Very central hotel, staff were excellent and suggested places to go and eat... centre of the main street.. well worth a visit to the Alhambra while there.

There aren't that many upscale choices in Granada near the Alhambra, so I guess this one served our purpose but it was my least favorite hotel during my 2 weeks in Spain. There is no one outside the hotel to help with bags or assist with taxis. The front desk is super efficient, but barely says a word to you. The "free wireless service" in the lobby didn't work and was met with shrugs each time we asked about it. And the poor dining room is so ill-equipped that they asked numerous tables including ours, if we enjoyed our meal when we hadn't even placed our orders. The location is decent enough (about a 10-15 minute walk to the bottom of the Alhambra and another 20-30 minutes from there to the ticket office and entrance)and the rooms were serviceable and clean. The mini bar was included, so that was a nice amenity.

Stayed in room 110. Hotel was nicely located. Very Central. Albeit Difficult to access by car. The Hotel has no parking and the street going by outside is reserved for taxi's and buses only. Parked in multi story around the corner +20eu. Room was nice and clean. TV was bit small. Only a 20inch. The one major issue i had was sleeping at night. Most modern hotels these days have a nice big duvet. This hotel was one of the old school ones with like 3 bed sheets and one thin warmer blanket. The result is that you wake up in the middle of the night with blankets everywhere. Some balled up at your feet. I personally think duvets are a must for any hotel....Also i am light sleeper. Room 110 is just beside the elevator door so from about 6 in the morning, You get previewed to a lot of arly morning conversations. I am sure this would not be an issue in any other room except for those rooms beside the elevator doors on each floor. Also Granada is a flash back to Hanoi with people on mopeds and small bikes. These hedge strimmers with wheels are very noisey and kept me awake. I am a light sleeper so i wouldnt expect this to be a a problem for most. To sum it up, Hotels very nice during the day. But i found it hard to sleep. In.

We weren't sure what to expect, but i must say that our experience with the Palacio was excellent throughout our stay there. After getting lost in the narrow laneways of Granada, we pulled up to the Palacio on the wrong side of the road. The valet came across the road and sorted the car and luggage for us. Our room faced the main street, but the double windows made the rooms virtually unaffected by the traffic noise. Rooms were clean and comfortable, loved the decor. Free mini bar as advertised. The frontdesk staff were top notch, all spoke perfect English and were extremely helpful. Grateful for late check out at no extra charge!! That made sure we got on the plane with a fresh smelling baby!!!!

I had no experience with an AC hotel but found it to be beyond expectations during our stay in Granada. Competent multi lingual staff, great resources, and functional rooms.
