Callas Hotel am Dom - Colonia

Overall very pleased with Callas Hotel am Dom. The best things were the location (close to everything: shops, restaurants, main area attractions, visitor center, grocery store,bank, etc.), cleanliness, and staff hospitality. They had a good continental breakfast...different from a typical U.S.A. breakfast, but I believe a pretty typical breakfast in Cologne, Germany. If I had to say anything on the negative side, I would say the walls are a bit thin and the shower was a bit small. I would recommend this hotel.

We really liked this hotel because it is so centrally located. It is literally on the cathedrals door step and right on the main shopping area and also very close to scenic area on the river. Ideal for anyone spending a couple of days exploring Cologne. Also very close to the train station.

Small room with poor sound proofing. Heard every word spoken by neighbors in the wee hours of the morning while attempting sleep. Hotel refused to refund 6 nights of previously planned 11 night stay even though cancellation was made the first day of the stay.

Don't be put off as the entrance is a bit hidden (it the hallway next to the Hagen Daas ice cream shop), this is a cute little place. The rooms are simple, clean and the help is kind and helpful. The location is this hotel's strong point - the train station is a brief 10 minute walk as is the Cathedral Dom and large handful of museums. Recommend you stay for the breakfast -- quite nice!

If you want to be where the action is in Koln, stay at the Callas am Dom. You can see the catherdral from the hotel and the shopping area is just below your window. Great english speaking staff helped us on several occasions. The owner is personally on site. Tons of places to eat just a few steps from the hotel.

Located just a block from the Dom, this simple hotel will serve your needs if you want a central location near the sights and near the train station. Don't expect any particular luxury, but the rooms are clean and not too small. There's lots of street noise during the day, but the neighborhood empties out at night, so your sleep won't be disturbed.

The Callas Hotel is generally quite low standard. However, as I am almost not in my hotel room, I usually do not care. When I checked in, I asked for the complimentary free WiFi and I got it. When I checked out, however, they were quite aggressive and forced me to pay quite a large fee for it. Nothing is free in this world! Do you want to run this hotel? You are confused! Were all statements I had to put up with. Oh, and for these short stays I usually leave the Do Not Disturb sign on my door, as I do not require new towels etc. This did not stop them from entering my room and moving my things around. Avoid this hotel if you can.

Durch die äußerst zentrale Lage dieses Hotels ist man fürs Shopping und Flanieren mitten im Geschehen. Sollte man mal zwischendurch eine kleine Pause brauchen, dann geht man schnell beim Hotel vorbei und legt sich für 1/2 halbe Stunde aufs Bett bevors wieder losgeht. Die Nähe zum Dom und zum Bahnhof ist super. Das Zimmer ist zwar am Abend ein bischen laut, wenn man aber selber länger unterwegs ist stört das überhaupt nicht!

Litet hotell med bra enkla rum. Centralt belägen på gågatan vid Domen. Kan bli ljudligt när festprissarna drar hem på gågatan. Parkeringshus i närheten. Bra pris på centralt läge

Super Lage, sehr freundliches Personal

Das Hotel Callas am Dom befindet sich wirklich nur einen Katzensprung vom Dom entfernt Das Hotel an sich ist im Grunde genommen sehr schlicht gehalten dafür ist es jedoch sauber

Wir würden jederzeit dieses Hotel empfehlen, sauber, freundliches Personal , reichhaltiges Frühstück und tolle Lage, da man direkt in der Kölner City wohnt. Bahnhof und Dom nur wenige Meter entfernt.

Hatten ein Zimmer (Nr.30) zur Einkaufsstrasse, war sehr laut mit offenem Fenster zu schlafen. Fenster liess sich nicht auf kipp stellen, war defekt. Duschkopfhalter und Handtuchhalter waren an der Wand nicht richtig verankert. Für eine Nacht geht das schon.
