Gran Hotel Benahavis - Benahavis

Been going to this hotel now for a number of years . Laid back atmosphere, nice friendly staff, lovely spacious, spotless rooms and the location is amazing! Two lovely pools outdoors plus one indoors in the Spa. Drinks in hgotel are expensive....go up to the village instead! If you want more than the village (which has numerous fabulous restaurants and bars!) you will need a car. Can only comment of breakfast and snacks as we have not eaten in hotel restaurant. Breakfast is the usual buffet style ...very nice but often not too hot as is usual in Spain and the snacks we have had have all been excellent as was the service. One gripe is the use of plastic glasses when on way out in the evening as the pool bar is still the only one is use! If you like things laid back and relaxed you will enjoy your stay and for the value for money mad not to go!

I went to this hotel at the weekend for a wedding. Absolutley great setting. I would definitely recommend it for a wedding with little reservation. Food was so so. every other aspect was superb and there a numerous local restaurants to try also.

Been to this hotel many times now ...each time have found it to be very enjoyable. Reception always welcoming and helpful. Rooms are lovely and housekeeping excellent. Breakfast could always be warmer! Havent used the Spa so cannot comment. Same for the restaurant but have had snacks by the pool and these were very nice as was the service. Very relaxing place to stay.

Looked at it five years ago and thought it looked stunning, stayed for three night break and was not disappointed.

I have now been at two weddings in Ben a Vis, it is a Fairy Tale venue for a Wedding and the food is excellent

Very nice hotel, spacious, clean rooms and great value for money. Bar could have done with more staff but other than that had a good service. Pools very nice, could have done with a few more sunbeds though in the weekend. Would definitely recommend a stay there!

I fully recommend this hotel. It was in a beautiful setting. The room was lovely and spacious and very clean. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were helpful. It has a beautiful spa. The bar and restaurants were reasonably priced. It is within a short walking distance to the small town centre of Benahavis where there are tasty restaurants but can be pricey. You will need a car if you wish to visit local areas as Benahavis is a 10 min drive from the main highway.I would definitely go back to this hotel if I was revisiting the area.

This was the second time we visited the hotel. There has been a noticable decline in operational standards. The core problem would seem to be a lack of management and organistions. The staff tried their best, although at time wrer a little 'sour faced' but had no clear direction. The breakfast was also significantly inferior to our first visit in both quality and availability with items frequently running out

Oberhalb Marbella in den Bergen liegt dieses ruhige gepflegte Hotel.

Service variable.Don't try to have dinner there, they probably want to avoid guest in the evening. But there are really great restaurants in the village! Reception:From ten to zero, people are indeed different. Great room. Beautiful surroundings. Everybody should take a walk in the nature around.
