Hotel Dali - Palma de Mallorca

A little bit more sophisticated than the usual Spanish coastal hotel. Was fairly quiet when we were there - even at the height of the UK holiday season (last two weeks in July '09). Felt like we had the (huge!) pool to ourselves.The pool itself offered plenty of shade with palm trees, and other nearby plants and 'shrubbery' gave the area a bit of an oasis of green - a relief from being in a pretty built-up zone. The hotel is great for those who want to avoid the hustle/bustle of Palma Nova and Magaluf. Conversely, probably not enough to do in the hotel and nearby for families with entertainment hungry kids or teenagers. Nearest supermarket we could find for poolside snacks and drinks was a good ten minutes walk away, although the hotel offered these at 'hotel prices'! A very nice beach was also about a ten minutes walk away. Palma city being a quick/cheap No.3 bus journey. To sum up - great for up to a week or so if you just want a quiet base to come back to after a day exploring the island. Probably wouldn't suit those who want loads of entertainment 'on campus'. We loved it!

We stayed at the Hotel Dali for 4 nights and had 3 different rooms, i travel alot although this is my first time to spain (prefer things a little quieter!) and to be honest ive never complained about a hotel or anything really before whilst on my travels. However on this occasion i i felt like i had little choice!. Our first room hadnt been cleaned.......for a while!, dirty floors very dated bathroom and something nasty in the toilet bin that i wouldnt like to comment on. However being British we put up with it until the second night when a cockroach on steroids paid us a visit in the night along with his buddies, the last straw for my wife so first thing in the morning we packed up and trudged off with all our bags to a new room only to discover it only had 2 beds instead of the required 3! Off we trudged again with all our bags to our third room and although the toilet didnt work and you had to take off the lid to pull the chain we decided that we would make the best of it as we figured it wouldnt probably get any better!!! The staff however were quite friendly the pool was clean and quiet ....... and i cant really think of much else nice to say...sorry!! Overall a bit dirty , the food was at best interesting(never seen green eggs before) and it was a little too far away from the centre of palma (not walking distance unless your paula radcliffe). On the plus side however the pool was o.k and.....quite clean. Ill stick to Italy in future!

God frokost med mye variasjon. Rent og pent i vestibylen og restaurant. Hyggelig personell og god service. Ligger mellom Palma by og Palma Nova beach så du rekker både handling og strand på samme dag. 10 min med drosje i begge retninger.

Med gangavstand til stranden, og kort vei til Palma sentrum var dette en fin base for oppholdet vårt. Hotellet var nok litt slitt utvendig, og frokostsalen kunne kanskje vært bedre, men rommet var greit, og vi var ikke plaget av støy på natten.

Bra standard på det mesta. Överaskande bra frukost. Fint poolområde. Nära till buss.
