"We enjoyed our stay"
Comentado por un huésped de Hotels.com el ago 16, 2009.
It was hard to know what to expect looking at just the photos. We were pleasantly surprised. This hotel has character. It's close to Plaza Nueva but tucked into a quiet alley. On a map, we thought it was closer to the Alhambra than it is because of the topography, but it was still very convenient based on its proximity to the royal chapel/cathedral and access to food and taxis at Plaza Nueva. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good.

This hotel is hidden on some side streets, but not far from the main plaza. The downside was that it is a little strange to get to at first, but on the upside it is very quiet. Being in an old home, the hotel is very charming, but our shower was leaky. Serena at the front desk gave us a free upgrade to an Executive double... which was gorgeous and much more comfortable! Much better than the double we had originally... and it had Alhambra views. Finally, as with the other Room Mate hotel we have stayed in (Room Mate Laura in Madrid), the breakfast was great and included in the room price.

This is a great little place with an excellent location. The rooms are small, beds are hard and some rooms can be very noisy, but despite this we really liked this place. The staff was wonderful and the place had a very authentic feel to it.

Nice ambience in the hotel. However - there is nowhere to park. If you park in the old town you get a 90 Euro fine and there are police cameras everywhere. When I got to reception they kindly emailed the police to make sure we didn't take the fine. However - having been told that the hotel had an 'arrangement' with a local parking spot, I didn't expect that arrangement to include an additional 18 Euro per day charge. It was impossible to turn the noisy airconditioning off in the room The free wifi was available if you sat outside the reception office. It certainly wasn't available in the roomn.

Casa Migueletes was a cool Oasis of calm in a hot busy city. The room was clean and comfortable with a great shower. Breakfast buffet had a good choice and a kettle so I good make a decent cup of tea - very English! The reception staff were friendly and had good advice, the only thing we would have liked to have known prior to going was about parking, we managed to find a secure parking space for the duration of our stay but there was one closer to the hotel. Internet access was a bonus and allowed to coordinate the rest of our trip in Spain. I would return to this hotel, would be nice to have a room with a view but we did book late.

We found this to be a pleasant, friendly hotel with a lot of atmoshpere, in an excellent location. It is important to know in advance that a taxi cannot take you right to the hotel - you will have to walk about 2 blocks along cobblestone backstreets from the main square. Even though it is well sign posted from the square, we found it challenging upon our arrival in the dark to pick up the sign posts. The taxi driver and several passers by could not tell us where it was and our mobile phones did not have reception. Eventually, a shopkeeper pointed us in the correct direction. Breakfast is not until 7.30am which meant quickly making a bread roll before walking the 20 minutes to the Alhambra for our 7.45am ticket collection.

There is nothing bad I can say about this hotel. The location was great and in the center of everything (though it is off a poorly lit alley way that can be a little scary at night). The rooms are a great size, clean and have so much character. The staff was beyond helpful and had some great dinner suggestions. The breakfast was included and very good. I would highly suggest this hotel to anyone staying in Granada.

The best word to describe our stay was disappointed. Despite the good location, the hotel was dark and dated. In addition, our room was up 2 flights of stairs with no elevator, an inconveniece when carrying luggage.

The hotel is well located and easy to find. Clear directions re: parking on website. Room (no 16) was very clean, but was extremely small - just room for the bed and a cupboard. Next to no storage space. The bathroom was almost as large as the bedroom. Looking at floorplans of the hotel, this seemed to be the smallest room of them all. Would suggest you book a twin room rather than a double as they looked a bit bigger. There was also no external window, other than a small one that opened on to the landing, so we could not have it open at night. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful with a good selection of goodies.

The noisiest room I have ever stayed in. Dogs barking, motor bikes tearing down the alley, doors banging, shouting, drunk people making noise, another couple clearly in throws of passion, no sound proofing, no double glazing, no carpets or curtains, so any sound just echoes round. If you want to sleep bring ear plugs and ear muffs!!! But on a lighter note a very pretty hotel and rooms, very clean. Breakfast was good, although nothing special, pretty good location as well. If you can live with noise or perhaps avoid the rooms at the front of the hotel (room 3 and room 1) this is a good hotel.

This is a quaint & charming hotel located in the old town section of Granada. We had 2 rooms and our 2 boys...ages 16 & 18 really liked the hotel. The only problems were: (1) very loud construction noise on the building attached to the hotel starts at 7:00 AM ...it's impossible to sleep through the noise (2) the directions to the hotel are NOT clear. There is no way to drive directly to the hotel. It should have been made explicitly clear that one's car has to be parked at a public car garage several blocks away from the hotel & that taxis are available at the garage to take the guests to the hotel. The hotel reimburses for the taxi ride TO the hotel but not back to the garage.

We were alittle concerned when we headed down the first alley that led to the hotel (None of us speak Spanish,it was night and we were already feeling alittle uneasy!) When we walked into that wonderful little Hidden Treasure we were all amazed at what we found! A authentic little Spanish neigboorhood. They spoke English, were extremly helpful, and the facility was clean and well kept! We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else when we return to Granada!

A very nice hotel. Excellent service, location and the hotel is full of charm. However it is VERY noisy at night. Stone floor everywhere, windows in some (or most?) rooms facing a nice courtyard which is like a a loby, people passing, talking, taking lift, taking going for a breakfast all on stone flors and all under you windows, well not really windows but wooden shaters. If somebody in above room walks in his/her shoes, use a bathroom or talks, forget about your sleep? It is a shame as otherwise this hotel is very nice!
