Apartments Murillo - Sevilla

very quiet-spotless-staff couldn't be more helpful-5 minutes walk to Cathedral etc-highly reccomend these apts-we had apt no26 on second floor and out side our door was some stairs to a roof terrace where we used to go and look at the cathedral, all lit up at night, before we retired.-beautiful-----

I had a mixed experience at the Apartments Murillo. When we checked in (I had booked 2 rooms for more than a week) they put us on the first floor next to the street and near the elevator. I had asked for both rooms with twin beds, and one of the rooms had 1 bed only. We were told that the sofa converts to a bed and that is considered the bed. This wasn't going to work for us, so we requested to move. They were able to change our rooms (still on the noisy side) very easily. After 2 days, I was able to move to the quiet side of the hotel. Please note that my stay on the quiet side was absolutely perfect and heavenly. I wished that our party had been booked on this side from the beginning. Overall - the hotel is a great location and walking distance to everything (Cathedral, Plaza Espana, many restaurants, bars, etc.). If you book in this hotel, just be sure to bring earplugs as you don't know if you will be placed near the street. My personal opinion is that anyone who has booked multiple rooms and is staying for longer than 3 days should automatically be placed on the quiet side of the hotel, rather than at the noisy side. Please note that the hotel staff were very nice and patient with us and very helpful. the rooms are very nice and spacious. It would be in their best interest to invest in double pane windows to block out the noise from the street - that would make this hotel practically perfect. One of the staff recommended a great restaurant to eat at - Restaurant Modesto - which is near the Jardines Murillo. It was a great place to eat and the restaurant manager there is one of the most helpful, kindest and efficient people I have ever met - he made a point to visit every table to ensure everyone was happy and had what they needed. It was my sister's birthday, and he made a special effort to bring out a nice dessert with candles for her. Be sure to try this place if you stay at the apartments.

The suite was attractive and well-supplied. I was concerned about the outside noise level when we checked in, but as long as you keep Spanish hours (late nights, up by 8 or 9) there wasn't any problem. The bathroom was less than sparkling when we arrived, and the desk attendant was appropriately horrified and had things taken care of. One very strange thing: our suite must have had over 30 moths flying around.

The apartments are in a great location. We loved the small plaza that was next to it with restaurants and shops. However, it was extremely noisy at night. There was a lot of noise from people outside and there was no sound proofing at all. Two nights, at 2 or 3 am, there were garbage trucks that were loud and woke us up. They stayed about 30 minutes with bottles crashing and the truck noises going on. We were in a room which was on the first floor and near the street. Maybe it is better farther back. I don't think I would stay here again because of the noise.

I chose Murillo Apartments from the website and did not know much about this place except that it was in Santa Cruz area where we wanted to stay! What a wonderful find it was! The apartments are charming, spotless and comfortable. Thy are in an old building in a street no wider than 1 metre. The staff were lovely, helpful and kind. We needed salt and it was organised and delivered to our room in 5 minutes from the kitchen of nearby Murillo Hotel. Nothing was too much trouble! The Apartments are very close to all places one wants to visit when in Seville, and yet they were quiet and in a very peaceful street. A real gem and we will be going back, that is for certain!

The hotel was in the middle of the old town and easily accessible from the aeroport bus service (2 Euro's!). The hotel is a little gem and newly renovated. The quality of the hotel far exceeded our expectations. The staff were extremely friendly as well.

The hotel is a self-rated three-star hotel and we believed it should be a four-star. It is modern, comfortable, spacious and well-located. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was in great condition - lovely comfortable quiet room and nice terrace overlooking the city for relaxing in the evening. Staff were really friendly and helpful too!

very quaint and near all touristy sites. the front desk woman was very kind and smart- she arranged for us to cancel reservations at different hotel because we wanted to stay there another night.

The Apartments Murillo are a good bargain. Nothing fancy, but good clean rooms, ample space and a great location for most of Seville's attractions. The one thing traveller's need to be aware of is the apartments are located on a pedestrian street so the cab cannot drop you off or pick you up at the front door. On arrival, the cab dropped us off a very short walk away. However, when we left the cab would not pick us up at the same place. We ended up having to walk a fairly long way with all our luggage to a cab stop.

