Standard Hotel Genova - Genoa

One rude receptionist at check in and then one helpful one during check out. Advertised internet, but 10euro per hour. Shower has a phone in it but the shower head falls down and difficult to get in it after a sideways move. CNN and other english tv channels listed in directory but did not work in building. Jacuzzi empty of water. Otherwise hotel and room looked good, breakfast was good. Overall, for the money everything listed and advertised should work and internet should always be free in hotels, its 2009.

The Standard Hotel is the same as Soglia Hotel. The best thing is that it is very close to everything-cental ttrain station, bus stop, restaurants, etc.The decor was ok although the dark furnishings might be off putting for some. The room and toilets were extemely clean and the daily room service was excellant. The breakfast was ok. The 4 stars that they claim is only a local rating and is no way an international four star, and mostly a 3star.

pros: centrally located...resonable hotel for the price. has gym sauna etc. decent breakfast. cons: my room had a very small shower clubical. not everyone will fit in it. no english channels on tv.

clean facility, friendly helpful staff, and great breakfast!!! This hotel was a litlle difficult to find but once there the staff made us feel at home. The location of this hotel was safe, central to downtown and lots of fun things to see near it!

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay in this hotel. It was booked at the last minute (the same day that we arrived) based on price and ability to accomodate a family of 4 in one room. The instructions and GPS co ordinates were exact allowing us to find the place first time. There is short term parking directly outside the hotel and secure covered parking at $17 a day. The hotel is old but well maintained. The room layout is fantastic with each room having two levels. The first level is entry / lounge/ bathroom and kitchenete. The second level, upstairs being the bed and desk. The hotel is well located near the marina and is only a 5 minute walk to some of the best restaurants and attractions Genova has to offer. The hotel provides free street maps and advice on what and were to eat.

Well situated -close to station and well situated for all transport for touring both the immediate area of Genoa and further coastal areas including Santa Margarita, Portofino and Cinque Terra

great for proximity to train station. Difficult area to find places to eat though. Bathroom clean, carpet needed to be replaced. Very small and dark room.

I am not sure how this hotel got a 4 star rating. It was no better (if not any worse) than a motel6 in the US. Upon checkin the person at the reception was curt and unpleasent to talk to. As an example, she asked for my passport (which was packed inside my luggage). I showed her my driver license and requested her if I could get to the room and bring back the passport (since my passport was packed inside my luggage). All she said was an impolite "NO". I had to open my luggage in reception lobby for the passport. (I stayed in other hotels in Italy and nobody objected to bringing back my passport). The hotel room had stained lamp shades, very average appearance, uncomfortable bed. Overall appeal was no better than a 2 star hotel. The only thing that was worthy was the buffet breakfast and a courteous staff in the breakfast room. Overall, I regretted paying a 4 star hotel price for mostly 2 star facilities and a rude staff at the reception.

Nous n'avons passé qu'une nuit avant de prendre le bateau pour la Corse. Attention, pour trouvé l'hotel : le nom en Italien n'est pas "standard hotel Genova". Il n'y a pas de place pour se garer donc on vous soulage de quelques euro pour qu'un gars emmene la voiture dans un parking dit privée. Sinon il est propre, les gens sont sympa et les chambres pas mal. En conclusion, pour une nuit : très bien.

Günstiges Hotel in bester, zentaler Lage, mitten in Genua. Preis-Leistung passt perfekt.

Allt va kanon förutom att när de regnade ute så kom de små droppar från taket det va inget känt problem för dom men vi fick byta rum ifall vi ville.

Sehr zentral gelegen, direkt am Bahnhof Piazza Prinzipe, zehn Minuten Fussweg zur Fussgängerzone und zur Hafenpromenade. Schöne, saubere Zimmer mit Klimaanlage, modernes Badezimmer, freundliches Personal und gutes Frühstück im Preis enthalten. Etwas schwierig zu finden, da nicht "Standard Hotel", sondern "Soiglia" (?) am Eingang steht.

L'hôtel est bien situé et le personnel sympathique, mais il ne vaut pas un 4 étoiles. L'hôtel est bien isolé phoniquement de l'extérieur, mais pas de l'intérieur (bruit du couloir, et surtout bruit du compteur électrique individuel de la chambre...) À noter: pas de chaînes internationales à la télé, et le wifi coûte 9 euros pour 24 heures!

