Hotel Pavia - Roma

The room was cosy but pretty small even though the view was fantastic - right on the Baths of Diocreziano's garden!

Small Ground floor room, tiny shower room, no air/con, fridge door didn't work properly, no view, window opened onto entrance steps, noisy at bedtime. Staff/guests smoking & chattering. Staff not unhelpful, but not particularly friendly.

Cheap and cheerful. Walked into hotel late in the evening, handed a map by the desk clerk, who proceeded to point out the two subway lines and then circled all the main stations to get off at for sightseeing. Once entering the grounds the walk up to the front door is very Continental with the flowers and shrubs

The air conditioning is sub-standard in most rooms and does not work in some rooms.

The staff was very helpful and accomodating. We had two rooms in one room the airconditioning was not functioning. In the other the airconditioning was functioning marginally.

First, the biggest downside is that there is an extra charge (10 Euro) for air conditioning. A sad surprise when the mercury hit the upper 80s. At least the windows provided a good cross-breeze. This was a real disappointment. The location is great, and the the rooms are adequate, but they are not well maintained (furniture on the verge of collapse, showers that don't drain, plugs that don't stay in the wall). Many people have written that it was not clean--It was fine during our stay. A real shame--this could have been a great find. But there are lots of places in the area, so keep looking!

The hotel wasn't bad. The bathroom was a joke on how small it was, but that is what most bathrooms will look like in Europe for that price. The hotel itself was a good deal for the price because it was right by Termini station in Rome, from which where you can be in the center of the city in minutes. The hotel smelled of smoke, which bothered me, but everyone smokes in Europe so I cant really blame the hotel itself. All in all for the price and location, this hotel is perfect for a traveler on a budget.

Had booked a non-smoking twin room, but were given a very smoky room with a broken screen on to the ensuite bathroom (so no privacy!) We complained and were given 2 singles for the first night, and a nicer twin room for the rest, but in this one the shower didn't drain properly and clearly needed unbunging. Couple of things letting down an otherwise very nice hotel: good location, very helpful & friendly staff and a nice breakfast!

It would be best if the entire room be renovated

This hotel is in a convenient location (across from the Termini), but the most direct street was a little seedy. The hotel staff was great and other guests were friendly. The free internet was a blessing. The rooms were small and basic. A nice place for a casual, money-conscious traveler.

The bathroom layout was terrible; the service was lousey, and the breadkfast included was not very good. They do offer free internet in the lobby though which was a bonus. Rooms otherwise are ok and the bed was somewhat comfortable.

Hôtel proche des quartiers à visiter, calme malgré la gare proche. Mais les papiers peints sont plus que défraichis, les murs et portes peu épais...les petits déjeuners sont copieux mais peu variés. ll est personnel est cordiale.

Litet hemtrevligt och centralt hotell som behöver genomgå en omfattande renovering. Gammla möbler, tältsängar och drapperi dörr till toaletten som är 1meter från sängen. Frukosten är mycket enkel men kaffet är gott. Vänlig personal och städningen är okej.

Lage Top direkt am Bahnhof. Sehr freundlches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Zimmer entspricht nicht den europäischen Standart. Sehr klein und sehr muffig. wahrscheinlich ein Raucherzimmer.

Overraskende rolig belligheden, taet på hovedbanegaarden. Billigt i forhold til mange andre hoteller centralt i Rom. Men slidte faciliteter og vaerelser - dog OK blot til overnatning.

Hotellet är beläget mkt nära Termini så det är mkt smidigt att ta sig runt på alla sevärdheter men samtidigt nära till flygbussen. Det var ett billigt hotell men var bättre än väntat och det enda vi hade problem med var att vattnet hade svårt att rinna ner i brunnen. I övrigt mkt trevlig personal och god frukost - ett bra budgetalternativ med närhet till det mesta.

und vor allem soo zentral gelegen. Von hier aus bzw. dem Statione Termini überall hin gelangen, auch zum Airport. Eine echte Erleichterung. Wunderschöner Ausbblick in italienischen Innenhof mit Palme oder in die antiken Terme. Frühstück war auch ok, da habe ich schon wesentlich Schlechteres für Teureres gehabt. Zimmer sind halt klein und das Bad auch. Naja, trotzdem ausreichend und gemütlich.

Några få minuters promenad från Termini. Saknade AC och hiss - besvärligt med tungt bagage. Rummet ok för priset, men dålig avrinning i duschrummet och risk för översvämning. Fin frukostbuffe. Internet intill receptionen med möjlighet till trådlös uppkoppling. Snabb service med taxi - tog alltid bara 3 minuter från hotellets uppringning tills taxin fanns vid entren.

Vom Hotel aus waren die uns wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten (Colosseo, Foro Romano usw.) gut auch zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Bahnhof Termini liegt nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt, da wir eine Städtereise per Zug machten, war die Lage optimal. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Jag ska ifortsättningen boka in mig på dyrare rum i Rom. Hotellet ligger dock praktiskt i närheten av Centralstationen, och på gångavstånd till hele centrala Rom. You what You pay for!

zentrale Lage nähe stazione termini sehr vorteilhaft, sehr gepflegt, allerdings keine internationalen Fernsehkanäle (wenn das Fernsehgerät überhaupt funktioniert), kein Radio, dafür ist Internet GRATIS
