Todos los hoteles en Sorrento"Knockout views"

This hotel, while a bit inconvenient to downtown Sorrento, has gorgeous veiws of the town, Bay of Naples, Vesuvius and surrounding hills. There is a nice moderate sized pool, quite welcome in August. Room had a balcony as well as glass doors to enjoy the scene. Local bus stops at the front door for trips downtown. There is a restaurant next door but chose another that had a free pick-up "Il Borgo". Since I had stopped previously at this place and saw the "old baker" making fresh dough for the eve. I had to try their excellent pizza and gnocchi. Not disabled accessable.

This hotel was very quaint and beautiful. Not very regal and expensive, but the views were spectacular. There are a lot of stairs because it's on the side of a mountain, so we tried to minimize the trips from the car to the room. Our room was a generous size relative to the rest of our rooms in Italy. With a car, navigating the city and surrounding area was a piece of cake. We had trouble finding good places to eat in Italy, because it seemed as though every local you asked had a vested interest in a restaurant and wanted to help out a friend rather than recommend really good food. We had a similar experience at this hotel when we asked the concierge for the best restaurant in the area and he immediately said "Don Pablo, they have a free shuttle from here to there, I will go call them." We smelled a little scam so we opted to drive ourselves and check out the menu and after doing so (and seeing only Americans dining there, presumably with the same recommendation) we decided to dine elsewhere. The concierge is very quirky and almost seems a little off, but he speaks English pretty well and is helpful with directions.

sobre value="10""Scenic quiet location for exploring the Amalfi coast"
Comentado por A, deSuffolk UK, el jun 9, 2009
This hotel offers a great base to explore the Amalfi coast and a very tranquil place to relax in the evenings with a stunning vantage point over Sorrento and the bay of Naples. It does lack in facilities as thier is no restuarant and it is nothing other than a reception, a small pool and a breakfast area. The breakfast is basic, tinned fruit and some pastries being the highlight.. A car is recommended for this hotel as it is 7km uphill from Sorrento. There is a bus stop outside but the timetable is pretty flexible, although regular, and it is certainly not suitable for pushcairs or wheelchairs. On that subject Italy is not at all suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. The car parking at the hotel is limited and during busy times you may not get parked off the road in the evenings if you arrive back late, having to park at the side of the road leaving it to the mercy of Italys lunitic drivers. The staff at the hotel are helpful and friendly and the room service is excellent. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be in an out of the way peaceful location and you dont mind not having a restaurant within walking distance of your room, this is mitigated by a self catering facility in the rooms. This is not a Sorrento hotel and if you are want to use Sorrento daily then I would suggest a hotel closer to the town.

Spacious Room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful bay and hills of Sorrento. The staff was exceptionally friendly and kind. The breakfast was wonderful and the front-desk man personally makes you whatever hot drink you want in the morning. Very, very clean room. Definitely recommend this hotel!

A beautiful, quiet spot, high up in the hills. An amazing view from the terrace outside the room. Peaceful and relaxing. Not walking distance from the town but a great place to tour the amalfi coast from.

Le Terrazze has an absolutely gorgeous view. It's in a beautiful location in the hills above Sorrento. The staff was very friendly overall. The rooms were small but clean. The hotel is 15-20 minutes on the bus from Sorrento, so be prepared for a long commute. We paid 50 euros for the taxi when we arrived with our luggage. I'd recommend it only for those with a car and in good physical condition to climb stairs. Our room was on the lowest terrace, and getting the bags up and down was challenging. There's no one to help with luggage. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Le Terrazze--just be prepared.

The hotel itself was good, the rooms were big esp. for Europe, the staff was helpful, although they did recommend a nearby restaurant with free taxi service that was awful, and the view is magnificent. The major issue was the location. There is a bus that stops right in front, although it is hard to spot on the return trip. The bus stops running at 11:30pm so if you wanted to go out for the night you would have to pay a cab 35 euros. The bus was also really crowded and required standing on most trips during the day. I would recommend the hotel to someone with the knowledge that it was 15 minutes away from the town of Sorrento. Actually it was nice being out of the tourist mayhem.

If you're looking to really see Sorrento and the Amalfi coast in a minimal amount of time, do not stay here. This hotel is very far from central Sorrento and the busses aren't 100% reliable. Taxis are expensive too! If you do stay here and take the busses around, take notes on the surrounding hotels so that you'll know when to alert the bus driver to stop. If you have lots of time to spend in Sorrento, then definitely stay here, as the view is AMAZING. However, if you're only in town for a few days, do yourself a favor and stay more central to the bus station/ferry port. The breakfast was sufficient, but I would have expected more from a place like this. You do get your own kitchenette in your room, which is nice, but I definitely prefer not to cook while I'm on vacation! You can't beat the view of this hotel, but like I mentioned, it's just too far from town for my liking. There was a great hand-made guide book in the room that can help explain everything in the area you could ever want to do. My biggest complaint about this place is there are TONS of stairs and no elevators. It was difficult to lug my one suitcase around to get to my room (which was near the pool). I was a little disappointed when I had to leave the hotel early on my departure morning and didn't find any outdoor lights on to help me see as I lugged my bag back up all the aforementioned steps! I understand they probably don't want lots of lights on outside, but some guiding lights would have been much appreciated.

OMG we arrived as the sun was going down, and were speechless at the view from the reception area. We were so excited about going to Italy, but this exceeded our expectations. The greeting we got from the staff was friendly and helpful, and they gave us great advice about sorrento and how to get about. On their recommendation we ate in two restaurants local to the hotel, and were collected and brought back by the restaurant staff. The food was spectacular, as was the wine, the service and the setting. The hotel rooms had everything we needed, including a very small kitchen area. It was not luxurious, but was clean and very comfortable - especially the bed. Everything worked well. The pool area was small, but clean and more than adequate to service the 25 rooms. For us as a couple it was an ideal base to discover Sorrento and the surrounding area - very romantic. Driving on the narrow roads was hazardous, so if you are going to hire a car, then get a small one. With hindsight we could have managed quite well using public transport, which was quite cheap, but erratic and crowded.

I loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the view was absolutely amazing! There is a city bus stop right at the hotel, so getting to and from Sorrento and Amalfi was not bad. The hotel was kept very clean inside and out and the staff was very friendly. I would stay again for sure!

The hotel was in great condition & we had all the comforts we required. The staff were friendly and helpful. The views were brilliant. Only hesitation was in relation to transport to & from the center of Sorrento - although we were given a timetable by the hotel the buses were never on time, often infrequent & sometimes did not show up at all

I had a great experience staying at this hotel in Sorrento. It had a beautiful view over-looking the city and beach. We stayed in a spacious villa decorated really nicely. The people working there were extremely friendly. My only complaint would be there are too many stairs down to our suite, and if you have a lot of luggage like we all had, it can be very tiring. They should have someone to help bring your luggage to your room. Also, it is pretty far from the beach and main streets, you need to hop on a bus (15-20 minutes) to go down the mountain. Overall, I had a great time here.

The Hotel staff was outstanding and the view breath taking. The room was large and comfortable for a family of four. We only had one problem with a leaking shower that poured into the bathroom the staff tried to fix it but couldn't before we left. Sorrento is a nice city and a good place to visit Pompeii from. The bus into town was effective but the hotel is out of the way so you don't have much of anything within walking distance. I would absolutely stay here again.
