El mosaico de diminutas calles de empedrado alberga numerosos bares, buenos restaurantes y vibrantes locales de copas. También hay un tesoro oculto de iglesias medievales. Todos los hoteles en Trastevere"Very convenient for Trastevere and tram into central Rome"
Comentado por J, deDublin, el sep 15, 2009
Spent 3 days in Trilussa recently and its was clean and comfy, and very conveniently located for Trastevere and getting the #8 tram into central Rome, the tram even ran until 03.00-04.00 on weekends. I wouldn't normally use public tranport so much but its cheap (€4/day) and trams come every few minutes. You can also get busses to Testaccio and other sites. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Rome.

the staff could not have been more helpful or friendlier, the neighborhood was a perfect if you are looking for a more local rather than touristy experience, and the nearby trattorias and bars were great, fun and reasonable! frequent trams/buses made getting to the center of rome a piece of cake. furthermore, it was centrally located to numerous sites around rome. thank you trilussa palace hotel!

We stayed four nights at the Trilussa Palace in late July 2009. The room was small (by U.S. standards) but clean and comfortable (not so small that you bump into things, and not small by European standards). Great bed and no room noise. Great internet connection in room and downstairs, both at very good rates. The A/C worked very well, which is a big plus over the summer. The bathroom was tight, but had a nice shower unit with a built-in shower massage chair. The fitness area was small but everything worked (an elliptical machine would have been a nice upgrade). The rooftop lounge was very pleasant (we had drinks, not dinner, but the food looked good as well). The neighborhood, Trastevere, is authentic and much less touristy than being in central Rome. Great restaurants near the hotel; go to one of the side streets for a more relaxing meal. One big recommendation - you don't realize how convenient the hotel is to the main tourist sites until you get on the tram or bus line. The northernmost tram stop (5 - 10 minutes travel time from front door of hotel) is a 1 - 10 minute walk from seemingly everything. Overall, we highly recommend the Trilussa.

Comentado por M, deDublin, Ireland, el jun 2, 2009
Very good base for visiting Rome. Clean, comfortable with very friendly staff. Immediate area hasn't much to offer as mainly residential but five minutes away are the amazing backstreets of Trastevere. Real Rome and not the tourist trap of city centre. Prices far better round here as well. Hotel's roof garden offers great views of city at night but menu up there is very limited. Better to have lunch at hotel on arrival (very impressive food) and catch dinner elsewhere. Walked into town a couple of times - about 50 minutes to Spanish Steps. Rooms are average size but bathrooms, while narrow, are very clean and there's a great multi-spray shower, though again I suspect it's not ideal for the "larger" guests. Overall a great place to stay in Rome and we'll return there again. Trastevere is a lovely area that reflects real Rome and where a fantastic dinner for four can cost €120, while in the tourist traps in the city you will pay €140 for a couple of pizzas and a half bottle of wine.

We had been traveling in Italy for two weeks. Our final stay was at the Trilussa Palace in Rome. Because of the reviews I had read prior to leaving there were no surprises. The hotel is not in the central tourist area (which is what we wanted). It is one easy tram ride to most major spots. We did not realize that this area is the best dining area in Rome. After long days site seeing we were only 5 minutes from outstanding restaurants. I big plus since we were traveling with our two daughters, 8 and 10. We enjoyed the gym and the spa facilities. I had a "jetlag" massage that was out of this world. We rented the bath area for a few hours and we all were able to unwind. Breakfast was excellent. We left Rome for home feeling rather relaxed and refreshed. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are a family traveling together.

This hotel is located right in front of the train and bus stops which makes it very easy to get out the door and moving quickly. While some reviews may say this place 'needs attention' - I have been to several hotels in Italy and most of them do, so don't let those reviews deter you from this place. The staff was friendly, the rooms comfy and the breakfast was the best buffet I've had in Italy that included giant fresh mozzarella balls, several pastries, cheeses, meats, cereal, eggs, bacon, juices, cafe machine, etc.

We stayed 4 nights at the this hotel. Room was the size of a closet, no place to lie suitcase other than on floor causing us to step over suitcases with every move. No dresser for placement of personal clothes. Bathroom had no shelf for personal hygenic items but the shower was the worst: a prefab the size of a coffin with a nozzle like a garden sprayer. WE hated looking forward to a shower. When we approached the front desk, were told to fork up huge additional euro's per night [ equal to 1 1/2 nights further costs] for the next size room! Two bedroom lights did not work and despite our request to fix, no one came in the 4 days. I recommend looking elsewhere.

