Hotel Silken Puerta America - Madrid

Es la segunda vez que me alojo en este hotel. Su originalidad lo hace diferente a cualquier hotel. La piscina es algo pequena. Y como pega es que esta bastante aislado, no hay nada alrededor..y sobre todo la temperatura en la habitacion es altisima tanto en invierno como en verano porq los termostatos no funcionan bien.

This was a genuinely fun place to spend a few nights. The location is so-so, well outside of historic Madrid, but at least very close to a Metro stop. The room service prices are outrageous (US$20 for a cocktail). The staff, however, are top notch. Very attentive, cheery, and helpful. The rooms are top notch and are unlike any hotel room I've stayed in before. The design is fun, quirky, and fairly comfortable. All in all, I had a great time staying there, and wold recommend it to anyone, as long as you don't want to get a lot of room service.

En route to a 3 day wedding in The Algarve. Decided to spend a little time in Madrid to break up the journey and also to re-discover the beauty of Madrid. The location for a driver in transit is superb , being on the main arterial route in and out. As a consequence no horrible queues and getting lost in the traffic of Spain's capital city. From the moment I arrived the staff were genuinely helpful and attentive to all my needs. Given the options of 3 floors to stay on I was most attracted by the 10th which just so happened to be the floor designed by the Japanese architect-Arata Isozaki, Room was well laid out, modern and spacious. Breakfast options were incredible. A choice for everyone with a marvellous presentation. Staff very attentive and keen to assist. And so it proved throughout... be it accessing the gym ahead of opening times, dealing with queries and enjoying their facilities. All in all from the moment one noticed the rather unique livery on the buiding's exterior to the time one left after a most pleasant stay one recognised that this hotel was different. Everything about created a favourable impression and there is one certaintly and that is I will be back for a longer stay!

This hotel is pathetic. Located in the middle of no where. Staff is rude and careless. The new so called gadgets are uncomfortable, rooms are tiny, bathroom is in the open. No privacy what so ever. Everything is way overpriced, $35 for water, coke and 2 coffees... My advice is to stay away from this place !!!

This hotel sounds great on paper, the website is great but this is not 5 star. We stayed on the Ron Arad floor. It was like being in Big Brother. All red plastic. the lighting was in adequate for a shave. there is not enough luggage/storage space. I wanted to iron a shirt. I requested an iron they told me they will not provide me with an iron but the will press it for €20. A glass of wine and two bottles of beer in the bar cost €19. the gym comprises of a dumbell stack and a few treadmills in a very small room.the pool is ok.the air con does not go below 19celsius. Being form ireland i found this impossible to sleep in. All in all very dissapointed with my experience here

We were extremely impressed by this hotel and just loved the designs to be seen in it- Would definately recommend it!

This hotel was fabulous. Not too far from the City Center and accessible by the Metro, the decor of each floor of the hotel is inspired by a different artist. The theme carries over into the rooms that exhude comfort and relaxation. The hotel takes not of the little things to make a stay enjoyable - water, cookies, amenities. If you forgot it, they have it. Also a great lounge upstairs so you don't have to leave the hotel to dance.

I do a lot of travellng, and the Sllken Puerta is one of the best Hotels I have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, with excellent service from all the staff, I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel to anyone if they are going to Madrid for business or pleasure. Although I arrived earlier than check-in time, my room was ready. I t was airy and spacious, with an enormous and comfortable king-size bed, plasma TV, and a beautiful bathroom with one of the biggest and deepest baths I have ever seen. Endless hot water too. Breakfast was a leisurely affair, with both continental and cooked food to choose from, and the tea was excellent (not often you can say that outside of the UK!).There are two bars - both confortable with excellent waiting staff, and also a gtreat leisure centre. The Hotel is not in the City centre, but there is a metro station 2 minutes walk away, which will whisk you into the centre in less than 5 minutes, and the cost of any journey is only one euro. I have stayed at this Hotel before, and would definitely stay again.

On arrival we were asked if we would like to pick from a menu of rooms, we picked floor 10, oriental style. Fantastic room. The bed was far to comftible and the bath could fit four people in it. The only down side is that it was very pricy to eat or drink there. The water from the mini bar was 10 Euros. Saying that they happily held our bags all day Sunday as we explored the city and collected them in the evening. Very nice all round. Just buy your drinks for your room from somewhere local.

i loved this hotel, becaseu i didnt know what i was going to find, each floor has got a different design, very cool!

hotel is gelegen op ongeveer 10 minuten van centrum Madrid (puerta Sol) met de taxi; er is op loopafstand een metrostation, maar dan moet je 1 keer overstappen. de kamers zijn luxueus en modern ingericht. De kamer was goed opgeruimd en ook de badkamer was ruim en netjes.Er is een goede lounge gedeelte, waar je tot diep in de avond kunt genieten van een hapje en drankje en muziek, maar ook goed kunt eten. helemaal op de bovenste verdieping (penthouse) is een lounge/bar ingericht waar je kunt genieten van de muziek met een coctail en uitzicht over Madrid. Het is ook toegankelijk voor de lokale madrilenen, en deze kwamen ook om te zien en gezien te worden.

Prachtig hotel, erg trendy. Geweldige gangen en kamers, erg design ingericht. Ligt wel wat verder van het centrum , maar met de metro perfect te bereiken. Prijzen voor minibar en verdere maaltijden wel heel hoog.

Un plaisir pour les yeux avec un service de qualité. Vraiment agréable en amoureux!!

Nous avons été déçu par la maintenance de l'htel: le rideau de la salle de bains n'était pas fixé. Nous avons prévenu la réception qui nous a dit que c'était un défaut connu des chambres du 11ème. Drôle de réponse pour un hotel 5 étoiles!

Incredible interior design, extra luxurious!

Architecture exceptionnelle, design des chambre innovateur, design des salles de bain formidable, service excellent, j'y retourner sûrement. Un seul défaut, sa situation pas très centrale.

Das Hotel ist ein Genuss ....leider das Restaurant im 1. Stock nicht. Qualität und Preis stimmen nicht! Lage des Hotels nicht in der Innenstadt, aber mit der Metro (fährt alle 5 Minuten) sind alle Sehenswüdigkeiten rasch erreichbar. Madrid ist königlich, interessant und unvergeßlich!

Die Architektur und Gestaltung des Hotels ist sehr interessant und Modern. Zimmer wirken leider nach der "Gewöhnungsphase" kalt und nüchtern. Das Schwimmbad ist klein. Service ist gut.
