Kyriad Paris XIII Italie Gobelins - París

A lot of the reviews said this hotel was really far out, but I really didn't think so. I live in DC and the time it took me to reach the tourists attractions felt completely acceptable. The room was was small. But it was clean and kind of what I expected for the price. I did get stuck in the elevator one morning (fortunately only 5 min), but it was fixed by later that afternoon. They didn't need to see any ID or papers to check in or check out which I thought was a little sketchy--but I had a place to sleep each night and nothing went missing. I would recommend it if this is in the range of your budget.

This hotel is for people on a budget. The rooms were a bit small but didnt matter as you just sleep there. Hotel is close to Metro station. To get here, get down at Place d'Italie metro station. Its a 5-10 min walk to the hotel from the station. The lady receptionist was really nice and answered all the questions. Free Wi-Fi included. Water is expensive everywhere so find a super market nearby and buy water from there.

good place for the price. its right next to the metro and next door is an internet cafe. the desk was very helpful and spoke english. the room was not the cleaniest and the walls are very thin. i'd definitely recommend it for the price.

Very good budget hotel located in nice district within easy metro to attractions.One drawback was the noise from within and outside hotel.I suspect they were renovating the hotel but 7 am was a bit early.Also try not get a room next to the lift.

well all we wanted was a clean ,cheap place to stay near the main part of paris and that is what we got service was very good staff very pleasant and well spoken english.Room was standard with everything you would expect and to be honest we dident stay there long as we were so busy.other thing is the we dident ask for the room to be changed by putting the sign up and it was still changed and the door was left wide open when we came back.kinda dangerous.but i really enjoyed my stay here and would really recommend this hotel for anybody travelling for just a few days.

Good room, but a little outside of "the" area.

I would highly recommend the Kyriad that we stayed in. For the price offered through Hotels.com it was excellent value and the location was fabulous. Great cafes on our doorstep and plenty of interesting stuff walking distance away. A couple of Metro stops a few minutes away was a bonus also. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the stay a pleasure.

Good price, but a little out of the center of Paris. Very easily accessible by the Metro. The room was small but clean. Very thin, uncomfortable pillows and a fan would have helped cool down the room a bit. Clean, nice bathroom and room. Staff unclear that breakfast was only available at a charge, but overall helpful staff.

The hotel bed is small and very low to the ground. The room was not vacummed daily. The hallways and stairs are dark since they have light motion sensors/switches. The hotel is very close to the metro station with multiple transportation lines. Staff is helpful in providing tourist with map to include main Paris attractions.

This hotel was clean and the 1 staff member was very curtious. The great thing about this hotel was the location.

The room was clean, esp the bathroom, albeit small, and for the price I was pleasantly surprised. Good location about 100 meters from Place d'Italie Metro, welcoming lobby, friendly staff who spoke English and a very nice breakfast (8 Euro). Many cafes and restaurants nearby. Disappointments: internet only on lobby level and 2F (I was on 1F); small beds- I booked a Single and got a room with 2 coffin beds; thin walls if you care about that kind of thing. Otherwise, very pleased. Recommended.

This hotel was actually pretty great for the price. My room was pretty small but it didn't really matter. The hotel staff was very helpful and you can buy all sorts of tickets right at the desk! I would recommend the red bus tour, it was fabulous! Other than the Notre Dame it was kind of far away from the other BIG sights, like the Eiffel Tower. It was a 18 Euro taxi ride to get there.

Our room was a nice size, very clean, and everything worked. The staff was friendly. We would certainly stay again.

The noise level is very high. The walls were 'thin'. I could hear conversation in the next guest room. It was located in the same block as a grocery store, several restaurants and the Metro station was within a block.

Hotel was in a good location, clean room and very helpful reception. I would stay there again.

The room boasts 'modern decor' and balconies and such. For the money, you can find something much cleaner and roomier. After traveling all over europe, I can guarantee that. The room smelled terrible and the floors were filthy. The shower appeared to be so old that the dirt could not possibly come off of it. Additionally, a staff person at the buffet was incredibly rude and while I was told the breakfast buffet was free in the morning (as with most European country hotels), the staff charged us anyway.

