The Iron Gate Hotel and Suites - Praga

Very nice hotel situated on a quiet street which is only a couple of minutes walk from the Old Town sqaure. Staff are extremely helpful and the hotel is a great base to see Prague from.

We had a wonderful stay here! The hotel was in a great location and was just off the main road so it was also very quiet. The hotels staff was very helpful and friendly. My only recommendation would be to request a room with elevator access if you have problems with stairs. Our room was on the 4th floor and the elevator did not go all the way to the 4th floor. We always took the stairs and we were exhausted by the time we got to our room (this really is not a complaint, just something that guests should be aware of).

Very convenient to town square. A challenge to drive into hotel but can be done. Make sure you get directions from the hotel in advance. Great staff and lovely, large rooms.

A small hotel in a great location with a relaxing atmosphere. Rooms were great, although noise from the next room was heard very easily. Use the discount coupon for the hotel restaurant. Although pricey, small a la carte portions, and in the basement, the food was outstanding. The hotel service was incredible. We never used the rental vehicle, so the parking situation (off hotel premises) was not a problem. Definatly would stay again and again!

We stayed five days/nights at this lovely hotel. Everything were brillliant: the service, the room itself, the bathroom, the location, etc. The breakfast was a little disappointing, not due to the quality of the products themselves but because very hungry guests had plundred the breakfast table three of the five days.

This hotel is worth a visit. Service was excellent and the location was perfect, so central to all attractions. The room was clean and whilst the bathroom was a little small, it was not such an issue because everything else was spot on. Breakfast was fairly simple, but again not an issue. Staff very friendly and helpful, with extensive knowledge of the area that they are willing to share. Would recommend this hotel and will return there if we go back to prague.

We stayed at The Iron Gate on our weekend getaway to Prague. The location was perfect - just a 2 minute walk to the Old Square, but still very quiet. The service was impeccable and the room was huge and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!

If you are looking for a great location, on a quiet street, one block from the town square, this is the place. Clean, quaint, very caring personnel. Always willing to help. I will be back. You can walk to everything, the metro is very close.

And a good hotel too. It is a pricey place but with a reduction it is good value. The staff were courteous and helpful as you would expect. When we raised a few issues with the room they dealt with them immediately. Location was good and once the geography of the old town was sorted easy to find. I recommend this hotel as a treat.

Very close to the Astronomical clock (5 minutes) and in the heart of Old Town Prague. I would definitely stay there again

This hotel was in the center of everything. In a building from 1273. The staff spoke great English arranged for cars, tours, and handled my lost luggage. I would definitely recommend it, and stay again. Quite and beautiful.

Accueil et service de qualité.Au centre de la vielle ville, à deux pas de la célèbre place, dans un quartier très calme. Sa situation centrale est stratégique pour visiter cette ville où tout peut se faire à pied. Petit déjeuner buffet de bonne qualité. J'y retournerai avec plaisir.

Et kjempeflott hotell i en rolig gate,5 min. fra den Astronomiske klokken. Store rom og bad.Betjeningen er meget vennlig og serviceinnstilt. God frokost . Et flott hotell som vi absolutt vil anbefale.

Sentralt hotell, 1 min å gå til Gamlebytorget. Rent, veldig fint rom, hygg folk i resepsjon. Anbefales!

Flott beliggenhet i hjertet av Praha. Ypperlig service og komfortabel suite gjør at vi gjerne drar tilbake. Frokosten kunne dog vært hakket bedre til å være 5 stjerners hotell.

Trivsamt hotell med, i svenska ögon, överskattad standard. 5 stjärnor står det men i våra ögon är det en svag 4:a. Det som definitivt gör Iron Gate till ett hotell att rekommendera är läget. 2 minuter från astronomiska uret, 5 minuter från Karls bron gör att du inte gärna kan önska mer. Personalen är servicevänlig men alla behärskar inte engelskan på en nivå vi är vana vid

Et hotell som sto til forventningene vi hadde før vi dro. Et flott stort rom med 2 bad noe som var helt perfekt med en tenåring i reisefølget. Personalet var meget hyggelig og hjelpsomme til alle tider på døgnet, snakket meget bra engelsk. Maten i restaurantene var bra og prisene hyggelige etter norske lommebøker. Ligger meget sentralt til og lett å finne frem.

Alt var som det skulle være. Vi ble møtt med et smil, fikk sjekke inn på hotellet 4 timer før vi egentlig skulle. En ansatt bar koffertene våre til rommet. Uansett hva vi lurte på var de behjelpelige med gode svar. Flinke i engelsk. De har også fått ny restaurant på hotellet, moderne og stilig. Maten var utsøkt. Beste måltidet jeg hadde i praha! Må prøves! Hadde et fantastisk opphold i Praha!

Et godt hotel, meget centralt beliggende. Serviceniveauet stræber efter at leve op til de fem stjerner, men er på nogle områder lettere misforstået. Værelserne ikke alle steder (især badeværelserne) udført med håndværksmæssig elegance. (Eksempelvis ingen ståhøjde under bruseren). Royal Suite med to ens badeværelser tilfører ikke værelset en "merværdi". Restauranten (i gårdhaven) er ikke konkurrencedygtig med de omkringliggende restauranter. Små portioner, ikke imponerende kogekunst. Ved ankomst fik vi en voucher til hotellets restaurant, men denne kunne ikke anvendes i gårdhaverestauranten, kun i den nyåbnede restaurant i kælderen! Tjeneren kendte i øvrigt ikke rigtig noget til en sådan voucher. Lidt kedelig morgenmadsbuffet. Parkeringsservice virker ok, men er dyr (30 euro/dag). Et godt hotel til prisen, men hvis man er ude efter "ægte" hotelluksus og -service, skal man nok en klasse eller to op.

Max sentralt beliggende, god service, hyggelig betjening, ok frokost, store, fine rom (vårt hadde litt mørke farger), rent og pent over alt.

Bra hotell med mycket bra service. Vi kände oss välkomna och servicen höll samma goda nivå under hela vistelsen. Innergården är väldigt mysig och vi fick ett stort rum med fantastiska takmålningar i. Närhet till många attraktioner i Prag.

Albergo in zona ottima per visita alla città vacchia. 2 min dall'orologio astronomico e piazza vecchia, un pò più lontano il castello, 30 min. Zona tranquilla, pedonale, ricca di ristoranti e negozi. Ottime le stanze, la colazione curata ed abbondante ma da un 5 stelle ci si può aspettare qualcosa in più. Desk impeccabile anche se non parla italiano.

The hotel can be rated as a good 4 star but not 5 star hotel. As such and keeping in mind the low salaries paid in Czech Republic the room prices are too high. The staff is friendly. At 10.30 p.m. the restaurants were already closed and breakfast is being served only from 07.30h. Besides these facts I enjoyed my stay.
