Todos los hoteles en Gran Vía - Puerta del Sol"The room for 3 persons is the attic"
Comentado por Lynn, deChicago, el ago 24, 2009
Most of the staff are unfriendly, the 3 person room is in an attic with no window, only 2 skylights that we couln't use because the sun was too hot. The ceiling is painted black as well, and the silly bath is entirely see thru!(NO PRIVACY) Consider this a place to shower and sleep only and you'll do just fine. The only plus is the PERFECT location. Close to everything and right in the action of Madrid.

Pros: Location right in the heart of the sites. Safe, we were 4 college students felt very safe. Staff was great. Cons: Didn't receive free tickets to Thyssen Museum or free breakfast which were both advertised on the site.

All in all, we were pleased with the hotel. It is in an excellent location-- it's right down the street from a metro station and it's within walking distance of important sites such as the Plaza Mayor, the Puerta del Sol, and the Royal Palace. There are lots of places to eat and shop very close to the hotel. The room was a lot smaller than the pictures shwon on the internet, the bed was bit hard and uncomfortable, but the bathroom was big and we were able to manage okay with the bed. The room was quiet, but housekeeping parked their cart right outside of our door at 8:30 A.M., making it difficult to sleep with the noise they were making. The staff was friendly enough and were very helpful with giving us directions. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend it to anyone planning to stay in Madrid.

The location of this hotel was amazing . . . right in the heart of the shopping district too. They had free computer and internet access, the rooms were very modern and clean, but if you are sharing a room, you better be good friends with that person because the bathroom doors are glass. Although the hotel was very modern, the front office staff were not helpful with any information you needed. Would still stay at this hotel again.

The Petit Palace Arenal is centrally located on a pedestrian mall in the heart of Madrid. It was right down the street from a metro station that made getting around the city a breeze. The hotel itself is a little run-down looking. When I entered my room there was a funny smell that I still cannot place. I thought it was because that there had been no A/C on for awhile, but after an hour it was still present. I resorted to opening a window to try to air the room out. Eventually, I either got used to the smell or it went away. The bathroom had peeling wallpaper and a cracked sink. This small, funny smelling room was over-priced. But, I'm sure I was paying for location and that made up for alot. And, I most likely would stay there again.

The location is right in the middle of the historic district and the staff was very helpful. The computer in the room was a nice touch since we didn't bring our own laptop.

Hotel is in a good, safe, convenient location near metro stations and plaza mayor. There is minimal staff and room size is small, but the stay for us was about being in the center of Madrid for a respectable price. Room noise wasnt really any issue for us... stayed out past 2am both nights.

My husband and I stayed at the Petit Palace Madrid for four nights and my daughters for two nights. The location is superb and although the hotel does not own parking space there is a public one a block away, so it was really convenient. The rooms are newly renovated and the rooms and hotel are very nice and clean. The only drawback is the door of the rooms bathroom: it is a glass door, with the "Hightech" hotels logo in the middle... it is really awkward to be in the bathroom with a semi-transparent glass door that does not close well around and that is very see-through !! Besides the next door bathroom was next to ours and the insulation was bad... just figure it out.

The hotel is in great condition and is in the centre of Madrid - just a minutes walk from Sol. The rooms have all been updated recently so are in great condition. One weird thing about the hotel room is that the wall and door of the bathroom are made of frosted glass - its a bit strange and you'd want to know your roommates pretty well. The hotel has a left luggage facility which is handy if you're leaving late in the afternoon.

sobre value="10""Good overall experience but not perfect"
Comentado por Ron, deSt. Louis, el sep 25, 2008
The property is ideally located near the Plaza Mayor, Plaza del Sol, and the Red Line Metro. It is on a pedestrian walk street and is truly a great central location. The hotel has been recently renovated and is above average overall for a 3 star property. However: there is a HUGE difference in actual rooms. Ours was a "executive/computer" room and was excellent. Lots of space, in room computer with free Internet, etc. etc. Friends of ours had a room so small they had to share walking around the bed. They moved out. Also, the hotel is directly across from the # 1 club in Madrid...which opens at midnight and closes at dawn. Therefore, while a small balcony room seems nice, the noise factor is quite high from midnight to 6 A.M. Request interior/rear if you want to sleep soundly all night. The buffet breakfast at 12 Euro is , at best, OK, - and there are 2 cafes including a Starbucks, within 1/2 block for morning coffee/breakfast. Vast array of bars, shops, and restaurants within a 2 to 3 block radius, including all of Plaza Mayor. The staff was efficient and just OK on the friendliness meter. Caution: there are about 10 HiTech Petit Palace hotels within a 3 mile radius so proceed cautiously to find the best one for your needs..... Overall, we would most probably stay at a Petit Palace very near this one, but try to avoid the noise factor. The location is a massive asset to this hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. The hotel is an excellent location very close to many restaurants and local bars. The room was very clean and was very quiet at night. Only real negative point was that I was expecting breakfast in the morning, and there was none.

facendo un rapporto qualità prezzo ritengo che l'hotel in questione meriti un buono quasi pieno.
