Sofitel Munich Bayerpost - Múnich

My husband and I had a 4 night stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Even though it was next to a busy train station we didn't hear any noise and had a good nights sleep. The rooms were air conditioned and were cleaned each day. We had a very enjoyable stay and would go back to this hotel again.

The hotel was not too far from all the action in Munich. The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was very, very quiet with comfortable beds and a modern decor. The bathroom is somewhat awkward. It is essentially a glass-encased room that does not provide very good privacy. The shower was wonderful, but shared a floor with the rest of the bathroom so it made a bit of a mess. Still, the experience was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is great, though only affordable for me if I can book at at reduced rate such as I found on hotels.com Location is perfect - steps from the main train station in Munich The decor is beautiful, beds comfortable, bathroom luxurious, and just the building itself is interesting. Breakfast is exhorbitantly priced (20 Euro), though it is a fabulous breakfast. If you're looking for something basic, just head to teh train station on your way to where you are going. Room service was great also - food was good, service was fast & 2 complimentary little cookies topped it off.

Outstanding property. Good location, close to the train, subway, streetcars. Food expensive but quite good. Room price surprisingly inexpensive given property. Highly recommend.

The hotel was a perfect location for using the train to travel to other cities from Munich; it's a lovely hotel; the pool is beautiful; however, the rooms are designed more for couples than guests traveling as friends; the bathroom is glass and open and to close everything up to take a shower is annoying at times.

You can't get a better location than this; right across the road from the Hauptbahnhof train station, and 10 minutes walking distance from Marienplatz. The hotel itself is very tastefully decorated and the room was immaculately clean. The room was very large, comfortable, with a fantastic bed and a great view of the city. The staff were exceptionally helpful, extremely polite and all spoke excellent English. The only small point I'd make is that the breakfast buffet wont win awards for World's Largest Selection, but it was tasty and adequate enough.

The interior is a real surprise- modern, sleek and exciting. The location is perfect for train travellers- right next to the train station. The staff were extremely helpful. The man at reception gave me an upgrade to help us celebrate our anniversary! The concierge booked a very good restaurant and made sure they treated us well!! The bar is small but comfortable.

Location, location, location. The hotel is located right next to the central train station so going anywhere in Munich (or Bavaria) is easy. Fun restaurants and beer halls nearyby. Nice hotel. As in other reviews, expect to pay for internet access. Same for all nice hotels everywhere :(

This hotel was convenient to public transportation, and an easy walk to Marienplatz. The rooms are designed in a trendy, contemporary way with stone floor and movable glass walls in the bath and entrance areas.

Good points - Very easy to find - right next to train station - Comfortable, well-appointed room - Excellent soundproofing - Excellent pool/spa - Nice touches - bathrobes/slippers/umbrella Downside - Twin beds, no double - Expensive for non-inclusive items - Disappointed at length of wait for room to be prepared after arriving at midday (2pm!!)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was great and helped me with a variety of things. My room was very comfortable--fantastic bathroom with amazing shower and heated floors! I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is situated absolutely perfect for exploring the charms that Munich has to offer. From leaving the main station you are 1 minute away from the hotel by foot. The hotel is that of a very modern one, with no expense spared on the decor...the rooms are very spacious and the use of subtle lighting all around the hotel and rooms is carried out excellently..We were lucky enough to have a deluxe room which featured state of the art gadgets and a wetroom/bathroom that opened into the living area by utilising glass screens. The staff are very friendly throughout the hotel from concierge to the waiters/waitress serving a lavish breakfast.

Wonderfully designed hotel in an ideal central location. Short walk to old town, shopping districts and museums. Train station stones throw away with access to regional trains and underground subway. Comfortable room, modern and quiet.

Despite being next to the train station, usually not a good sign in Europe...this hotel was amazing! Ultra modern, amazing bed, great value for room service, beautiful lobby...spa...everything...wish I stayed longer!!!

This hotel had a beautiful historically flavored exterior, with a very clean lined, modern interior. It was very convienient to the train station, Octoberfest was about 5 blocks away, and old town was about the same. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Also dieses Hotel hat die 5 Sterne wirklich verdient. Sehr schöne und saubere Zimmer (bloß dass mit den Schiebetüren im Bad war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig), das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Ich werde definitiv wieder hingehen.

Flott nydesignet hotel i gammel inpakning, alt perfekt, frokisten kunne vært billigere, men til gjengjeld var utvalget av mat oversvømmende.

an access to the hot spots of munich, an eye catching style, nice suites... a good choice to enjoy some time in a promising city like munich. the only lacking part was my suite had a view of the bahnhof with some minor noise of trains decelerating and stuff. ask for your room view priorly.

Das Hotel präsentiert ein wunderschönes Ambiente zwischen Altem und der Moderne. Der Service war ausgesprochen exzellent und persönlich. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen, obwohl ich schon erwarte, richtige Rühreier zu bekommen und nichts aus der Tüte. In diesem Haus ist der Gast König. Auch wunderbar ist der Spa-Bereich. Wir wären noch gern länger geblieben. Hervorzuheben ist auch die gute Anbindung durch den öffentlichen Nahverkehr.

Wir haben zwei Nächte im Hotel verbracht. Gebucht hatten wir ein einfaches Doppelzimmer, haben dann aber überraschend ein für uns kostenloses Upgrade auf eine Suite erhalten. Die Suiten liegen im achten Stock des Hauses und bieten einen wunderschönen Ausblick. Insgesamt haben wir uns im Hotel ausgesprochen wohlgefühlt. Leichte Gebrauchsspuren an den Möbeln im Zimmer fielen nicht weiter in's Gewicht. Das Service-Personal war ehrlich freundlich und hilfsbereit, so wie es sein sollte. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Superior-Zimmer sehr dunkel. WC im Bad lediglich durch Glasschiebetür vom Zimmer getrennt. Für 2-Personen-Belegung daher nicht zu empfehlen

Das Hotel hat eine exzellente Lage, direkt am Hauptbahnhof. Einen ausgezeichneten Spa-Bereich. Die Zimmer sind sehr stylish, aber dabei nicht kalt, sondern einladend. Trotz der Lage bekommt man vom Straßenlärm überhaupt nichts mit. Ich kann das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Modern, strak 5 sterren hotel in het centrum van Muenchen (direct naast het station). Iedereen is enorm vriendelijk, behulpzaam en de service is uitstekend. Ontbijt erg lekker en de spa + pool bijzonder. Om en om een fantastisch hotel, waar je van je verblijf echt kunt genieten. Een echte aanrader!

Das Hotel Bayerpost hat die fünf Sterne wirklich verdient. Der Service, das Zimmer, die Lage und der Komfort waren wie schon oben erwähnt exzellent. Wenn man mit dem Zug anreist befindet sich das Hotel direkt neben dem Hauptbahnhof, der Anblick und die Fassade lassen einen wirklich staunen. Auch der Welness und Spa -Bereich hat uns begeistert, dieses Hotel ist wirklich eine Reise wert.

Nonostante abbia avuto la fortuna di soggiornare più volte in hotel a 5 stelle devo dire che questo Sofitel è uno dei più prestigiosi e piacevoli che abbia mai visto. La zona Spa è qualcosa di unico e gli interni sono minimalisti ma molto accoglienti. Sicuramente un non plus ultra
