Great hotel for anyone doing business along the south bank of the Thames River. Otherwise, keep looking--you will find a better location. Good service and an excellent business center open till 11 PM, seven days a week. Business center staff was helpful and competant. Good mini bar and an all-night room service menu. Room is big by English standards. You will either get a room with a spectacular view of the River Thames or an ugly view of the building across the alley. Good breakfast buffet--very reasonably priced by English standards. Decent upscale restaurant in the lobby. Closest tube station is the Vauxhall Station (about 1/4 mile west of the hotel) on the Victoria Line. You are only a few tube stops from Green Park, Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus. The tube is definitely the way to get from this hotel to the heart of London. Again, great bang for your buck, but if your business meetings are in north or central London, you will find yourself too far for comfort. If you are a tourist, you will find yourself too far from the action.

Hotel staff was Ok not very cheerful. The room size was fabalous for the price we paid..free wi-fi internet, so bring your laptop. Convenience store right next door to purchase water..etc... Location to the sites are a little far, if you don't mind walking it's ok. closest tube was Westminster but it was closed. Do your research all tubes R not always open...buses run until 4am they run all day use them, instead of taxis if you can...Exchange your cash, Euro etc.. in the city and not in the airport you get a better rate. Enjoy LOndon

Stayed only one night for a wedding, but had a very enjoyable experience. The view immediately out front of the hotel is not great, but the quality of the hotel is something else. Lots of attention to detail, pleasant staff, great bar, luxurious room, and convenient location (for Westminster or Waterloo, from which the West End is only a hop, skip and jump away).

Comentado por J, deWrexham North Wales, el jul 14, 2009
The hotel itself is located about 15 mins walk from the London Eye which is perfect as it was one of our destinations. The hotel itself was modern and had a good atmosphere with plenty of staff on the reception and check in areas. Car parking could not be easier as we could pull up to the front of the hotel and unload our luggage. The car then was taken to the off site but very close secure parking place by a member of staff, which again was good. The cost was £26.00 for the weekend. But note that it is first come first served regarding parking as they have a limited number of spaces. We where also able to check in a couple of hours earlier as well which again after a longish journey is always a welcome. The rooms themselves where very good, very clean with everything you would expect including a secure safe. The hotel was quiet even though it is on a main road with railway lines at the rear of the building. We where offered a upgrade which was declined and then paid £10 for breakfast each which was very good as you could eat as much as you liked. A full english breakfast was included along with the usual cereals and fruit etc for the more health conscious.

This hotel was situated in a good place and it was easy to get everywhere. Although I had booked a twin room and when I got there I was told there were none available which vexed me, the staff were very accomodating and upgraded me to a suite! The staff are very friendly, the rooms are very nice and the beds comfortable. My only fault would be the room service as it was lukewarm and average tasting. But I would certainly go there again.

Stayed here one night only after driving from Fishguard, must say it will be our last, had a room overlooking train tracks, very noisy, asked to be moved to another room and were waiting half an hour for someone to change us. new room smelled of stale smoke, cleaner woke us up at eight am knocking on the door and entering our room. Room service poor. parking very expensive, not a nice experience

Booked a double room, but rooms are allocated on arrival and we were offered a twin on 3rd floor or a double on 9th floor which was right at the back of the hotel with no good views. Paid £45 to upgrade to executive double room on 6th Floor with view of Thames, Big Ben & London eye. Room was lovely, nice modern decor, very clean couldn't get enough of the view- stunning!- glad we upgraded. Air con didn't work though and window was locked. Called reception, they told us the system was on 'winter' mode so the air con couldn't be switched on, said they would send someone to open the window, an hour later no one had come had to call again, 15 minutes later finally someone came to open the window. Didn't speak to one English member of staff, most from Eastern Europe. Lady in the breakfast room, was very nice and helpful. Had to queue for breakfast (included in executive room upgrade) but it was very good and nice and hot. Room upgrades also include a later checkout of 1pm (subject to availability), complimentary drinks and snacks in the bar-between certain times (we missed this as had to go to a show), dressing gowns & slippers. Ice machine on every floor was handy. Great location 10-15 minutes walk to London Eye & Big Ben. Good overall with fab views ,would return.

