Hesperia Tower Hotel - Barcelona

Great hotel - Metro (subway) and bus stop is a two minte walk and will lead you to anywhere you'd like to go - Nothing really in the direct area but again the subway will give you all you need. Beds are extremely comfortable - large rooms for european standards - amentities are terrific along with the views. i'd definitely come back!

I am an American who has been living and traveling through Europe for the past 6 months. I have found that "5 star" ratings in Europe typically don't measure up to US 5 stars and oftentimes are more like 3 star hotels (at best). However, this hotel is a true 5 star. It is immaculate and very modern--beautiful decor- amazing rooms with unique amenities. I would recommend this to anyone travelling to/from the airport or just visiting Barcelona (but doesn't mind being outside the city center).

Great hotel with a friendly staff. Beware that they do run a shuttle to the airport - otherwise it will cost you a minimum of 20 Euro just to go from the airport to the hotel - apparently that is Barcelona rules. The restaurant on the top is closed on Sundays - which was a bummer because it looked very cool. Great selection of newspapers to read. We did not try to use the pool - we experienced some hesitation in whether or not we could use it - apparently you have to buy a day pass to the pool area for 16 or 24 Euro a day to use the pool and fitness center - which was contrary to what I had read. All in all, it was a good place with a nice comfortable bed and free WIFI - offered a shuttle bus to downtown and the airport. Not a bad choice, but the Renaissance Barcelona Airport Hotel was much much better.

This was a very cool looking modern hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean & comfortable. I've read a few reviews that say that the hotels (including this one) shut the air off at night so it gets hot, however, that wasn't the case at all while we stayed there and it was the middle of summer....so I wouldn't worry about that needlessly. We had control of our thermostat the whole time. I would say this is one of my top 5 hotels I have ever stayed in and I travel alot! The staff was very friendly & helpful as well! Thanks! :)

It was very comfortable, quite, excellent hotel and even the location was very good, close to the airport and close to the center.

We were very disappointed with the hotel. We arrived and expected to be able to make an appointment for a massage. We were told that we would have to pay 12 euro to enter the spa and that they not associated with the hotel. We went to the spa and were told that no opening existed for the day. The next day we had scheduled a day trip which started at 8:15 AM. We went down 45 minutes before we needed to leave and were informed that there was no place to obtain breakfast or even coffee in the hotel or in close proximity. We arranged the tour with the hotel staff when we checked in. She applied a charge for breakfast for the morning but failed to tell that it did not open until it would be too late to eat before our tour. The staff did remove the charges but the damage was already done. The hotel also advocates shuttle service to the airport but has limited hours of operation. This was one of the primary reasons for staying at this hotel. We ended up having to arrange a taxi. The facility is very nice but we would not agree that they provide amenities of a 5 star hotel.

When you first see the Hisperia Tower you cant help but be impressed and without doubt the architect has created a clever structure. The room we had was on the 24th floor giving us free all included accesss to the club lounge with tapas and champagne all available. The staff ruin what could be a very good hotel, the service is surly and inconsistent. They make it quite obvious they dont want you there. I certainly would choose another hotel in Bcn.

The hotel in general is very interesting in its design and structure. Common spaces are very open and enjoyable. The restaurant Bouquet has very good food and excellent service. My only two complaints were: if you want ice you either have to take the pint size ice bucket from your room to the bar or call room service and pay 5 euros to get it; and, the air conditioning in my room automatically defaults to 24 degrees C at night so every night I woke up in the middle of the night because I was too warm. The latter was very aggravating and also unhealthy.

I'd stay here again in an instant. We visited for a week in early April, so it was an amazing bargain (5-star hotel, 2-star price). The staff is friendly, efficient, and speak English well. We were in our room (#1308, midway up the tower) in 5 mins. The rooms are large for Europe, nicely decorated, and have a slick dressing area/bathroom that is all mirrors & polished black stone. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the surrounding hills so request a city view. We only ate at the hotel twice: the breakfast buffet is good, as is room service (avail. 24 hours). The hotel sits halfway between the airport and the Fira (the city's exhibition center) in a safe, tidy working-class neighborhood where we drank cafe con leche with the locals. The Metro station is a 5 min. walk, and it's a 25 min. ride to Plaza Catalunya/Las Ramblas. The hotel has a shuttle, but the subway was more convenient for sightseeing.

Upon returning from a cruise, we wanted a hotel close by the airport for an overnight stay. Because of that, we did not mind it's out-of-the-way location. The Hesperia Tower is very, very modern. The decor is rich with lots of color, chrome and class. The glass elevator whisks you to the top floors after you enter your room key card. What a great security feature to eliminate any unwanted visitors wandering around the guest floors. The price was right...The reception desk staff, waiters and room service personnel were all very, very accomodating. I enjoyed my stay at the Hesperia Towers and would have extended my stay there if I could have. Unfortunately, since we arrived for a Sunday night stay, there were few restaurant choices open at the hotel and because of it's location, there were no restaurants within walking distance. We did a three day pre cruise stay at a very high end hotel in the La Rambla section. Dust balls flew around the room the entire time we were there. The room was the size of a closet. The staff was extremely rude and the breakfast buffet was a joke. Hesperia Towers - Keep up the good work!

We returned from a cruise and spent one night at the Hesperia Tower. They were incredibily helpful as they let us check in at 10:00 am, long before check-in time. We had a beautifully appointed room that was so relaxing to rest in. The front desk staff assisted us throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to others. Our first day in Barcelona was disappointing and our last day was just what we needed! This is an outstanding hotel!

Hotel bien desservit pas les métro mais trop loin du centre ville et de la mer. Autour de l'hotel pas de lieux ou se poser. Le personnel ne parle pas tous francais. Difficulté a y accéder sans gps. Difficulté a acceder a l'ascenceur et les chambres car fonctionent avec des carte qui se désactivent.

Malplaceret hotel midt i fattigt nabolag hvor man ikke færdes efter mørkets frembrud

Detta hotell som är ett 5 stjärnigt hotell ligger i mitt tycke lite långt från centrum. Man var tvungen att ta taxi eller som vi gjorde ta tunnelbanan in till centrum varje dag, det tog ca. 20 min. Avståndet till tunnelbanan var inte långt ca. 300 m

Ved bestillingen kom det ikke godt nok frem at beliggenheten var 12 -15 minutter fra sentrum uten rush. PÅ kvelden tok det ca 30 min å komme til sentrum. Shuttelbussen kunne hatt flere avganger. Kort vei til flyplassen, men skal du bruke Barcelona Sentrum så velg et annet hotell. Super frokost og service fra de ansatte.

L'hôtel est splendide, digne des 5 étoiles qu'il annonce. En revanche, le service est loin d'être à la hauteur de ses prétention et le bâtiment est pour le moins excentré.

Alles, was ich vorher gelesen hatte, stimmte! Tolle Zimmer, schickes Design, freundlicher Service. Zwar etwas außerhalb, aber dafür mit Shuttle-Service oder U-Bahn gute Verbindungen in die City.
