Hotel Villa Fiorita - Sorrento

We found everything about this hotel to very very good. Would definately stay there again. Staff was very helpfull and spoke good English. If you are a large person, you may not fit in the shower. We had a car but a local bus stops at the front if you do not have one. Great view.

This is one of the best view hotels in Sorrento ---- but it is far out of town. If you arrive by train, do not fear to take a SITA bus for only 2 Euros, as it has a stop right in front of the hotel, and it also has baggage bins below the bus body. Cab will cost you 30-40 Euros! Also plan on taking the same bus to and from town freely.

The hotel staff could have been friendlier. The rooms and food are ok. This hotel is set above Sorrento and probably has the best views accross Sorrento, Naples bay, & Mount Vesuvius. This is a good base to relax at and to explore from. We would stay here again. We would recomend this hotel to couples and families. We would not recomend this hotel to to groups looking to rave it up! The only drag was having to catch the bus to go anywhere we would not want to drive here and taxis are expensive.

Stayed at Hotel Villa Fiorita in May 2008 with my boyfriend. Had a great time but there are some things that guests should be aware of: - the hotel is nowhere near the centre of Sorrento, which is fine if you hire a car (if you like windy Italian drives!) but otherwise you will have to rely on public transport to get around - you can buy bus tickets from the hotel reception - lovely breakfast but dinner was a bit hit and miss and so you may want to eat your evening meals in Sorrento. Otherwise a very pleasant hotel with a nice pool!

beautiful views from balcony. nice helpful manager. good breakfasts and dinners. Room clean and adequate. Not 5 star but good value for the price. Hotel was hard to find originally. It's not in town so it's not near other services like restaurants. otherwise nice experience. highlight were the views from our own balcony.

Plumbing in room needs work. Toilet did not flush completely and gurgled along with the sink every time people in room next to us flushed.

Although it was further out than expected it was beatiful - the staff were fantastic and very helpful/friendly. The view from every angle were lovely! and the coffee!!!!! well what more can i say?? out of this world thanks to all who made our short stay so relaxing xx

Great Rooms, great price. The only drawback is the transportation. If you don't catch the bus, it's a 30 euro cab ride. Otherwise if you plan your transportation, the views from the hotel are spectacular, and the breakfast is pretty good too.

Giovanni, the concierge/manager?, was the friendliest person that we met during our week in Italy. He is attentive, genuine, and very helpful (and speaks English, if you were wondering). My wife and I spent two nights at the hotel, and were happy with our stay; however, we suggest bringing earplugs because the roosters and dogs in the area start up at around 4am. We had a room without a balcony, but two large windows offered a great view of Sorrento. I believe that there were rooms on the other side of the hotel with no view at all, so be aware of that. The pool was clean, but chilly. There are no services nearby, and the hotel is located on the side of the mountain, along with many other hotels in the area. The way into town is SITA bus, taxi, or rental car...but don't drive!!! When we arrived, we took the SITA bus from the Circumvesuviana train station to the hotel; which runs every 30 minutes (or so they say, not our experience). You can buy your ticket for 5 euros for 24 hours at the bus stop (the only option available to tourists). I tried to buy a 1 euro one-way ticket from the vendor, but he said that was only available to locals (nice way to make you feel welcome). The buses are very crowded, and the drivers are not very helpful. Most of the tourists speak English, so ask them how to navigate the SITA network. The bus does drop off in front of the hotel, but you must call for the stop: this is very difficult at night on the dark and winding road, and also when the call buttons on the bus don't function!! Don't assume that the driver will stop when you tell them where you are staying, either: at least in our case, this did not work. We just wanted to add this as a primer for the SITA system. Know where you need to stop, and you'll be fine...it just takes a couple of days to get used to. Oh yeah, one more thing...there is a significant break in bus service from 8:50am til 10:20am from the hotel area. We missed the 8:50am bus, so had to wait

I can't say enought great things about this hotel. We stayed in Sorrento at the advice of others during a trip to visit Pompeii. The hotel itself is beautiful, the views are fantastic and the staff were more than accomodating and friendly. We arrived in the evening at almost 9pm. We hadn't eaten dinner and the dining room was supposed to close at 9pm. The consierge prepared a table for us while we settled in our room and got cleaned up. Dinner was great. Only two words of advice: 1- the hotel is on top of a hill and it cost us Eur35 ($50) to get there by taxi. You can take a bus but we couldn't figure out where to find the bus that late at night. (the consierge directed to where we could catch the bus on the way down for Eur1 per person) and 2- the bathrooms are typical, small European bathrooms. The bathroom contained a toilet, bidet, and a shower stall that was a tight fit for an average sized person.

Very relaxing hotel with fantastic view of Vesuvio and the Sorrento Bay. The pool is great and the walk to a fantastic restaurant down the mountain side makes it even greater. The drive to Sorrento is only 8-10 minutes by car and a public bus runs frequently too

Hotellets personal var mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående. Hotellet har gratis privatparkering över natten. Underbar utsikt över Sorrento bukten. Frukosten var mycket god. Utöver det erbjuder de även olika utflykter till tex Capri, Amalfi m.m. Bra utbud. Enda lilla minuset är att poolen stänger redan kl. 17 ca, så att man inte kan ta ett kvällsdopp. Annars var allt tipp topp!

Første håndsindtrykket virket hotellet personligt og hyggeligt indtil dagen efter, hvor man vågner op til et personale (består af familiemedlemmer), som knap nok kan smile til en. Den intense stemning imellem dem kan man mærke og det er bestemt ikke det, man ønsker, når man er på ferie og betalt for at bo der. Det skulle have været et Bed&Breakfast i stedet for et 3* hotel. Men hotellet ligger op ad bjergene, som er lidt langt væk fra centrum og bussen holder op med at køre efter midnat, så er taxa den eneste mulighed, hvis man er ude til sent i Sorrento. Det koster ca 25 Euro med taxa fra byen af. For de ekstra penge er det hele værd at betale for havudsigten, med udsigt til swimmingpool, byen og havet. Men det vægter ikke mere end det servicen fra personalet udleverer. Så jeg vil vælge et andet hotel næste gang jeg er i Sorrento.

Excellent accueil du personnel belle chambre (vue sur mer). Petit déjeuner parfait. Parking pris en charge par l'hotel (très appréciable en Italie). Bus devant l'hotel pour relier Sorrento.

Accueil extrêmement chaleureux et serviable. Situation exceptionnelle. Demander une chambre avec vue mer...Vous ne serez pas déçus en descendant à l'hôtel Villa Fiorita.

Het hotel is goed gelegen en het uizicht is echt super. Je zou zo meerdere dagen alleen op het hotel door kunnen brengen, maar de omgeving is ook erg mooi. Ik had niet verwacht dat het zo toeristisch zou zijn, maar daar merk je in het hotel weinig van (lekker rustig). Het eten (ook 's avonds is er restaurant) is erg goed en betaalbaar. Je hoeft niet teveel gangen te bestellen, want je krijgt meer dan genoeg op je bord.

Het hotel ligt zeer hoog in de bergen en daardoor is er een schitterend uitzicht over de baai van Naples. Niet alle kamers hebben een balkon, houd hier rekening mee met boeken. De kamers zonder balkon zijn stukken minder maar ook goedkoper. Het hotel is per bus te bereiken; zelf hadden we een huurauto. De hotelbaas verleent zelf een gratis parkeerservice die erg makkelijk en handig is. Hotel is ideaal als uitvalbasis voor de ontdekking van de omgeving van de baai van Napels en de Amalfi Coast met een huurauto. Met name het zwembad is erg lekker. Dit hotel is door de trappen niet erg geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn
