For the record, we are demanding, obnoxious American tourists. But there is nothing bad I can say about this hotel. Amazing location right in front of the cathedral and Alcazar. Walking distance to EME, an amazing rooftop lounge. Walking distance to the bars by the river. Walking distance to the flamenco shows. Taxi stand only one block away. A five minute walk to the shopping district. A 2 minute walk to the old town (Santa Cruz). Will only stay here or Fashion Hotel when in Seville.

All the way through our stay at the Doña Maria, the staff could not do more to help when it was needed. From arriving early for check in, when they took our luggage and reccommended an excellent, cheap little tapas bar around the corner to pass the 45 minutes they would take to prepare the room, to providing a plug adaptor at 2am as my camera lost all juice just before a big day of sightseeing! The room we had was large, the beds (twin) were large and very comfortable, the air conditioning sufficient to make the room feel cool, and the bathroom was also of a very good standard. The undoubted crowning glory for the hotel, however, is the rooftop swimming pool. Though small, it is worth the money alone in the summer months...we had many a jealous look from the Giralda tower whilst we cooled down in the pool. A little tip though - go to the local supermarket and bring up your own chilled beer. No-one seems to mind and it means you avoid the very high prices of the rooftop bar. Incidentally, the views of the Giralda at night are stunning. Location-wise, it is right in the heart of Santa Cruz, quite literally a stones-throw from the cathedral and Giralda tower. It does not come any better. We enjoyed an excellent, relaxing stay and would thoroughly recommend the Doña Maria to anyone.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Dona Maria and both times have been outstanding. The location is amazing and the terrace is an incredible view. Beautiful room and nice staff too. A++++

The hotel is in an amazing location, right beside the cathedral. Everything is within walking distance from here. The hotel is clean and the staff helpful and friendly. However, the rooms are quite basic. I think it is slightly over-priced but you are paying for the best location in the city. During the summer, a swimming pool is a must in Seville as it gets so hot. I'd stay here again.

I've lived in Sevilla for two years and this hotel beats any others my friends and family have stayed at. Other 3 stars have been the same price as this and not near the quality and value. The rooftop view of the cathedral is actually one of the hightlighted tourist spots in the city and must be seen! I'm staying here again for sure and would recommend it strongly to anyone else.

This was our second stay in the Dona Maria and so I have mixed feelings. On our first trip, we stayed in a lovely light room with a view of the Giralda (cathedral). This time, we were hugely disappointed (having requested the same room in advance) to be given a small, dark room on the other side of the hallway, with a view into someone else's hotel room. What a let down. We quickly returned to reception to enquire about our booking and our request for the other room. The man at reception was the grumpiest, rudest receptionist I have ever come across. Customer Service is not a word in his dictionary and he should not be working in the hotel industry - he is bad for the reputation of the Dona Maria. Having been sent back to our room, the remainder of our stay was pleasant bar the horribly uncomfortable bed (way too soft) and the hammering sounds from the room upstairs which seemed to be undergoing some refurb. Good points - our room had a new bathroom which was lovely. The hotel has a rooftop pool with beautiful views. The location is second to none. Bad points: The man at reception. The beds. The noise of the refurb.

Great location, wonderful little roof top pool and bar

I selected the Dona Maria Hotel based on a recommendation from the Travel Channel. It is located in the center of everything the only problem is that they small street in front of the Hotel. Other than that, I found the Hotel to be worth the value.

Hotel was in center of plaza. Literally 60 seconf walk to Cathedral and La Giralda. Helpful staff

We stayed in Hotel Dona Maria for 3 nights, the last of which was Palm Sunday. The hotel is located right across from Seville's main cathedral, and our room had a balcony with a view across the square to the cathedral. We could see the holy week processions emerging from the cathedral on Sunday afternoon and evening. The location could not have been better, and the room was excellent. The staff was also very helpful.

this small hotel is just steps from the cathedral and historic district in Seville. So tapes hopping every evining is such fun. Staff helped us find a great place in Granada. Has a roof top pool and bar with great views. Rooms are small and a bit disappointing, but location makes up for this.

It is located in a place with a very convenient access to many famous sightseeing places. However, access to the hotel from train station was not easy, particularly by public transportation.

Albergo posto in una posizione ideale per chi vuole visitare la città, è proprio al centro a due passi dalla cattedrale. Le camere sono spaziose e pulite: il personale ospitale. Da consigliare !!!

albergo centralissimo ai monumenti più importanti,servizi ottimi, gentilissimi e disponibili, vicino a bar, ristoranti,taxi, vista della cattedrale unica , il personale è ottimo e gentile ,la sala della colazione è molto romantica, direi qualità prezzo perfetto se torno a siviglia vorrei alloggiare di nuovo qui
