HOTEL RESIDENCE MIRAMARE - Sorrento

We absolutely loved this hotel!! We stayed in the family room with my husband and I and 2 sons and it was very roomy. We stayed in Room # 405 and it had outstanding views from our own little patio. I couldn't stop taking pictures when we first got there. The pool overlooks this fabulous view also. The 2 bedrooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was a little small, but adequate for reheating things or having breakfast. The location was great. The bus stop was right outside the hotel and it was even within a five minute walk to the Piazza Tassa which was the town center. The breakfast which was included with our room was very good. I thought it was a great value for the money and would highly recommend it. We'll be back!

We loved out stay in Sorrento and the hotel was very comfortable (other than the extremely hard bed). We booked a room with a balcony and it was fabulous. The room was large, particularly so for European standards. The hotel had plenty of sunning decks and the pool was relaxing. Although it is a little bit of a walk (15 min or so) from town or to the train station, it is enjoyable as long as you are not carrying luggage and are not afraid to run across the street to/from the hotel entrance.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful view but also had a lot of road noise. Ran out of hot water quickly maybe because it was off season. I would have loved to have stayed longer.

I emailed the hotel prior to our stay and requested a room with a good view. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and helpful and sorted out a fantastic room for us. An amazing view of the coastline and Mt. Vesuvius from our balcony! Room had good air con and was very clean and spacious. The room was cleaned and towels replaced daily. There is a small kitchen area, but we used the fridge more than the hob! The hotel sun terrace was generally quiet with plenty of room and the pool is excellent for cooling off and again the views are spectacular. The hotel only offers snacks during the day, so I?d recommend going out for lunch or stock up your kitchenette. Breakfast is simple but very sufficient and the coffee is great, as you'd expect! Sorrento, with its many bars and restaurants, is an easy 5-10 minute walk and you get some great camera opportunities on your way down (and back up!). The road running adjacent to the hotel is busy but nose levels are dependent upon where your room is located. To be honest, this wasn?t an issue at all for us. If I could get a similar room as I had this time around, I'd definitely stay here again.