We were booked into the Apartments Murillo, but when we got there, we were placed into the Hotel Murillo, because of rain damage to the Apartments. The Hotel Murillo was nice, but we were planning on having an apartment. Each would have been well-located, but everything was very confusing in Seville (pleasantly-so, though).

this hotel is very difficult to find. you CANNOT drive to this hotel. you have to park several blocks away and then walk the narrow streets to find it. THis was especially difficult since we were driving a rental car and the rental agency did not give us a map of the city, we had to copy one out of the phone book. When we tried to do a map quest from your site, unable to do this. We were fortunate that we stopped and asked a policeman about the street the hotel was on, that we discovered we had to park and walk. Especially difficult when we were in a new country and did not speak Spanish well. Would not go back there for this reason

the pictures of thsi hotel make it just look ok, but it is a really spacious, very nice apartement in a great location. When my friend and I arrived we were a little nervous becasue we just came from a "4 star" hotel in barcelona and this was only 3 star when this was much nicer and bigger. The location is great. In the center of everything to see in sevilla. Right byt he cathedral and many cafes.

All is great and the only negative I can think of is the Internet connection. You have to sit on the courtyard outside the reception. No place to connect to power.

Hôtel superbement bien placé dans les ruelles de Santa Cruz, un quartier à ne pas rater lors d'une visite à Séville. Malgré son emplacement au centre, pas bruyant du tout. L'hôtel est très sympathique, avec un patio agréable, et les chambres-appartements sont très bien: propres et lumineuses avec confort.

Great place and we got cheap rates too. Breakfast was included at the hotel (just next to the apartment hotel where we stayed). Remember to check out the roof bar on the hotel (Terrace). There are so many places to see historic, shops, eating and drinking in the entire area the hotel is in. We stayed for just one night since we where moving on and where overwhelmed by all the nice places to see here.

Prima appartementenhotel in het oude centrum (Santa Cruz) van Sevilla. Schoon met hotelservice: iedere dag schone handdoeken en beddenopmaak. De appartementen aan de achterkant zijn erg rustig. Geen eettafel en stoelen of barkrukken aanwezig. Om de hoek zijn veel terrasjes en is het gezellig druk. Alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand. AANRADER!!

A nice, small hotel. Quiet, clean and a good location.

Na een aanbeveling door een collega zijn we in het appartement-gedeelte van het hotel Murillo terecht gekomen. Ze hebben plusminus 14 appartementen, waarvan wij nummer 1 op de begane grond hadden. Erg ruim, heel netjes (?), goed ingericht. Waterkoker, koffie en thee wordt elke dag aangevuld. Grote koelkast en 2-pits fornuis (wie gebruikt dat in Sevilla, met al die tapas-barretjes op de hoek). Uitzicht is op een binnenplaats, geen directe view naar de straat (straat is erg smal, dus misschien is dat ook niet erg). Personeel is erg hulpvaardig, spreekt goed engels en is professioneel. Toen we na een wandeling door de stad natgeregend terug kwamen boden ze meteen extra handdoeken aan. Heel attent. Minpuntje is de grote kakkerlak die opeens onder de koelkast uitgekropen kwam... Het was er maar 1, maar toch... Je kan er niet met de auto komen, maar de bus van het vliegveld stopt op 10 minuten lopen van het hotel. Bus kost ? 2,10 (prijs mei 2008) en rijdt elk half uur (door de week, elk uur op zondag), dus laat die taxi maar staan.

De kamers zagen er precies zo uit als op de foto's. Alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden in de directe nabijheid en het appartement light midden in Santa Cruz, de meest gezellige wijk van het oude centrum. In een straal van 30 meter zijn er minstens 5 tappas barretjes te vinden en de sfeer is direct te proeven als je de deur uit stapt. Moeilijk voor te stellen dat deze appartementen zo goedkoop zijn want alles is perfect verzorgd. Het comfort van een appartement en toch de service van een hotel. Aanrader!
