I went to Boston to see the Sox play. This hotel is much like a European pension. The room was clean and somewhat spartan. The staff was friendly and the neighborhood nice--brown stones all around. I just slept and had breakfast there--did not spend much down time in the hotel. Again, no frills and nothing fancy, but a good clean place to stay if you want to avoid the high dollar places.

This was a cute little European style hotel in an amazing location within walking distance from shopping, historical sites, and Fenway park. It wasn't overly fancy, but it was perfect for what we needed which was accessibility and price.

We stayed here as we were going to a game at Fenway. The location was perfect as we could walk there in about 10 mins. or less.

The hotel was clean and secure in a nice brownstone neighborhood within a nice walk to Fenway Park and lots of nice shopping, restaurants and a T subway stop. The staff was very helpful with directions to the hotel, to shops, restaurants and historical sites. The room was very comfortable and clean. A nice find and a definite return destination.

Though the staff was especially courteous, the real surprise and pleasure was the quality of the clientelle. With these tiny rooms so close together, it really matters that people are mindful of the privacy and sleep needs of others, and we were amazed that both elder guests and young students spoke in hushed tones in the hallways and were polite and cheerful at the breakfast spread. A lovely place to stay!

Staff was friendly, great location and price is hard to beat! Wish the restroom was a little bigger, but overall very satisfied.

Stayed at Oasis Guest House for an event at Fenway Park. Very convient to Fenway as well as access to the "T" Heinz Convention Center on Green Line. Nothing Fancy but perfect for the casual traveler. Clean and Comfortable. Kind staff to introduce you and show you to your room.

An excellent bed-and-breakfast, better located for cultural rather than historical excursions. Staff is very friendly and supportive.

Nothing to complain about! They delivered on everything they advertised. 1. staff were friendly and helpful. They responded to requests to turn up the heat. they gave detailed directions on food options and destination for next day. 2. The room was very clean and smelled very nice. While everything was clean, one of the towels had a hole in it. The shower was fine for me but would be too small for a large person. 3. The internet actually worked and was free! as i was there on business i needed to stay connected and it was fast access too. 4. The continental breakfast was plentiful and several options were provided. Nothing complicated or too rich which the kind i have at home. 5. access to sitting room and kitchen throughout the day. You arent forced to spend time in bedroom. there are magzines, newspapers in the sitting room. I came back with colleagues and we had brought dessert; it was very convenient to have access to plates, forks..etc. It was also great to have access to fridge, water..etc. 6. there was a homey feel too the place. I like saying good-morning to other in the sitting room and striking up conversations. you cant achieve that in a large impersonal hotel.

Good location, more of a "B & B" style venue, clean but sparse rooms, parking garages near, limited on street parking, nice people both guests and staff.

The Oasis Guesthouse is friendly, fabulously located in Back Bay/Fenway, clean, and reasonably priced. It is not luxuriously decked out, the room was small and the bathroom tiny, but the cheery helpfulness of its great staff was four star.

The windows in my room let in every noise from the street. I could easily hear people talking on the street 2 floors below, and cars repeatedly woke me up at night.

We couldn't have been happier about the Oasis. The staff was super-friendly, the location was amazing (walking distance to Fenway Park, the Back Bay Fens, Berklee, Whole Foods ...), the neighborhood was wonderful and the room was great for the money! We would definitely stay there again.

After reading some of the reviews at this site, I wasn't expecting to find much of a place. What a surprise. I stayed in the Adams House on the third floor. When they saw that I was 60+, they carried the bags up the narrow steps. It would have been hard for me. They also brought them down. We agreed to find a lower floor for my next stay. The breakfast was good and they had a frig that you could put things in. I bought berries and yogurt from the Whole Foods that was a block away and stored them. I was there to visit the MFA and thought the location couldn't have been better. It is also close to Newberry St. and Fenway Park. I thought that the room was big enough. I do think that the chair provided could have been made more comfortable. There was also a nice balcony for those who needed more space than their room had. I was traveling alone, so I was fine. Great price for clean, friendly accomodations. I'll be back.

I would have preferred an elevator up the steep stairs to 207, but this old house didn't allow such, so I accepted that. The bed, however - the queen bed mattress -was lumpy and hard. There was no place on it I could find a comfortable place to sleep (I considered moving to the floor!) so I woke each morning feeling more tired than when I went to bed. If it is replaced with a comfortable mattress, I would give the Adams (the part I was in)a 5 on all except the last item, which I might drop to a 4. For the money, compared to the nearby hotels, the Oasis/Adams is a good value.

We just loved our stay at the Oasis Guest House! Great location and the owners are incredibly hospitable. The bed isn't the most comfortable thing in the world and the decor is a bit tacky, but our stay really was wonderful for the price.

The subway and bus stops were within just a couple of blocks and within easy walking distance to shopping and eateries.

I liked the Oasis Guest Houes very much. Boston is my favorite city for walking, and the location just off Massachusetts Ave in the Back Bay was ideal. It is easy walking ditance from Fenway Park, the symphony hall and a number of other fine music venues, and the Museaum of Fine Arts, as well as being convenient to the "T". The guest house itself was well-appointed, clean and reasonably priced; I found the proprietor to be very accommodating and helpful. My only criticism is that I found the room to be a bit small, but I became accustomed to it quickly. I will definitely return.

Resembles as hostel in Europe. Very small room. Not very convenient office, but does have wireless internet (on the slow side) and is relatively cheap price. Cheap being in refernce to other hotels in the surrounring area but expensive for the rest of the country.

the college is near by so students were yelling well in to the early morning every night. room was clean, staff no help at all. one step above hostel.

Sehr sauberes, fast familiär geführtes Guest House, verkehrsgünstig 5 min von der Hynes-Subway-Station (und dem nächsten Whole Foods-Supermarkt ;-)) gelegen. Die Zimmer sind teilweise etwas klein, aber dafür gibt es gemütliche Wohnzimmer mit Küche, in denen man sich entpannen und andere Gäste treffen kann. Sehr zu empfehlen!
