Hotel Fira Congress - Barcelona

The hotel was beautiful, and the rooms were exquisitely designed. I was thrilled with my hotel choice until they put someone in the room next to me. I could hear the two girls talking and even hear the water hitting the floor in their shower while I was sitting on the bed in my room. The walls were paper thin. Also, the doors slam shut. There is not a mechanism on them to help the doors close quietly, so you hear the comings and goings of all of the guests on your floor. The location of the hotel is ok unless you want to go out in Barcelona at night. The subways close at 12 am during the week and 2 am on the weekends. If you're not back at the hotel by then, you have to pay for a $15 euro taxi ride back. What I saved from a lower hotel rate was spent on taxi rides and subway rides into BCN. If you are going to the convention center in that area, then the location is great.

The rooms are swish - modern electronic gizmos like Bang & Olufsen telephones & electric blinds, but the parts of the room that required some workmanship, like the painted walls, did not. Also the layout of the room is a little unusual; a doorless shower that leads out to the bed area & front door. There is a blind on one side between the sink & the bed but it's still a bit inconvenient if sharing a twin room with someone whose parts you don't want to see! Same if someone answers the front door! I originally booked the hotel because I was arriving at BCN airport’s new Terminal 1 which has no public transport & the hotel had a free airport shuttle. Despite calling before hand to arrange a transfer from the new terminal (& being told to merely phone when I arrive) I discovered on arrival (10pm) that they wouldn't collect or drop off at the new Terminal! This meant transferring on the inter-terminal bus to the old terminal 2B which took 20 minutes (whilst standing up) & then phoning the hotel again to reconfirm. (Being told to ‘wait outside the terminal & that I would see the bus’ didn’t narrow down the location much; another 20 minutes passed)! There were no signs for where to wait for hotel shuttle buses either. Eventually got to the hotel after an hour of leaving baggage claim. I had to leave the hotel at 6:45am the next morning to catch my 09:10 flight because the next shuttle at 08:00 wouldn’t give me enough time for the inter-terminal transfer. Will not use next time!

Notthat far away from the centre but it's no fun walking to the metro station in the heat!

Well, the hotel itself is nice, and clean, and I liked the room, in spite of the paper-thin walls that allow to hear any noise from the other rooms... Breakfast is not included, however if you're up for a very expensive cup of tea and a toast, you can have it for some 20 euros (quite crazy...we went to the ramblas and had breakfast there instead, a lot cheaper and better too, I'm sure). Other than that, the staff was quite helpful, and our stay was pleasant enough.

Une trés beau hotel, avec 1 chambre trés design, s trouvant dans un endroit calme pas loin de la place espagna.Nous avons passés un bon week end, a refaire.

Bon rapport qualité/prix sauf pour le petit déjeuner qui est hors de prix et de mauvaise qualité. Les chambres sont propres et modernes avec une décoration soignée, le personnel est très agréable et parle français. Je retiens cet hôtel pour un prochain voyage à Barcelonne. Sa situation est un peu éloigné de la Rambla mais le Taxi aller/retour coûte le prix d'une journée de parking. (20 euros env.)

l'hôtel est très design, très propre, le ménage dans la chambre est journalier et parfait. Le petit bar avec la mise à disposition chaque jour d'une bouteille d'eau, de coca et de fanta, ainsi que des produits pour le bain, accessoires (peigne, dentifrice, brosses à dents) ne rendent que plus agréable le séjour. Le coffre fort dans la chambre nous a sécurisé...La vue dégagée depuis la chambre avec les grandes baies vitrée très sympa. La grande literie très comfortable, les nombreux rangements très pratiques... Le jaccuzzi et salle sport toujours des plus... L'hotel est très beau en lui même Les transports a 10 MIN environ a pieds : bus et métro super pratiques... Le tarif accessible...pour un 4 étoiles le rapport qualité/prix, il ne faut pas hésiter.... Petit bémol : le petit parking intérieur non surveillé et sans barrière automatique..(seul un parking sous terrain payant 16 E)

L'hotel est très prope et trè chaleureux. Les pretations de service sont irréprochables. Attention : demander l'adresse exacte de l'adresse et sotir un plan avant votre séjour car localisation de l'hôtel assez difficile.

