Lansdowne Place Hotel and Spa by Park Inn - Brighton

room very small got to hot. the selection of teas and coffee very pore not everyone like earl grey.

We stayed for one night only and didn't see a great deal but here are the things we liked: - The bar (if a little pricey) - Nice looking hotel with good decor - Beautiful chandelier in the foyer - The bed - very comfy - The shower Here are the things we didn't like: - The distance to town - it is a long walk...but cabs are pretty reasonable - Distinct lack of parking...but that's just Brighton - We found a good multi storey car park about half a mile away at Norton Road - Only 6 channels on the TV - Tolietries and no hair dryer

The Park Inn is really good value for money. It's about a 10 minute walk from the heart of things in Brighton and a block from the seaside. I imagine it's worth the little walk in terms of price. We stayed 2 nights and our first room was small (we booked late during the busy summer season) and the second was very spacious. Both rooms had great bathrooms (being American I am very fussy about such things.) The staff was very helpful. The first morning we had breakfast there -which was pretty ordinary and way too expensive since we didn't get it included with our room. I would stay there again.

Above average in claenliness and bed, that was comfortable but bath was a bit knackered: Showerwall was leaking when showering, paperroll-holder came of the wall and the tap didnt sit tight to the zink. Friendly staff.

I stayed for 2 days and I can only say good things about the hotel. It is clean, the staff are friendly, the location is awesome.

This hotel is not bad at all to stay in. I'm quite impressed with the room I had. Though it was small and cosy, as i'm not a family man, I can't complain. The room looks really modern, in contrast to the out-dated doors. The hotel staffs I dealt with are helpfull as well esp. the African dude at the reception desk. In a nutshell, I had a good stay at the hotel, as there was much to do outside than to lay in.

My wife and I are frequent visitors to Brighton, staying at various hotels. This was our third visit to the Lansdowne in three years and it's going downhill, evidently needing substantial maintenance; not helped by being allocated one of their smaller king-size rooms despite previous stays. The red paint over the walls and carpet in the rear stairwell would make it a good set for anyone re-shooting The Shining.

Although clean room shower in bathroom was pathetic, had a bath instead! The filter think in sink was missing and I lost top of some costmetics down it!! Room next to lift so noisy and although was promised that the lift was stopped between 11pm & 7am had to ring down at 11.30 to get them to stop lift!

Customer service was the worse that I have experienced. Rooms tatty and extremely small, even though we had a Queen room. Would not recommend at all.

I was travelling and working from very early morning, so when I arraived at the hotel I was pretty tired. Bt 14:15, no one at the front desk to check in (no bells or buzzer to get attention by the way), so I waited for 15-20 mins, then I had to call the hotel from in front of the front desk for checking in. I have never had this service at 4 star hotel. In the room, few lads called me asking their friends....wrong room number...at night and in the next early morning. When I went out for dinner (I decided not to spend any penny at this hotel), I deposited my room key on the way out, so on the way in needed to have my key; the front desk was on the phone, yes, again I waited for 10 mins to get my room key.......just lovely lovely experience I had at this hotel. I definately choose other hotels.

I loved everthing about this hotel. Very convenient location, sumptuous rooms, amazing breakfast and very pleasant staff!
