Hotel Eurostars Sablon - Bruselas

We stayed in a double room and found the staff knowledgeable and the welcome pleasant. The decor in our room was in shades of olive green and brown, and whilst not in the highest level of condition was perfectly adequate for a short break. We suggested that Wi-Fi would have been an enhancement but as we were only there for 2 nights it was not a major issue for us. We would stay there again, as the location is good if you want to stay in an elegant part of town but still fairly close to the Grand Place.

My room was too warm when I arrived, even though the outside temperature was close to freezing. The sole front desk attendant was unable to figure out why the room was so warm. I was told the the maintenance person would be unavailable until the next morning. Luckily, I was given a choice to move to another room. This new room was at an acceptable temperature, but it was a smoking roon with dirty carpet on the floor. However, I took it because I could sleep without sweating. Other than that, the hotel's location is excellent. It is am OK hotel but did not meet my expectation of a 4-star hotel.

We were looking for a cheap hotel close to the centre of Brussels, and expected the usual box room with a small bathroom attached. What we got was more like a suite on two levels with a large bathroom, TV/relaxing area, desk and storage area and a bedroom with king size bed - for the same as you would pay for one of the UK's cheap chain hotels. You even get a choice of pillows to suit your needs. There is parking nearby at the InterParking Albertine for €14.30 per 24 hr (Feb 2009) and the hotel is just a minute's walk from that. Just a ten minute walk to the city centre and Grand Place. If we come back to Brussels, we'll stay here again.

First, there's no hotel parking. You have to park on the street. My room temperature was 25c (77f) on my arrival, due to faulty heating. Receptionist unable to call a technician until next day, by which time I would be gone. I had to take a smoker's room and sleep in the stench of cigarettes from previous customers. No concessions, just a verbal apology. Not good enough.

Hotel price and location were very good. Positioned in downtown Brussels very close to the metro Central Station. Easy walk to attractions such as Grand Place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wireless internet connection was very good. Very helpful for me as I had a business meeting in the hotel and its wireless abilities were critical to the meeting.

A three star hotel that exceeded my expectations after staying in some two star hotels. I had a double room to myself. The room was very spacious with a table and chairs, two balcony type doors for windows. The toilet with washbasin was separate to the bathroom which also had a washbasin. Three sockets for recharging anything. There was also a trouser press, hairdryer and a minibar(very expensive). Soap and towels changed daily. Staff were polite and helpful and spoke English. The hotel is in a quiet area about ten minutes walk to the Grand Place, which has a multitude of eating places leading off in all directions. I did not eat in the hotel.

Great hotel with a nice location, walking distance from the Grand Place and other key locations. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitly a steal when it came to price, quality and location!

Lage, Zimmer und Personal sehr angenehm! Getrübt wurde der Aufenthalt allerdings durch die nicht funktionierende Aircondition und den Lärm der Entlüftungsanlage des gegenüberliegenden königlichen Archivs!

Trevligt, centralt och rent hotell. Dock bör hotellet se över sin aircondition. Sov i två rum på nerresan samt på hemresan. Båda hade klimatanläggningar som brummade och lät, men inte förändrade någonting vad gällde temperaturen.

Le personnel d'accueil n'est pas du tout agréable. On a vraiment l'impression de les déranger. Dans la chambre, le lit double est en réalité deux lits simples accolés, il faut donc se contenter d'un lit simple.

Grandes chambres à des prix modiques, petit déjeuner bien servi jusque tard, Spa, Sauna, accueil sympathique. Le tout à 25 metres de la place du Grand Sablon ? Parfait.

Avec les 60 % de réduction, cet hotel a un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Il est surtout très bien placé, dans le quartier des Sablon à 10mn à pied de la grande place. Propre et spacieux, avec une excellente literie. Heureusement que la rue était calme, car l'isolation des fenetres étaient déplorables avec 1cm de jour, pour un 4 étoiles, ça fait tâche...!!! Donc si nous y retournons, on réservera coté cours, ou coté rénové avec les fenetres en PVC.
