Palazzo Sant'Angelo sul Canal Grande - A SINA Hotel - Venecia

We got a great deal on this hotel from Hotels.com and were very satisfied to find that it was such a nice hotel. It's a little out of the way, which you appreciate during the day when you're tired of the crowds in the more popular areas, but if you are walking home from a later dinner, it gets a little desolate - not unsafe though. I would highly recommend - the staff was very friendly. And they also offer a free private water taxi to Murano and a private tour of one of the glass factories - this was the best part of the trip by far.

The Hotel's location on the Grand Canal in view of the Rialto bridge is excellent. You can walk easily to all of the major tourist attractions and the vaporatto station is literally one door down. The quality, condition and decor of the hotel are all excellent. We were pleased with the size of the room and the furnishings. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and most spoke english (or at least enough english to communicate). The breakfast that was included was a nice way to start the day without having to go find someplace to eat. Overall the only things we were not completely happy with are too minor to mention specifically. We would definately stay here again on future trips and would recommend it to anyone going to Venice.

Upon check-in, we were offered a free excursion to Murano, to see how a glass manufacturer operates. After a brief tour of the glass blowers, we were ushered to their sales showroom. Our host followed us from room to room and made the experience very uncomfortable. we soon relaized this was a high powered sales presentation. The Palazzo Saint'Angelo sponsored the event and it soured our entire Venice experience.

I loved everything about the hotel, the view, the bed, the service, the location, the bathroom, and even the closet area that fit all of our luggage. I can't wait to return. It was also right off the main canal in Venice, so it gave you a central location to walk and get water taxis to wherever you needed.

This was the second time we stayed here and both times we were upgraded to a suite overlooking the Grand Canal. Everything was done beautifully and the staff was very attentive. Wonderful in every way.

Beautiful hotel with an incredible staff. Everyone bent over backwards to ensure we had a great stay. They even upgraded our room to a Jr. suite on checkin!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Palazzo Sant'Angelo. The location was perfect for walking or using the water boats. We would recommend staying here. The staff was very helpful.

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location on the Grand Canal and the staff is most accommodating. We arrived from our cruise ship at 10:00 am and the hotel staff quickly worked to get a room ready for us. The front desk staff were so very helpful giving us directions and suggesting a superb local restaurant for dinner. If you are looking for a truly wonderful hotel experience in Venice this is the place to stay.

Excellent service, great location, nice rooms.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Even better is the excellent air conditioning - a must for the summer. Everything was spotlessly clean throughout the hotel. The location on the Grande Canal is excellent; just far enough way from San Marco to make it less crowded but still an easy walk to everything. The staff is very professional and helpful.

This is a lovely boutique hotel situated on the grand canal in Venice. The stand for the vaporetto's was very close making mobility very easy. To the back of the hotel was a short walk to St. Mark's and great shopping. The room was spotless and comfortable and the large bathroom was as well. The breakfast included in the price was outstanding and beautifully presented. By far the best stay we had in Italy, would have loved to stay longer. I feel we got what we paid for and would recommend this to anyone looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Outstanding hotel- beautiful, clean, spacious, up to date, perfect location, all the modern ammenities and hospitable staff. Stop researching other hotels, this one is absolutely perfect and made our stay in Venice a pleasureable experience.

Great location for getting around the Grand Canal -- staff was very helpful -- rooms were large and clean

We stayed for two nights at this hotel we were disappointed as the room was smaller than we had expected for the price. Reviews commented on the turn down service but this was non existant, other people had remarked on the chocolates and turn down service in other reviews. We feel this may well have been due to the fact that we had queried the price of two drinks which we bought at the bar. We had two bacardi and cokes and were charged 34 euros (in excess of £30 uk pounds) we queried the charge the next morning as we couldnt believe the cost. We were told that although this was not listed on the bar menu 'the price is the price'. We have stayed at numerous four star hotels and have never been ripped off like this before and certainly won't stay with this hotel chain again.

Small, quiet hotel on the canal. Excellent staff!...personable, helpful and warm. Great breakfast! Easy access to main attractions. Would return there without a doubt.

This hotel had old fashinoned grace. It was appointed with all the contemporary needs - TV's fax machine, internet accessa although you haed to pay for this separatley. STaff were outstanding and accomodating. Excellent choices for breakfast.

Ein wirklich schönes Hotel mit hervorragender Komtetenz geführt. Sehr aufmerksamer Service machen den Aufenthalt zum Genuss. Nahezu zentrale Lage und unmittelbarer Wasserbusanschluss machen die Exkursionen zu einer Leichtigkeit. Zimmer und allgemeiner Zustand des Hotels sind ausgezeichnet und seine vier Sterne durchaus wert. Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten lassen sich von hier aus mühelos zu Fuss oder mit Wasserbus und Wassertaxi erreichen.

Malgrés que notre chambre était situé dans la partie la plus haute, les combles, et le bruit des jacuzzi des voisins, nous ne sommes pas déçu de l'hotel, personnel trés bien et confort exceptionnel.
