Radisson Edwardian Manchester - Manchester

Had a romantic weekend here at the begining of October, wasn't too impressed by the hotel. Stayed at the Hilton earlier in the year and expected the same level of comfort here! Not a patch on the Hilton.

The hotel's location is just opposite Manchester Central, and very convenient for city and train stations. Wonderful hotel, excellent throughout and enjoyed stay. Wireless internet connection throughout, and was free!

We stayed here for one night on the bank holiday weekend after getting a very good deal from Hotels.com. I have to say that we chose this hotel based on both the price and the rating it has on Tripadvisor. It is a very well placed hotel, central to everything and so all the main attractions are within walking distance. There is also a car park very close by which is relatively stress free. The hotel itself is very well run and the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by the concierge who told us exactly what to do, as we were checking in a little early. The whole hotel is very stylishly furnished and is nice without being too over the top. The room itself was a good size with everything you could want. Mini bar, Bang & Olufsen tv, pretty good hairdryer and a great bathroom. We were on the top floor (14) and the view was amazing, even from the bathroom (if you leave the door open;). My only gripe is that the air conditioning unit must be located on the top of the hotel, above the 14th floor and so this was a little noisy in the night but the bed was so comfy that we went out like lights. All in all a fantastic hotel and we would definitely recommend this to anyone.

When you are able to secure a great rate, one is always cautious of the quality of the hotel. However, I couldn't be any more pleased. The rooms are contemporary in design and well-appointed. The staff were most helpful and friendly. I would definitely return

We stayed in the manchester radisson hotel for our anniversary. Staff were lovely, rooms were great, breakfast was amazing, enjoyed our stay. Stayed in the Birmingham Radisson weekend before, just as good.

Had a really good time here, Manshester is a great city! Was a bit expensive to valet park as no on site parking, the concierge will park your car at a nearby NCP overnight for just over £17, or valet for £30. However, we parked right out side the hotel on the on street parking for £4.40 and Sunday was free. That way, checking out is a breeze as your car is there. If you want to use the pool after check out, you have to go get a locker card first from downstairs by signing in as a resident (because techinically you are) then go check out. This is perfectly legitimate too as we were told this by the staff, other wise you have to pay £6 for non resident lockers. Great time, great restuarant, had to wait ages at the bar mind you and then pay 10% service for chamgapne but for the quality of the hotel, it was worth it! WILL BE BACK SOON!

On arrival staff were very friendly. Reception staff when leaving not so much. We had a 'deluxe' room. Not obvious what difference there was. Room was small enough. Bottles for shampoo etc were attached to the wall and had faded labels. Room was not clean - glass doors and the toilet were dirty. Carpets in the hotel corridors and the couches in reception were also filthy. Hotel has a good location in the centre of Manchester.

lovely hotel situated in the old free trade hall. Fantastic location for enjoying the best of manchester . shops restaurants, nightlife. Staff friendly and helpful. Main issues- need to be informed of valet parking in advance otherwise you have to go park in ncp five mins walk away. Also some lower floors are overlooked by other rooms so not so private best request a city view on fourteenth floor!

Staff very courteous and helpful, Room well kitted out with excellent bathroom including walk in shower - A feature I wish every hotel had! Hotel is very near city centre with plenty of shopping nearby and also plenty of choice for good restaurants and night-life. Hotel also has an excellent spa, which I can only find fault with the jacuzzi which seemed to have too much chemicals in the water as it made me cough whilst in it. Overall an excellent hotel which I cant recommend enough.

Can find nothing bad to say about this hotel. The room was luxurious, the staff cou;dn't do enough to help. The weather was glorious so we really appreciated the air conditioining in the room. Location was ideal. Sorry - cant find any faults at all. Would strongly recommend. I didnt find the prices in the hotel over expense either which I was expecting for a 5* hotel.

A good hotel with splendid central address

Staff exceptionally helpful and polite, really close to Deansgate, lovely decor inside, nice bar & spa. Room not that big for a 5 star hotel, but I suppose very central location and a really great stay, would recommend to anyone for a treat.

Stayed here for the second time in two weeks. Fist trip was for business but was so impressed I booked in again with my wife as the perfect location to get the best of Manchester. (We own an apartment here , but the kids have taken it over ) The weekend visit was for my sons 21st so a bit of pampering was necessay.

Very impressive from the outside - less so from the inside. Very nice overall, but the room was slightly small for a 5 star hotel. Also found the room aircon noisy and if there are functions in the suites on the fourth floor can be noisy. Probably ok if you are not on the fourth floor! If you are arriving by car the main entrance is on a one-way street difficult to find if you are not aware of it. Staff very nice, breakfast great, Alto bar/restaurant also very good with great cocktails.

Thoroughly enjoyed two stays at the Edwardian Manchester. Spacious, well appointed room. Clean. Excellent service. Great location. All at a great price through hotels.com.

I was charged twice for the breakfast. When I noticed the mistake I explained it at the reception desk and got... charged again. Happens, however I have not heard any appologies, and that's poor. Otherwise very good hotel.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone on Business or leisure. The room was perfectly clean, everything i needed (iron, kettle etc) was all included, very spacious and comfortable. The spa area was amazing, very modern, clean and relaxing.

Stayed for just one night as we were going to the MEN, staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, rooms were very clean and comfortable, overall a lovely night away.

This hotel is spotlessly clean, and excellently maintained. The staff are courteous to a fault. The food in the restaurants is lovely. The concierge service is reasonably helpful, but get small details wrong.

