Elba Almeria Hotel - Almeria

The Elba Almeria is comfortable, clean and has good service. The room had double beds, a large TV, a fridge (which didn't seem very cold), and a lovely bathtub/shower. The AC didn't work very well, however, and there were times when I sat in the room sweating, even with it on. The hotel is far from the center of town, which means you have to walk (more than 30 min) or take a bus (convenient, .95 euros) downtown. This is difficult at night, as it is hard to find a taxi to return. Across the street from the hotel is a large mall with a grocery store and shops. The restaurant at the hotel is expensive for lunch and dinner, but has a 6 euro buffet breakfast (cheeses, yogurt, tortilla espanola, bread, croissants, ham, fruit, coffee, fresh orange juice) that is delicious and a steal! Many rooms seemed to come with the breakfast included...

A wonderful hotel. Nothing can be faulted. Near to the airport which is 0.90 euros on a local bus which stops 15 mins walk from the hotel. The taxi fare is 11 euros and takes approx 15-20 mins. The city centre and beach are within walking distance. The hotel is directly opposite a large shopping mall with shops and reasonably priced eateries. All hotel staff very friendly and helpful. They all spoke good English. Dinner at the hotel costs more than the local eateries, however, well worth trying at least once. The continental breakfast is also recommended. There are hotels situated much nearer to the city centre but I would doubt whether any of them could rival the Elba for quality, comfort and price. I am already planned a return trip in September 2008.

Otel merkezin biraz disinda, arabayla 10 dakika, otobusle de ulasilabiliyor. Temiz, rahat bir 4 yildizli otel. Dekorasyonu, odalari oldukca siradan olmakla birlikte paramin karsiligini aldim diyebilirim. Ozel gunler, kutlamalar vs icin cok uygun degil, is oteli ya da oylesine bir iki gece gecerken ugramisken kalmak icin ideal.