This was a very nice hotel for the price we paid. We stayed over a weekend and the rates on the weekend seemed to be quite a bit less than weekdays. Overall condition of the hotel is very nice with all the modern amenities and conveniences you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Only drawback was it is a bit of a walk from any major tube (subway) station or major tourist attraction. Not that it can't be walked (we did it several times) but it is just not right in the heart of the tourist area. But that also probably kept it a bit quieter and more reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is a great quality hotel in a good location and I'd recommend it, particularly as I got such a great deal through this site. Watch-outs are: - desk staff/concierge area staff vary in customer service - some are not particularly welcoming and you need to work to get them to respond pleasantly and helpfully - the tube is a brisk 8-10 minute walk away, great in summer but less than great during the colder and wet months

Stayed between Christmas & New Year, so the rate was very good avoiding the key night (Christmas Day/New Years Eve etc). The location was pretty reasonable in the re-developing Vauxhall area south of the river. Short walk (8-10 mins) to nearest underground (Vauxhall). Plaeseant walk toward West End/London Eye via the riverside path. Hotel bar area very good and relaxing, rooms well appointed and modern (pretty spacious too for London) - good amenities generally and we cannot fault staff attitude or attentiveness, though we didn't need to interact too much. Didn't have breakfast in hotel, went for cheaper option of local cafe and found one just behind Vauxhall station on Kennington Lane (called Kennington Lane Cafe) - nice food, great value, very clean and the owners particuarly pleasant - would recommend. All in all, don't be put off thinking this hotel is too far from the city centre/attractions - the quality and price is an easy compensate.

Booked for my 40th Birthday and all was smooth until we were told our room wasn't quite ready. We had already received a kind upgrade and chmpagne for my birthday and the staff were very apologetic for the oversight........we were given some complimentary drinks and nibbles in the lovely, vibrant bar but were told 30 minutes later that the room was still unready ! Despite being messed about somewhat, the level of service was very good and we were delighted to then be upgraded to a river-view suite which was fantastic ! Things do go wrong and sometimes rooms aren't ready but I cannot fault the level of personal service afforded to me and my fiancee, making my 40th a memorable one.......... ..........for the walkers among you, turn right out of the front of the hotel and wander along the river to take in the sights, bars and restaurants around. London eye, Tate Modern, London Bridge experience are all within a short walk.

This was our favorite hotel from our entire 7 week stay all around Europe. The hotel is walking distance from the London Eye! The room, was amazing!!! Though we were on the side of the train track, it was not loud to the point we had a hard time to sleep. You could request to be roomed not towards the train track. The room service was amazing, the front desk was spectacular. They even looked up and printed maps, hours to things that we wanted to go to. Park Plaza was also the only hotel we went into that had all of the electronic plugs (U.S., U.K., European) so, no converters are needed for this hotel! It was PERFECT! Seriously, I'm going to look for Park Plaza Hotels wherever I travel now!

An interesting find just off the 'tourist track' in London but good value for money. The standard room was clean and well furnished with quality fittings and the bathroom was spacious and well-appointed. The deep bath was a bonus as was the large shower. A bit disappointed there was no view of the river from our room but am sure that would be rewarding. Well-serviced by two bus lines and the railway station, it was not difficult to find and was only a short trip to the West End. Although the hotel seemed a bit remote from London's nightlife, the local bars and restaurant came alive later in the evening.

i booked this hotel for a weekend at the end of June 2008 via Hotels.com. I was impressed by what other reviewers had written, and this helped me choose this hotel. The price I paid was typically what I would expect to pay for a room, but what we got was a suite! Separate double bedroom, lounge with pull-out bed, and bathroom with a bath AND an enclosed shower. I've already told friends to use this place on visits to london, and would happily recommend to anyone contemplating a visit to London. Oh, for a right good egg-chips-beans-sausage style breakfast, walk round onto Kennington Lane and try Tom's Parma cafe. Brilliant!

On arrival there were quite a few people waiting to book in and we had to queue. However there were at least 6 counter staff all working efficiently to minimise the waiting time. We found the staff we did come in contact with to be very pleasant and keen to assist. The hotel is well positioned for Victoria Station, Vauxhall Underground and within walking distance of many attractions. The rooms are well decorated and even although we faced the back of the hotel and did hear the trains a little they did not affect our sleep and did not bother us. We would return.

London eye and Royal Festival Hall with it's eateries, etc are a mile walk. I didn't quite know what to expect for the price that was quoted but for a hotel that was receiving a guest rating of five on a scale of one to five, I was willing to give it a try. This hotel is a nice hotel for the price. It is between the Vauxhall and Waterloo tube stations. The Vauxhall station is closed for upgrading right now and Waterloo is about a 10 or 15 minute walk. Not bad if you aren't dragging suitcases. I'd recommend a taxi from the station to the hotel if one has bags. The Waterloo Station is also a National Rail Service Station which makes it especially convenient. The room service menu is varied and not too expensive.......a nice treat for those of us from the USA dealing with a dreadful exchange rate.