Modest, neat and tidy hotel in a great location at a great rate. Hotel owner spoke great English and was very helpful in booking us an affordable airport shuttle which was bang on time. Main room is par for the course for France (about 11 foot square - the size of my bedroom at home in fact) but the bathroom was quite spacious and very clean - almost the same size again. Location is great - 5 minutes walk from 2 metro stations, pleasant non-threatening ambiance but with with lots of restaurants, bars and eateries nearby (especially Italian pizza and pasta naturally). Boulangerie 50 yards toward Gobelins metro had incredible pain au chocolat and bread. It's not 5 star luxury but it is clean, reasonably sized, incredibly well priced, with helpful staff always on hand and in a lovely part of Paris. I took my wife and 4 year old son and had a great stay. Can't recommend it enough to those wanting a budget hotel that does the basics very well and is in a great location.

We stayed here in May 2008. Our room definitely surpassed my expectations-- it was definitely spacious enough for my husband and me, and our luggage (and there was a wardrobe for storing our luggage). The bed was comfortable, and the linens were clean. The walls are a little thin, but we weren't bothered by too much noise from other guests or the street. The bathroom and shower were clean and adequately sized. The in-room coffee, tea, and biscuits were a nice touch (lovely for an early-morning pick-me-up). With the exception of one day-shift concierge who was less helpful than the others, the staff was friendly and helpful. The 8 Euro breakfast, a buffet, was a decent value that included croissants and other breads, ham, cheese, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, cocoa, milk, and juice. This hotel is a VERY easy walk from the Place d'Italie, provides easy access to Metro lines 5, 6, and 7 (with easy transfers to other lines), and is in a "useful" neighborhood that felt very safe.

our stay was only scheduled for one night and that was shortened due to airline delays. But, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We reserved a room for 2 adults and one child, we got a room with one double bed. When I went to ask the front desk about needing a bigger room they said that the double bed was room for three. I was too tired to argue. Room was the size expected and location was fine.

The hotel is ideally located in a very nice area called Place d'Italie. It has a movie theater at the end of the block, and many shops and restaurantes. It's about a 20-25 min walk to Notre Dame and even less to the Pantheon. There is a metro station located within 2-3 blocks of the hotel, very eaasy. We took the RER from the CDG airport and transfered on the the main subwyline directly to the metro closest to the hotel. Very easy to find. Hotel staff speak English, very knowledgable and also sell tickets to events and shows.

Stayed for 3 nights and very happy with hotel overall. Best thing about it is the location- two metros within two minute walk, supermarket+ bakers at end of road, and tons of places to eat out in a very nice area. Very easy access to tourist sites. Hotel in quiet sidestreet- car parking outside if you can squeeze into a space(use metro instead). Very clean, basic amenities, all you need if using as a base for sight-seeing. Mattress extremely firm and pillows too thin, bath very small(shower use only). Flatscreen TV with over 30 french channels, CNN only english speaking channel- it is in France after all! Breakfast 8euros-croissants/bread/hot choc/coffee/cereals/OJ-nothing flash, but you can fill your boots, better offerings at cafes outside. Staff very friendly as were most in Paris(except on Metro). Would definitely return for a short break- good value for money.

Very nice affordable hotel. Good location with plenty of restaurant and shopping. 3 Metro lines at a close by station can get you anywhere in Paris fast. You don't even have to change lines to get to the Effiel Tower. The room was good enough, small but comfortable. Nice bed but I agree with the other review, the shower was small but plenty of hot water. We stayed in Feb 08 so the room temp was just fine and we almost had to turn the room heater off. Free wifi in the lobby though from floor 2 I was able to get it occasionally in my room. We didn't try the breakfast(addl cost) though it looked good.