Beautiful hotel, perfect service, food at Opus One was amazing and the spa was wonderful. Very much enjoyed our romantic stay here.

The hotel was the icing on our stay in Manchester.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. We had problems with noise from the plumbing so had to change rooms at 12.00 AM. Breakfast was dissapointing, not all fruit was ripe and no prunes!

I only have a few very very minor criticisms of my stay here. 1. The in room tea and coffee is a bit down market, and there is no free water 2. the TV is a little small, has poor reception and could do with more channels, 3. if you want to make use of the spa then book in advance. Otherwise an excellent hotel with very polite and accomodation staff . I would certainly stay there again

Excellent hotel,well located and with very good staff. Room ,as with everything else,was very good indeed. Have seen some reviews which criticise the rooms on size;they have a point,but it is a minor crib-as is the fact that the washhand basin is outside the bath/toilet area (to give an impression of size I suspect). Other minor crib is that the breakfast area is a bit cramped.But would definitely stay again.

Top Quality, staff were brilliant, highly recommended, find no fault whatsoever with this hotel.....

Check-in was polite and efficient. The room (standard deluxe) was a clean and pleasant place if a little on the small side, with no space for a couch or proper armchairs: the king bed was comfortable but dominated the room. The bathroom is a wet room, with a fantastic shower, but some minor drainage issues meant a persistent puddle on the floor after use. Annoying when not using the shower or bath! The TV (B&O) was antiquated and kept switching off, and there was no sound system - one could access the hotel radio via the tv, but it's not much good if it keeps switching off! The gym is well equipped and the spa well appointed, with sauna, steam room, cold showers, jacuzzi and pool (sadly offline when we stayed). This is a comfortable hotel with truly excellent service and good facilities. Will go back.

Overall, the service was excellent and the hotel was superbly presented. The small fault was at check in where our welcome was confused and brusque. This copntrasted with everything which followed which was excellent.

Great location, and staff are very friendly and knowledgable about local restaurants, etc. We even got a discount card to eat at a great place! The room was immaculate, very comfortable. The bathroom's wetroom concept took a little getting used to, but was ok. The only complaint was that I asked for a wake up call which never occurred! Luckily, I set my mobile.

only stayed 1 day but was very impressed with both the staff and the hotel . Basic bedroom was very comfortable and modern and service from all staff was top class .

Clean,professional, nice hotel. Would use again in manchester if using train/tram (nr st.peter's square tram stop) but would think twice if using car - roads very awkward around hotel.

hotel drinks far to expensive unnecessary waste of money dont mind paying for room but feel like just getting ripped off for drinks. I would think hard about staying again

My stay was with a friend whose birthday we were celebrating and the hotel was perfect. It's well placed for shopping and going out in the evening. What I really loved however was the design of the room, it had been really well thought out and added the touch of luxury we needed. And without the price tag you would expect. I only paid a little bit more that I would for a run of the mill hotel thanks to hotel.com.

We had a great stay at this hotel the staff were very good nothing was to much troble. the sandwiches in the bar were excellent. Are breakfast had penty of choice but the food was not very warm.

Helpful staff, good rooms, informative

On arrival the hotel staff were eager to put us at ease with their pleasant attitude and courtious respect.We will return at sometime in the future, we love the city of Manchester and have stayed at various hotels with this one ranking with the best that we have stayed at.

Once again another great stay. Comfortable and easy room, great distance from the centre, shopping and food. Tried the breakfast this time round and it was very impressive, everything kept coming out fresh. Will now use this hotel every time I stay in Manchester.

The hotel is quite central and you don't even have to get a taxi to the shops etc as there is a free bus which picks up opposite the hotel. The de luxe room was excellent. Nice comfy beds, luxurious bathroom with wet room type shower, air conditioning, television, small fridge with mini bar and coffee and tea making facilities. Reception rang to see if everything was OK and to say just to ring if we required anything, which I thought was a nice touch. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent with a vast choice from the hot buffet , also fruit, cereal, juices, croissants etc as well. Didn't get chance to check out the Spa but will on my next visit. Overall 10 out of 10.

Everything about the hotel screams style and elegance. I had forgotten how much I have missed these things until I stayed at the Edwardian. I cannot wait for an excuse to return.

This fabulous five star hotel boasts a lovely room with a fantastic city view of Manchester, comfotable beds, modern decor, complimentary internet access, mini bar, great air conditioning and heating in the room and brilliant (affordable) room service. You can check in early and you are immediately approached by helpful staff, overall a lovely stay! I would strongly recommend having room service breakfast!

This hotel is in a great position and the rooms are modern with a cozy feel. The saff are very helpful and friendly

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were helpful from the word go and when we arrived it was rather busy. The shops are within walking distance - from normal high street stores to more expensive designer shops. My husband went to watch Manchester United in the afternoon so I took advantage of the shops nearby and used the spa (I had booked at treatment before I arrived). The service was excellent in both the sienna spa and within the hotel. I stayed in the Mountbatten in London in December and the Manchester was immeasurably better. The breakfast was a relaxing change with a good variety of choice available. I will definately use this hotel again - it was lively but sofisticated, and it was clear that both the young and old were welcome (unlike the Mountbatten which was stuffy and had its self opinionated - this includes the staff - and the rooms were TINY).

Absolutely shocked that the cooked breakfast was stone cold. Not what you would expect for the price paid.

Very nice place. Would happily go there again. Oh, and Sven drinks in the bar!
