This hotel is within feet of the Kendall/MIT red line stop. It was very easy to get there from the airport and to get on the T from there. The room was clean and very comfortable. It looked modern/like it had been recently updated. They held our bags (without charge) the day we checked out, while we were sight seeing. I would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous downtown location, right across from T station, easy access to red line and all over town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very pleasant experience. Would highly recomend this hotel to any guests visiting Boston.

Our family found the hotel to be very nice and the staff was pleasant and helpful. It was perfectly located to a "T" station. We parked the car with the valet and didn't need to drive until it was time to leave. However, our GPS put us on the wrong side of the hotel, it was a little tricky, if you need valet parking you have to be on the Broadway Street side.

Great hotel! Practically on top of its own subway--or "T" to use the local parlance--station. Staying at this hotel makes it possible to use public transport for your entire visit. Also, if you happen to be visiting for July 4, the fireworks on the Charles River are happening right in front of your window (at least this is what happened for us). We had the best seat in the house!

Very Friendly staff. The usual check-in time is 4:00 PM, they allowed us to check in to the room early (7:00 AM) when I called and told them that we were coming in from California for a graduation ceremony and had to shower before getting there. This was a great help to us. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are ok with the slightly high price tag. (When I went it was graduation week for both Harvard and MIT)

The staff was extremely cordial and helpful when I had inquiries. Starbucks in the building, Legal Seafoods down the street, and the metro station adjacent to the hotel . . . what more could you ask for!!! The room and amenities were the utmost in comfort. I will definitely stay there again and recommend the Marriott Cambridge to others.

This was our second recent stay. We had booked 2 double beds, but could only get a bed and a pull-out, which was disappointing but I'm guessing the fine print @ Hotels.com allows for this. Pool is decent, very convenient to the subway, and food court at street level is convenient. There ain't much else within walking distance to the hotel, but once you're on the T you can get pretty much to anything you want in short order. View of the river is preferable to the back side of hotel - worth booking that if you can.

This hotel was definitely well worth the money spent. The beds were extremely comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Mark, the concierge, knew a lot about the area and made us a reservation at a great Italian restaurant off the main streets--in Italian even! The hotel is right next to the Kendell Station on the T-red line so I would recommend taking public transportation from the airport or around the city. It will definitely save you money, since cabs are really expensive and most of them don't accept credit cards. My only complaint would be the elevators on the day of check-out, which was a weekend day. There are 26 floors and, with everyone trying to check out/get to breakfast/etc... the elevators were really slow.

Overall a fine hotel, however, the elevator service was unsatisfactory, as only one of four was functioning on our Sat. to Sun. stay and the waits were excessive. Also, they should make the $30 valet parking fee per night crystal clear. We would have stayed at another if we had known.

Located just feet from the Kendall/MIT stop on the T, this hotel is easily accessible from downtown Boston and Logan Airport. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The one minor disappointment was the lack of a complementary continental breakfast.

The Marriott Cambridge offers the most convienient location in Boston that isn't exactly in Boston. With a great view of the city just the other side of the Longfellow Bridge, you couldn't get a better room closer to Beacon Hill or Downtown Crossing (5 minutes by train right outside the hotel lobby) for a comparable price. The only downside, as with all city hotels, parking is not included in the room rate and is $26.00 per night. Perhaps they could have an add-on rate so guests aren't surprised by the parking rates.

The hotel is next to the subway station and MIT. It is well maintained. MC2 restaurant provides good food and service. Starbucks, hotel rstaurant and surrounding eateries were not open late. Maid left used dust rags in room. On morning of checkout, Hotel staff knocked on room doors at 7:30am and slipped a bill and newspaper under the door. Checkout time was 11am.

The room was great with an outstanding view over the Charles River toward Boston. Very comfortable. You have the choice of the hotel restaurants, or an adjacent food court if you want to hurry or save some cash. Pool/spa/exercise center is nice. We parked in public garage next door for $23/night. Had intended to move over to the hotel valet parking ($30/n with in and out privelege), but with the T station right in front of the hotel, we never ended up moving the car once we arrived. Will definitely go back.

I greatly appreciated the advice the hotel staff gave me on taking the "T" to reach my various destinations, including the airport! It meant a GREAT DEAL to me as someone who is generally intimidated by mass transit.

Stayed for 3 nights - great location on the subway - very clean - friendly staff - wonderful river view - did not eat at hotel restaurant, but did visit their sports bar, Characters, several times - very helpful staff, and reasonable meal prices. As with al well located Boston hotels, it was not cheap, but we would stay there again.

What a wonderful stay we had. The T station is right across the street, so we were able to hop on and go to downtown Boston, so easy. The hotel itself was extremely clean, our room was upgraded to a suite when we checked in, and the price was wonderful compared to hotels in Boston. The staff was wonderful. We had a view of the Charles and the city skyline. We went to a Red Sox game in the afternoon of check out and they let us keep our bags there after check-out. We will definitely stay there again next year.

I love Boston and you couldn't find a better place to stay than this hotel! Right outside the rear exit door is the Kendall/MIT "T" station. How convenient is that? The Cambridge Marriott staff was very courteous and the concierge recommended a restaurant in the North End that was awesome! This is tough with two 16 year-old girls in tow! We didn't have a chance to visit the restaurants or the pool but I would definitely stay here again. Since I visit Boston often, that will be soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Cambridge. The hotel was very nice and everyone was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. We had easy access to the subway and bus, with stops right outside the hotel. It only took a few minutes to get downtown Boston or to Harvard University. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I booked this room with a friend for a wedding since the "official" wedding hotel had prices that seemed way too high. The service was great - the wedding started at 4:30pm and since that conflicted with check-in time, the hotel was very nice about checking us in early so we could get ready. Additionally, we had beautiful views of the Charles River! The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved the layout - sink/vanity separate from the toilet and shower. Sunday morning we received the full Boston Globe to read for free. It was a fast cab ride from South Station and to Harvard Square - had the subway been running properly it was also right next to a stop.

I had to clean the air handler filter before the air conditioner worked. Most of the elevators weren't working when it was time to check out. It took forever for a non jam packed elevator to reach our floor.

We stayed 2 nights at the Marriott in Cambridge. This was our first trip to Boston so we weren't sure about the location but the T (Boston's Subway system) was literally outside the hotel door. In the lobby there is a Starbucks which is very convenient. Also, the hotel has a bar/restaurant named Characters. Usual bar fare nothing fancy but pretty good after a day of sight seeing. We also got some room service which was very good. The hotel is located right near MIT. During the week there is a "food court" that is opened which is very convenient. You can find pizza, sushi, bagels, etc there. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. I had some questions about getting to downtown Boston and they were very helpful in telling me exactly which train to take. Provided map and all. I would highly recommend this hotel and we're hoping to return to Boston so we will definetely be staying here again. We were traveling with our kids which range in age from 20-7 years of age and they were all pleased.

Spent one night here during a quick vacation with the family. The room was nice. A little small, but comfy and nice view. The indoor pool was great. Everyone at the hotel was helpful and friendly. T-station right outside the door, which was very convenient. Thought the parking fee was high at first, but then parked at the NE Aquarium for 1/5 the time, but nearly 150% the cost. So in retrospect, it wasn't bad. I would certainly stay here again.
