my self and my partener stayed there bank holliday weekend the staff were so friendly on arrival, we got checked in straight away. we were so pleased with the room. it was modern well pressented and spotless. we later went toth hotel restaurant where we were greeted by some of the best staff we have met and the food was excellent. it is without doubt a place we will return to in the future as it is not often that you get the service that we got there. i read reviews from others who have stayed there good and bad but to be honest the people who found this place a bad experience were being picky. excellent all round.

This is a luxurious hotel which we would never have stayed in had it not had an excellent weekend deal. The rooms were lovely with high ceilings. At first they showed me to a twin room when I had booked a double; when I called reception and pointed out the mistake I was immediately upgraded to a lovely room at the back of the hotel, overlooking a stream (it is near the park that surrounds the castle), and with a king bed. But the BEST thing about this hotel is the swimming pool and spa area. The pool is huge for an hotel, in a lovely space with natural light. It is used as a private gym so is well kept up. The size of it is such that even though there was a hen party (or similar) there one lunchtime it wasn't a bother. Highly recommended just for that reason. Oh yes and the bar is fun and all that sort of thing. The hotel is situated in a truly vile bit of Cardiff where you will find girls with their heads in the gutter and their spike heels sticking in the air by 9pm. The boys go round in groups of 25 all wearing identical shirts from Burtons. But inside the hotel all is calm and quiet (at the back anyway). The staff are extremely cheery and helpful.

Was really nice however I asked for a wake up call at 0930hrs and the phone never rang so missed out on breakfast. Room service slow and the showerhead sprayed as much up as it did down. Really nice rooms though.

not much to look from the outside as we arrived but as soon as we were inside it was all very relaxed the staff were extremely helpful and the whole hotel run so smoothly and made you feel very relaxed plus the quality of the restaurant was excellent - the bar was very busy in the evening very trendy but did not interfere with the rest of the hotel so would definitely stay there again if we were in cardiff.

The hotel is ideally situated for central Cardiff and is in easy access of just about everything. It has top of the range facilities ad the rooms whilst being comfortable, clean and luxurious, were are of a good size too. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel and staff were very accommodating. My 16 month old son loved our room, as did we. Used the baby sitting service, it was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

second visit to Cardiff and this hotel, excellent all round. the staff were polite, attentive, friendly without being intrusive. room wonderful, restaurant very good. will stay here agin too. parking across the street is handy, our room on the back looked out to trees, some siren noise (emergency services) otherwise quiet.

This is a lovely boutique hotel and a nice change from the run of the mill hotels. I stay here on business and leisure when in Cardiff. The rooms are large and most are furnished differently. The service is friendly, efficient and personal. Much nicer to stay here than the larger hotels.

Very convenient location near the shopping centre, castle, galleries and restaurants. Staff were friendly, helpful and presented excellent service. Fantastic to have free wi-fi access. The best part was that we felt refreshed after relaxing in luxury!

Les chambres sont assez fidèles aux photos et aux descriptions faites. Chambre bien confortable avec des équipements assez modernes, luxueuse salle de bain. les couloirs sont assez exigus même si les chambres sont assez grandes. Propreté irréprochable, le ménage est assuré quotidiennement. Cependant l'utilisation de certains services comme chaîne de tv et frigo sont payants. De même beaucoup de services sont à disposition dans le centre de remise en forme mais restent payant hormis le jaccuzi, la piscine couverte et la salle de sport ! Certains meubles sont plus vieux que d'autres...Très bonne localisation également par rapport au coeur du centre ville (finalement cardiff n'est pas bien grand) à la fois pas loin des commerces, restaurants et magasins pour le shopping et du parc ainsi que du chateau. Hotel bien déservit car les bus passent juste en bas de l'hotel. Cependant ma chambre donnait sur la rue remplit de pub et de bar et le samedi soir, il a été assez difficile de dormir à cause du bruit, même si les vitrages étaient sensés être isolants! Sinon le personnel est friendly comme on dit :)