As first time travelers to Rome we were a bit worried about booking a hotel, however we lucked out with this one! The hotel was beautiful with a friendly knowledgeable staff that spoke English and was always available to help us navigate the city. The #8 train stops right in-front of the hotel and connects you quickly to the heart of Rome where all the attractions are. The location of the hotel, in the Trastevere neighborhood, is a great way to experience life like a local( three stops using the #8 train towards "Argentine" for great restaurants). The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. The roof terrace is a great way to unwind after a long day of touring and offers an excellent view of the city. An excellent hotel choice that we highly recommend.

I thought this hotel did not live up to the description on the website. Our room was really small for a family of four. I think they only accommodated us because they wanted the business. The hotel was a very long walk to the sites of Rome. I also think they tried to add things so that it appeared nicer than it really was. The shower is a good example -- it was cheap version of a massage shower with music and other bells and whistles. It didn't work well and it was so small that you couldn't turn around in it. The room was cramped and the bed was uncomfortable. There were flies and ants in the lobby. Also the staff said that they would make a dinner reservation for me at a restaurant that I requested, but they never got around to making the call and tried to refer me to some other 'fancy' restaurant. I missed my opportunity to eat a fabulous fish restaurant. I think the restaurants and hotels have mutually beneficial arrangements with each other. Overall, I was very unimpressed and thought it wasn't worth the price.

This is a lovely facility and the staff is wonderful. I was not aware that there would be no dressers in the rooms, only closets, and that the bathrooms are not equipped with tubs, only showers. We were also disappointed that the restaurant was only open for breakfast (which was nicely provided as compliments of the house). We needed to take transportation away from the facility to eat meals other than breakfast. I would recommend this facility for its efficiency and staff but would have liked the above information to better prepare me for my trip.

The hotel was lovely. The front desk staff was very helpful. The only problem we experienced was that in addition to my husband and myself, our 16 1/2 year old daughter accompanied us. We thouroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this charming hotel. The only downside was the on site restaurant and garden were being remodeled while we were there so we were not able to take advantage of the beautiful view across the lagoon to St. Mark's square. The hotel is located right next to the public Vaperetto(water bus) stope as well as a water taxi station. The island of Lido is much more laid back and residential than on Venice. If you get a chance to stay here while in Venice you should.

The staff at this hotel speaks English and are extremely helpful and courteous. This hotel is also close to the tram stop for added convenience to central Rome. On the minus side our hotel room was extremely warm even with the a/c cranking the whole time. We advised the staff and they sent someone to take a look, but it was never fixed. Also the shower situation was strange to say the least. The shower comprised of a very small plastic tubular unit (almost space like), which was very difficult to take a shower in because you cannot move around or lift your arm. Overall I feel that the four star rating for this hotel is too high and that the price we paid was too much.

My wife and I spent 5 days in Rome for the first time. I was worried about the other comments people were saying about this hotel being too far out of the main sites but we loved it. The bus and train are a piece of cake and they will tell you exactly which ones to take. We also walked three times from the Forum ruins as well as to the Vadican city... 45 min senic walk. The greatest thing is that the restaurants in this area are AWESOME and we would for sure stay here again!!! We were getting full coarse meals and wine for like 15-20 Euros. Breakfast buffet was great! There are also some great little shops in the area. This hotel is a little out of the way but also being out of the downtown craziness is the best option in Rome. If you are traveling for the first time in Rome... stay here... spend the money and have them pick you up at the airport... take an overview tour... and then hit the town... worth it.

For European statndards, the hotel was a very pleasant place to stay. It is located in a great area of Rome, walking distance to a number of delicious restaurants. Ask where Callisto Piza is and you will be very satisfied by some of the largest and most delicious pizza, down the street from the hotel. The showers are like fully functioning spas. They have probably 12 jets/shower heads and even has a radio and steamroom feature. The hotel provides breakfast for guests and was easily accessible to public transportation (there is a trolley that picks passengers up right in front of the hotel) The hotel is not close to major sites, but the public transportation gets you whhere you want to be.
