Decameron Cartagena All Inclusive - Cartagena

We stayed 2 nights in this nice 3-star hotel. Great pool, bar, etc. The Fish restaurant was excellent and the trip to the Japanese restaurant was even better. The staff was very helpful. It would be helpful to learn a little Spanish.

The hotel itself is truly a 2.5 to 3 Star Hotel. The staff is what brings it up to 3.5 Stars in my opinion. I've been inspecting hotels for a living for over 15 years. I would go back but I would not do an all inclusive scenario. I don't like feeling as though I have to go and eat because I paid for it already. Off to the gym to loose what I gained while there...

My husband, 4 year old daugher and I stayed there 3 nights in January and we enjoyed every second of our stay. the easy access to the beach, all drinks included, nightly shows and renovation of certain floors like the one we stayed in floor 22, was really nice. People were very friendly, food was okay but could have been a bit better. The hotel is very clean, and everything you need is there inside. Few advices, having an oceanview is nice, but be aware of the noice, might as well have an inside room like ours, but not have any noise at night, and last the tour service at the hotel is pricey, search through other agents or tours, b/c it makes a big difference they will still pick you up there, only difference is less $.

Very nice beaches. Decor is simple and bed firm. Rooms and hotel areas are very clean. Staff goes out of way to be of service! Would stay at hotel again.

This hotel has a good location to local attractions, reasonable quality food and friendly service for an all inclusive price. Staff at the front desk speaks English but was not very corteous to one of our friends, when he was working on resolving an issue with his room. However, it definitely is not up to the higher standards of other Decameron hotels. The worst part of the hotel was the construction in the lobby and the hotel in general needs updated. The beach at the hotel was ok but not the clear blue water I expected. Overall, the hotel was ok but I would opt for a nicer hotel next time even if it wasn't all inclusive.

The people and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is very nice. The hotel is very crowded with lots of charter tourists coming in and out. Internet access is limited to two computers in the main lobby (usually used by kids playing games). Food is decent but not gourmet, as expected for a 3 star hotel. The rooms are clean but plain.

The first day we walked into and around the walled city. It probably only took 15-25 minutes to casually walk there from the hotel. The hotel staff was great. The buffet and restaurant foods were ok, but nothing fancy. The Japanese restaurant in town was the only exception. The drinks from the bar were STRONG. The pool was nice to have, as the beach peddlers could be annoying. The nightly shows/events were very good and very entertaining. We were too tired to go to the nightclub/discotec so I can't rate that, although it did look pretty cool. All around a good stay. Oh yea, and the view from the room was AMAZING! Ocean/city view!!

Amazing service, everything was very convenient with their tour desk. Anything you wanted to do you just had to go to the tour desk and sign up. Very friendly staff, we arrived earlier than we planned and they took care of us at no extra charge. The city was beautiful and there was a running path around the bay that was two blocks away from the hotel. The fact that it was all inclusive was awesome too. I pretty much had a great vacation and didn't have to worry about making any plans while I was there. Everything was taken care off and anything i wanted to do was easy to do last minute.

The Hotel is nice but the people who works there are the best. They care for everyone and try to do their best to make your stay more enjoyable. I stayed there for 7 days and I didn't want to come back home. I don't really like buffets in general but the ones on this hotel are great, a huge variery of delicious food, I loved it. The restaurants are great. They only bad think I would say about the hotel is that it needs a little bit more of handicapped accesiblility on the second floor where most of the restaurants are located. Thank you for a great experience.

We were satisfied with the hotel, very good, good food and location. We had a great view from our room.The personel is very attentive and friendly. Good value for the money.

It's a great deal! The food and the beverages, always available. At dinner it was always a great treat.. fine dining all the way. The rooms were standard, and they have no means of hooking up internet or even a business center for that matter, so if you're expecting to do business while you're there, good luck! Other than that, it's a great deal!

My room was overlooking the ocean, the entretaiment was great and also the day trips that the hotel offers. I almost forgat the food it was gooood.

Wonderful hotel, the service was outstanding, Colombian people are very friendly, it seems that they read your mind. It turned out that we got a lovely newly remodelled suite with an oceanview! Food is excellent, for dinners you may chose from Italian, Steak or Seefood restaurants inside the hotel, or go to an outside restaurant in the Old Town and have Japanese or fusion cuisine (which is all included). Japanese was my favorite, the rest were great too. Nice shows and enterntaiment program at night. The trip to island Baru organized by the hotel was fun! Overall it's an excellent value, we actually extended our stay for a couple more days through Hotels.com, there is an internet cafe on the corner, it was cheaper than paying directly. Cartagena is a beatiful and very romantic city.
