Novotel Edinburgh Centre - Edimburgo

Modern,clean & comfortable but a little expensive & rather more than a 10 mins walk from castle/centre & up hill from Waverley Bridge (bus & train station). Rather expensive breakfast at £12.95 per head if you book room only.

We stayed for one night to visit the Edinburgh Tattoo, but had almost 2 full days in Edinburgh. The hotel was very accomodating as we left our luggage in the morning as the room was not ready until 1pm and the following day after checking out could leave our luggage as long as we wished. The rooms (we booked 2) were very clean and had everything we wanted the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The hotel is well positioned for the castle and Princess street (as we are shoppers!) I would definitely stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to anyone

On the whole we were very pleased with this hotel, the reception staff (with perhaps one exception) were very friendly and helpful. The staff in the bar and resturant were very good, we cannot praise them enough. We never felt rushed but help was at hand whenever we wanted anything. The food was very good and we were very pleased to see the hotel serving a British wine, which was rather nice! The room was clean and even stylish but the fact that the toilet was just inside the room door but the wash hand basin together with the bath and shower right round the corner, even past the tea making things was a bit disconcerting to us, obviously washing your hands straight after using the loo is a bit of an advanced concept! The bed was also a bit hard but that is really a matter of personal taste. So to sum up, a good, clean hotel. Just what you would expect from a major chain.

This hotel was clean and the room was well equipped and fresh. We were dissapointed that the pool was closed for a week including the time we were there. Apart from that it was a lovely place to stay and I would go back to any Novotel hotel.

We chose this hotel because our previous experience of Novotel was excellant. Having stayed in Novotel Tower Bridge and Euston we expected the same level of quality and service. How wrong can you be! The room was far too small for us travelling with 2 children. Also there was so little wardrobe space, both hanging and drawers, that we lived out of our suitcases for 4 days, triping over bags everyday. When we complained we were told we could hang our clothing in a secure room in the lobby! Not acceptable. The general condition of the hotel was quite shabby and the bathroom extremely small. However, in fairness the breakfast was good. Would I stay here again - definately not! Try the Premier Inn next door wher breakfast is half the price.

Helt OK hotell i sentrum av Edinburgh

Etter ein lang dag med sightseeing i byen var det godt å komme tilbake på hotellet for å slappe av i bassenget og i massasjebadet. Da var vi og føttene klar for litt mer utpå kvelden, ikke minst barna!

Dejligt hotel til ok pris med kort til centrum. Mindre swimming pool i kælderen - en fordel når det har regnet hele dagen!

Til tross for at restaurant på hotel imponerer ikke, presentasjon og kvalitet, og for at komfort hadde noen detaljer som trekker ned, kjøleskapet på rom er en vits, er ellers service og renhet veldig bra. Hotel ligger sentralt slik at man kan gå og se seg rundt uten anstrengelse, lett å orientere seg. Anbefales ellers å gå ut til sentrum for å spise om man vil kvalitet og valuta for pengene.