Ottimo albergo 4 stelle con centro benessere, tutto in stile hi tech, l'unico problema è stata a volte la pulizia delle asciugamani e poca polvere sui mobili per un 4 stelle ti aspetti il massimo anche in questo senso....comunque per il resto perfetto! ci tornerei tranquillamente è poco lontano dalla città con 2 metro arrivi al centro.

Jag kan väl rekommendera det här hotellet om man är villig att bo en bit utanför centrum av Barcelona. Rummet jag bodde i va väldigt fräscht och kändes modernt. Det städades varje dag och handdukar, tvål och duschartiklar byttes ut. Det tar ungefär 15-20min att ta sig in med tåg & tunnelbana till centrum av Barcelone, först får man ta ett tåg i 5min och sedan byta till tunnelbana, om man köper ett 10-klipps kort inom zone 1 gäller kortet på båda färdmedel. Jag och min kompis prövade hotellrestaurangen en kväll och jag kan rekommendera den till en viss grad, man fick mycket för pengarna men kvaliteten och smaken på maten var medelmåttig. Vi tog ett erbjudande som det ingick 3 rätter i och till det fick vi en hel vinflaska, 2 glas öl och en varsin kopp kaffe för 25 euro per person. Mycket prisvärt om man enbart kollar på vad som ingick men som sagt så var maten medelmåttig. Hotellet erbjuder även gratis shuttlebussar från och till hotellet.

Läget inte det bästa. Ligger en bit från Barcelona centrum men tack vare stadens heltäckande metrosystem är det inte något större problem. I närheten av hotellet finns en stor galleria för shopping, äta, m.m.. Personalen var väldigt hjälpsamma och artiga. Hjälper gärna till med vägbeskrivning, hotellrelaterade problem och allmän information du kan behöva. Dock vissa språkproblem med en del i personalen. Pratar ingen engelska bara spanska. Fina, fräscha och moderna rum, bra städning, nya handdukar varje dag, m.m.. Kassaskåp att låsa in värdesaker finns i rummen. På hotellet finns även gym och spa att utnyttja.

"Ask-me" service helt i top Dejlige værelser let tilgængeligt, men en beskrivelse af letteste måde fra lufthavn til hotel med bus/tog ønskværdigt.

super hotel, sehr saubere,große zimmer,schöne beleuchtung,zimmer in denen man sich richtig wohfühlt....das wellnesscenter war auch sehr sehr schön....es gibt nichts was ich kritisieren könnte....grandioses hotel das zugleich sehr preiswert ist und das zentrum ist auch sehr leicht zu erreichen,wird seinen 4 sternen zu 100% gerercht...

Var ett fint hotell, med god service och trevlig personal. Däremot uppfattade jag nog inte när jag sökte på ett hotell med pool att den var inomhus, detta borde ha stått bakom pool (indoors) eller ngt men kanske mitt eget fel, som inte kolla bilder och fakta ordentligt, men jag blev lite besviken. Kunde varit dushdörr/draperi för duschen, annars allt bra. Kanon med gratis vattenflaska på rummet och alla andra bekvämligheter.

Ett bra hotell med trevliga rum. Passar bra om man vill bo strax utanför stan. Hyfsade kommunikationer in till city. Lyxig frukost. Dock ej ngt avskilt badrum vilket kanske inte passar alla. Trevligt med bubbelpool men synd att gymmet låg i samma rum (det blev väldigt varmt).

Ett otroligt snyggt hotell med perfekt läge i lugnt och tyst område men nära till tunnelbana och tåg. 5 min från centrala Barcelona. Kommer definitivt bo här igen. Lite dyrt i restaurangen, vilket gjorde att vi tyvärr bara åt en gång på hotellet. Mycket god mat.

Hôtel très moderne et belle décoration design. Chambre impeccable et très bien insonorisée. Un peu loin du centre et petit déjeûner assez cher.