Très bonne chambre (en duplex, pratique pour une famille de 4 comme nous). Petit déjeuner buffet très fourni. A noter : parking 20 € pour 24 h (on vient chercher et garer votre véhicule)

Mi è piaciuto l'hotel che ho travato pulito e comodo, il personale molto gentile e disponibile a soddisfare le mie richieste. Situato in una zona ben servita dai mezzi pubblici e anche dai treni. Colazione abbondante e molto varia e letti comodi

vicino all'acquario di genova, al porto, al centro storico. tutto raggiungibile a piedi (10-15 minuti). stanza spaziosa anche per la culla addizionale

Trænger du til en ferie i Genovas dårlige kvarter, så vælg dette hotel. Du vil her møde en arogant porter, som er bange for hotellets manager. Hotellet lever slet slet ikke op til sine stjerner, i dansk standard taler vi om en stjerne, dybt skuffede, dybt forfærdeligt kvarter.

Hotel de bon confort, garage payant mais le service est bien assuré.

Di sicuro molto buono, sia per ciò che riguarda la struttura che la posizione. Naturalmente, dato che si tratta di un Hotel vicinissimo ad una stazione ferroviaria e ad un porto, non è opportuno avventurarsi nei vicoli accanto nelle ore serali, mentre durante la giornata risulta eccezionale per la centralità e la vicinanza ai mezzi di trasporto (FS, Metro, Autobus):

L'hotel n'était pas trop mal. Les chambres assez grandes. Par contre de la à valoir un 4 étoiles... bof bof! La jaccuzi ne marchait pas biensur! C'était un peu pour ça que j'avais réservé cet hotel précisement car j'hésitait avec le sofitel, qui je pense est mieux. Par contre pour l'emplacement, celui ci est mieux si l'on veut se rendre au port. .

On nous demande de suite 20€ pour le parking. Pas de petit déjeuné car nous partions a 7h30, on nous a expliqué que c'était la fête nationale, mais ce n'est pas notre problème.

A due passi dalla Stazione Principe, vicino Università, in via Balbi piena di servizi e vicino a collegamenti metro.bus-ascensore. Confort e pulizia perfetti, colazione otima e abbondante, camere silenziose, personale ok. Se proprio voglio trovare una pecca, l'ascensore faceva un po' i capricci.

I had to book a hotel on a very short term and it turned out to be really nice. Delicious breakfast buffet and a very nice room. Only bad thing, it is hard to park the car nearby, and the very good service, of secure parking, the hotel offers, cost 20€ per day. Bit too much for my taste.

Posizione comodissima per chi viaggia in treno e per visitare il centro storico e l'acquario

First of all the name of the hotel is not "Standard hotel Genova" which made it really difficult to find the hotel from the car. The room was big but not modern. My friends had a stair in their room that was really unsafe. The breakfast was really poor. Toasts and tea. Cookies for those who likes that. The juice was served in plastic cups. I expect a 4 star hotel to have glasses at least. There were 2 eleavators but only one of them was working. This was a problem in the morning when a lot of people was using it. The hotel had a private parking but for our second night it was full even though we had made a comment for parking on our booking. The neighbour hood felt unsafe. A woman was robbed a couple of 100 mtrs from the hotel.

Quando saremo di nuovo a Genova per fare un'altra crociera ritornaremo li.

Ottimo hotel nei pressi della stazione in una via di passaggio pedonale abbastanza tranquilla. L'unico disappunto sono state le lenzuola con dei buchi, cosa secondo me imperdonabile per un quattro stelle o presunto tale, visto che la qualità e il prezzo sono assimilabili a un 2/3 stelle. Colazione abbondante e di qualità superiore alla media, con torte, bevande, affettati, croissant freschi e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Personale simpatico e disponibilissimo.

Posto centrale attaccato alla stazione ferroviaria di piazza Principe e ben servito dai mezzi pubblici. Situato a non più di 5 minuti a piedi dall'Acquario di Genova. Parecchi locali per mangiare e fare spese nelle vicinanze.

L'unico difetto la scarsa luminosità della stanza, per il resto tutto bene

Coppia in visita turistica a Genova. Siamo stati molto felice dell'albergo, un 4 stelle ad ottimo prezzo di tutto rispetto. Bell'ambiente, ottima prima colazione (fino alle 11.30), personale ospitale e gentile. Peccato per il garage non integrato e molto caro, evitare di portarsi l'auto se si può! In conclusione: un'ottimo albergo con tutti i comfort, l'ho già consigliato ad alcuni amici.

Ottima colazione, camera non molto spaziosa. Edificio un po' buio ma nel centro di Genova non ci sono alternative. Personale molto gentile e professionale.
