Great value near downtown Lisbon. Superb staff. Nothing bad at all to say about this gem.

Outstanding hotel. Outstanding value. King-sized bed, remodeled bathroom. This is a borderline line 5 star hotel. Excellent staff with great tips about what to do/see in Porto.

The Eurostars is a very nice, modern, comfortable hotel in Porto. The location is somewhat central, but it is somewhat hard to find. But that's not the hotel's fault. Porto is not easy to navigate in a car. Not too many places for dinner nearby. But no complaints at all about the hotel itself.

This is an excellent hotel and, though not cheap, we thought, good value for money. Really cannot fault it in any way - comfortable, spacious and impeccably clean. The bed was HUGE, firm and v comfortable. Lovely marble bathroom. Had breafast only one day - plenty of choice - hot and cold. It's a little way (about 15 - 20 minutes) on foot to the highly desireable Ribeiera district but good excercise as it's quite steep on thw way back. If you're weary a cab is only about 5 euros. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at the Eruostars das Artes in Porto and can only compliment the hotel and its staff. The building is traditional from the outside, yet modern and comfortable inside. Immaculately clean, the room was a decent size and had a huge bed. The bathroom had marble floors and walls and a good, powerful shower (a must for us!). The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, going out of their way to recommend restaurants and places of interest in the city and neighbouring towns. My partner mentioned to the night receptionist that it was my birthday the following day, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of champagne and a plate of fresh fruit in our room when we returned from a day out sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and look forward to staying there again.

Service excellent (recommending dining, getting taxi's, teaching portuguese). Minor gripe was bar opening hours but not often enough in hotel to mind.

Comentado por C, deLondon, el abr 27, 2009
We loved this hotel (design, staff, cleanliness and breakfast quality). We also found the location very good: handy for the old part of town and handy for the Casa da Musica too, in the other direction. We loved the breakfast room with the view of the small garden in sunlight. We would like improvements in respect of two things: (1) the shower had no thermostat and poor pressure) and most importantly, (2) the bed (despite great in size), was as hard as nails. We'll be back as soon as they add a memory/viscoelastic mattress topper ! If you love a hard-hard bed, this is a "full mark 5" hotel for you!

This is a really nice hotel and the price was very reasonable - have paid a lot more for much less in the past!! The only draw back is it is about a 15 minute uphill walk back tothe hotel from the City Centre and the river. Would receommend this hotel and would stay there again when I go back to Porto!

The hotel is set in the 'art galleries' area and just by the trams and bus stops. The rooms were clean, and to a good standard. Views arent great but it wasnt a problem - just neighbouring blocks of house/flats. Reception desk were really helpful and told us all the places to visit, providing maps etc.

A very pleasant hotel with friendly staff. Drawbacks were no restuarant open and no tea/coffee facilities in room. Room service at 3 euros a bit steep for an early cup of tea. I would return if this facility was made available. Very handy for access to main areas.

sobre value="10""Pristine hotel in real neighborhood"
Comentado por J, deUK, el sep 9, 2008
The hotel itself is good 'international' style. Local flavor comes from its setting, which is a true Porto neighborhood. The 15-minute walk to the Aliados metro stop takes you past a typical mix of beautifully restored and romantically decayed houses and through an interesting shopping district (with great single-speciality shops for buttons and wheels, for example).

This was the first time I had stayed in a Eurostars hotel. If they are all like the Porto hotel, I will definitely use them again. My only gripe is that the bed was a little firmer than I normally like. But the room and bed were large, immaculately clean, and supported with extremely professional, courteous and friendly staff. The location was absolutely walkable to everything in the city (though Porto is a hilly city, so this is relative). Definitely consider this hotel for your stay, business or leisure.

Comentado por K, deUSA, el oct 21, 2007
This hotel is very nice and a great value for the money, but the location isn't the best for tourism. We mainly wanted to wine taste and see the Riviera, but these were both pretty far away. A cab ride didn't cost much though, so if you want something nice and not too much $ stay here. Otherwise stay in Riviera or on the other side of the rive.