The staff at the Hotel Kyriad (Italie Gobelins XIII) was extremely helpful and didn't hesitate to speak English to my fiancee and I (as we didn't speak very fluent French). They also offered discount tickets for an airport shuttle so that we didn't have to take the train/metro back to the airport (which can be somewhat of a hassle combined with the stress of getting to the airport on time) and tickets for the Bateaux-Mouches. The rooms were kept extremely tidy and the bathroom was immaculate. I didn't expect such a great experience before my arrival at the Hotel Kyriad, and I will definitely keep this hotel in mind in the future.

Room was clean, relatively spacious and exactly what was needed. Hotel's location is great - walking distance to the nearest metro, and only a short ride to the main sights. Highlight, though, is the excellent service.

The place is nothing special at all, but it's in an excellent location and good value for the money. It is clean and if you get a room on the top floor, you may even get a view over the roofs of Paris. The service is very basic. Bars, restaurants, etc are nearby. The hotel also offer internet access through wifi in the lobby. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Pour dormir c'est bien, pour y séjourner y a mieux, c'est vieillissant et bruyant.

Inget jättemärkvärdigt hotel, men rent. Centralt läge, 15 minuter gångväg till chinatown söderut och samma avstånd till restauranger i latinkvarteren, Rue Mouffetard. Flera Metrolinjer och stationer inom 5 minuter.

Hotellet har en god beliggenhet , et rolig område, rett ved metro og ikke langt fra sentrum. Det er rent og fint i forhold til prisen. God service. Kan anbefales.

LE CONFORT EST CORRECT. LE SEUL BEMOL C'EST L'ECRAN DE LA TELE QUI SE TROUVE DANS L'ANGLE ENTRE LA PORTE FENETRE DE LA CHAMBRE ET LA PORTE DE LA SALLE DE BAIN. LORSQUE LA FENETRE EST OUVERTE C'EST UN PEU DIFFICILE DE VOIR CORRECTEMENT LA TELE. A PART CA, UN ACCUEIL VRAIMENT SYMPATHIQUE. CONCLUSION BON RAPPORT QUALITE/PRIX

Hotellet är inte kanske det vackraste som finns i Paris, men inte heller det dyraste. Vi fick fjärde natten gratis och det gjorde att vistelsen blev billig och bra. Kvarteret är mycket trevligt och gangavstand till femte och dess bokhandlar. Receptionen hade öppet 24 timmar och även om inte frukost ingick är det ju ttrevligt att äta den ute.

La remarque que je ferais, la facture est débitée avant le séjour. C'est un manque de confiance vis à vis du client, puisque celui-ci laisse déjà son n° de carte bancaire.

Dit hotel, gelegen tussen de metro stations Place d'Italie en Gobelins, is een leuk hotel voor een weekend weg. Ideale locatie t.o.v. de metrolijnen. De check-in verliep zeer soepel, enkel een naam opgeven was voldoende. De kamer is klein, het "2-persoons"-bed ook. Het is een twijfelaar 140x180), dus lekker knus. Benen steken een stuk uit, helaas. Ontbijt uitgebreid, en slechts 8 euro. Goede koffie!

Acceuil très sympathique mais réveil le dimanche très matinal (beaucoup de bruit a partir de 7h30). Chambre très mal insonorisée

Hotel bien situé. Station bus et métro, restaurants, centre commercial à deux pas de l'hôtel, place d'Italie. Le personnel est agréable. Possibilité de déjeuner dans la chambre. Seul inconvénient, les murs sont peu épais si bien que l'on entend les voisins de chambres (TV, ronflements, discutions) l'idéal est de tomber sur des voisins discrets ! Bon hôtel dans l'ensemble.

Le personnel est trés sympatique, cependant la chambre est minuscule, le lit également avec des ressorts qui viennent vous faire mas dans le dos. la douche ne permet même pas d'y rentrer a deux. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est bien.

Accueil très bien, on vous donne votre clé, puis arrivée à votre chambre, le lit est fait. Puis, 1/4 d'heure après, toc toc, un personnel de chambre veut finir la chambre en 2 mn ( aspirateur, sdb, bref un peu déçu. Il était 12h40. Sinon hotel calme.
