårlig mat og service på den internasjonale restauranten, men både i resepsjonen og i informasjonsdisken samt baren var servicen ypperlig.

Bra hotell som är perfekt om man har barn med sig. Pool, bowling m.m. Ligger dock ej centralt men närhet till metro gör det enkelt att smidigt ta sig runt i Prag.

jeg syntes at hotoelet og morgenmaden var meget fint samtide er der i maj md kommet en ny metostation næsten lige uden for hotelet så alt virker fint

Et hotel beregnet til masseturisme - men der bliver taget stort hensyn til individuelle rejsende. De kan bl.a. nyde den fantastiske morgenbuffet i et separat lokale uden at blive overrendt af horder af busrejsende grupper. Vores værelser (9. sal) var rene og pæne, rengøringen upåklagelig. Og generelt var servicen effektiv og venlig. Og så ligger Metroen lige uden for hotellet. 10 minutter til centrum - 2 min fra motorvejen for dem som kører selv.

Dejligt nemt at finde når man kører ad motorvejen til Prag. Hotellet er OK til prisen og morgenmaden er ganske udmærket. Dejlig nem adgang til centrum med den nye metrostation næsten lige uden for døren. Rig mulighed for fysiske aktiviteter i svømme-, bowling- eller motionshal. Vil helt sikkert benytte hotellet igen ved næste kortere besøg i Prag

Hotell Duo hadde for oss en ypperlig beliggenhet.  Vi kunne la bilen stå og reise med metro inn til sentrum.  Metrostasjon like i nærheten.  Ypperlig frokost og bra restaurant.

Zimmer - sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichet. Frühstück - reichhaltig und gut, der Kaffee ist davon ausgenommen. Restaurants - Essen gut, Kellner teilweise doch sehr mürrisch. Schwimmbad/Sauna - lohnt nicht Parkgebühren für diese Lage doch unangemessen (zu hoch).

Goede locatie, ligt direct naast een nieuwe metrostation, dichtbij de stad. Grote kamer, comfortabel en netjes. Echt ideeal om te overnachten.

Eigenlijk is de opmerking stug niet alleen voor het hotel personeel maar voor bijna de gehele bediening in Praag bedoeld. Praag zelf is een schitetrende stad met voor elk wat wils. Cultuur, goed eten, mooi winkelcentrum. Maar mijis opgevallen dat het personeel niet altijd klantvriendelijk is. Maar dat weerhoud ons er niet van om zeker nog een keer terug te gaan.

Ubicato a circa 9 KM dal centro ma da maggio 2008 c'è la fermata della metro a pochissimi metri. Darei un giudizio ottimo alla truttura ed ai ristoranti all'interno, la pulizia delle camere invece è un po' superficiale.Il pacheggio (a pagamento)è custodito giorno e notte.
