AC Coslada - Madrid

"Complimentary" internet was not complimentary, extremely hard to find, not a good night, hotels.com review was deceiving.

The hotel itself is actually very nice with a modern twist. However there are two big drawbacks: 1) It is located in a business park secluded away from everything. There is nothing around. You must take a very expensive Taxi to get anywhere. 2) Despite this being an airport hotel only a fraction of a mile away, there is no shuttle. Hotels.com does not tell you this. I was in transit from Seville to return to the States and only needed the room for 12 hours. Naturally, I looked for a good price which I seemed to have gotten as the price was reasonable by European standards. However, Madrid apparently has some type of surcharge to make up the loss of a long haul into the city for the taxi drivers. 30 Euros each way for the short trip to the hotel. So much for my low priced hotel!!

This is not a good place to stay if you want easy access to the airport. We arrived from the airport and taxis wouldn't take us as the fare is not enough to justify their wait in the queue. Since we weren't rushing, we used the bus to Coslada and then got a 'local' taxi to the hotel which cost 15 Euros. The driver didn't know where the hotel was so went round in circles for a bit before I spotted it down a blocked off street. If you then want to get into Madrid that involves a walk for about 10-15 minutes through a pretty dodgy part of an industrial suburb (not recommended for women on their own at night) to San Fernando station. The train service is pretty frequent and costs about 2.30 Euros return. The taxi from the hotel to the airport took about 10 minutes and cost 15 Euros. The hotel itself is well furnished and quite 'trendy' in its design (our room had a glass sink for example!), the staff were helpful and friendly too. However, the area is a dump (waste ground yet to be developed/lots of grafitti/litter etc), poorly connected via public transport and taxis don't know where it is! I strongly recommend you look for a better option.

the only reason we booked this hotel was to stay close to the airport and get a shuttle to the airport the night before we left madrid. turns out the shuttle doesn't operate on weekends and holidays - something i don't recall reading on the site when i booked this place. we ended up paying over 32 euros to get to and forth from the airport.

We liked the decor very much. We picked this hotel because of the closeness to Madrid's Airport, but were pleasently surprised by the rooms comfort and ammenities. Th mini bar had water and soda stocked free of charge. The bathroom was vey classy including the solid clear glass sink. Beds were comfy also. Turning the lights on were tricky. You have to put your key card into a slot to turn on the power to the room. The Hotel is not located by any nightlife, so you would have to drive about 15 minutes into Madrid, but they do have a Resturant with room service right in the Hotel.

Hotel was difficult to find and further from the airport than was indicated in description on website. Shuttle service to the airport was excellent. Rooms was small but well furnished. Dining room was pricey with not a lot of choice for late night dining.

The hotel, by itself, was amazing...the bathrooms and rooms are very contemporary and look awesome, but the hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere. It is not near any metro or train stops. The surrounding neighborhood seemed dangerous to walk around at night. There is no ATM machine or any other restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (there is one restaurant in the hotel). And I was under the impression that the hotel provides free airport shuttle service, but this is not available on weekends, so it costed me an extra 23 euros to get to the airport!

If you are there for business or you need to be early at the airport, then this is your hotel. Not suitable for when your on sightseeing. It's a clean modern hotel with free fitness and turkish spa. The rooms are 'fresh' with a free minibar and the people who work in the hotel are very friendly. Simple menu but the the taste of the food is great.

difficile a touver, "loin" de la gare et du centre, pour un court séjour, perte de temps ds les transport compter une heure pour rejoindre le cente de madrid dernier train a 23h 30.... donc difficile de profiter de la vie nocturne, taxi pour 23 km..... sinon tres bel hotel av bcp de service gratuit, mais situer ds un quartier en chantier!
