My friend and I picked the Murillo for our 3-day break in Seville and we really could not have chosen better. It's very centrally located, immaculately clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was simple but tasty and set us up perfectly for the day.

rooms very basic but clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be a lot better it is basic with poor quality ham and cheese. The hotel is in a brillant location with plenty of places to eat nearby. We would stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to this beautiful city.

Best location. Good quality, clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Don't let the advertised difficult location discourage you. Enter on Calle Nicolas Antonio off of Ave Menendez Pelayo (It looks like you are driving into the park). We even found off street parking for the duration of our stay and did all our sightseeing by foot. Literally steps away from The Alcazar, The Cathedral, and Archivos General de Indias. Very, very close to the rest of the sights. You are in the heart of Barrio Santa Cruz. We felt safe in this location.

This hotel is in the heart of the Santa Cruz district, a stone's throw from the cathedral, and the area is packed with lovely tapas bars, cafés, roof terrace bars and curio and pottery stores. Also within 5 minute's walk are Barrio Juderia, the Alcazar, the Hospitales los Venerables, the Murillo gardens, taxis, the tram, the Torres del Orro, the river ... the list is endless ... the location truly is wonderful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and multilingual. The staff are happy to store luggage on the last day of your stay, which was a huge help, as our flight home was quite late. The hotel has lots of character, our room was immaculate and spacious, the wardrobe had plenty of room and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was included in our room rate, and well worth including. It was well-stocked. We had a room on the ground floor, which was great for convenience, but there was a tapas bar across the road which would load bottles at 06h30 in the morning - which on a cobble-stoned street can be quite loud. We also had noise late at night with the bars closing up and patrons and guests rolling out. While this was ok as we were out till late ourselves, it could've been a concern if we were staying for longer ... it may be worth requesting a room on the upper floors. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Murillo was a great little hotel in a great location. Understandably hard for the taxi driver to find, but once you know how to navigate around the Santa Cruz neighborhood, it's easy. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is on a quaint little street. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great price for what you get.

Now, there are many hotels, pensions & hostels in Seville but being a fan of all things historical, we decided on the Hotel Murillo that sits smack bang in the middle of the olde worlde area. Not easy to find its true but that just adds to the intrigue of this BEAUTIFUL city and when you get there you are far from disappointed, infact, more bemused at this property being rated at just 2 stars!! Its very well maintained, staff were welcoming & professional and best of all it had a drinks vending machine that sold beer at just over 1euro!!! Rooms were clean & pretty much european standard but hey, you will not be expecting ultra luxury cos its just a place to to put your weary head down at nite. As a superb extra dimension, the hotel has a roof top terrace (with bar during Summer months) that looks out over the old Sevillian rooftops & cathedral, just magical! The budget conscious will struggle to find better value for dosh than this place and subsequently I would personally have no qualms in recommending this hotel or even returning to stay again in the future!

Great Location in the middle of the Juderia. The common areas are beautiful with a lot of antiques mixed with modern decoration. It is a two star hotel that can easily be a 4 star. Very good quality/price ratio

Its location is excellent, very close to all the greatest places in Barrio Santa Cruz. The Staff is super nice. Breakfast is included. This hotel is an excellent deal if budget is a problem. However it has a tremedous problem, the rooms are too small and you can hear all the noice from the other rooms.

The hotel is in the heart of the Santa Cruz area of Sevilla. Within walking distance of La Giralda, Torre de Oro, Alcazar Real, tapas bars, etc. The hotel is quite nice. Rooms are a bit small and austere, but this was no major drawback. A buffet type breakfast was included. Ask the reception for a reservation to the flamenco show at "Los Gallos", it's well worth it. If you arrive by car, don't even try to get to the hotel using your vehicle, it's in a pedestrian area with very tight streets/passages. Leave the car in the closest underground parking structure and walk to the hotel.

Comentado por C, deAustralia, el jul 26, 2008
This hotel is very charming, in an excellent location. We have nothing but praise for the hotel itself. The only minor problem is that bags have to be rolled along the pave street for about 5 minutes as cars cannot drive to the door, but more importantly, taxis will not wait at the nearest corner to pick up guests who are leaving. This is not under the hotel's control but it means that you must therefore roll your bags for about 10 minutes across the park to the nearest main road and hail a taxi there - an inconvenient way to leave.

The hotel was nicely decorated. The rooms weren't too big and it was quite noisy (doors not very good) but overall it was ok. It was centrally located and breakfast was sufficient. I would go back although it's not cheap, but for Seville it is reasonable!

Situated in a narrow street in the old town this is a lovely hotel in a great location. Parking in the area is a problem. We parked near the train station and then walked (~15 minute walk). We had room 105 on the ground floor. The room was lovely and clean but its location meant that we could hear every conversation in the hotel lobby and bar so if you're a light sleeper this really wouldn't be the room for you!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Murillo from July 3 - July 5 and the hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located in the quaint "Barrio de Santa Cruz" - a fantastic area to stay in Sevilla that is close to bars, restaurants, sights, plazas and shopping. The Hotel was extremely clean and the staff was more than helpful. An added bonus was the breakfast served daily and wireless internet. Suggestion: go catch a flamenco performance aroudn the corner at Los Gallos. It is the most affordable and fabulous.
