Had stayed at several four and five star hotels while touring Spain and Morocco, so was a bit concerned to be staying at a three star hotel. The hotel was fabulous and exceeded my expectations. It was every bit as good, and in some cases better, than some of the other hotels I stayed in during this trip. Hotel staff was pleasant, accommodating; the room was clean; and the location was outstanding. Great experience.

I loved the location, being in the heart of activity was great. The hotel itself, was outstanding. The breakfast included was by far the best of all the others we experienced. The staff was as accommodating as could be. The price was more than fare for what we experienced. Every aspect of the hotel seemed new. While you may pay a little more here than a hotel on the outskirts, the money you save on taxies more than make up the difference. Also wi-fi included free, better channel selection than most, and new flat screens in room. Lots of restaurants, bars and shopping right there. Everything one could want is here, look no more, there is no better deal.

The hotel was conveniently located near the Metro and on a plaza with a wide assortment of tapas bars. The only thing I would change is the shower in the bedroom. Not good for a couple when one likes to sleep and the other is an early riser. The staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast was delicious and was surved until 11:30.

We found the hotel very tasteful and aesthetically pleasing. Our room was attractive and comfortable. The only quibble was the lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim for shaving/makeup. Location on the Plaza Santa Ana is wonderful. Good tapas bars nearby, and the staff gave us great restaurant recommendations. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We would stay there again.

Room Mate Alicia is well placed in the heart of Madrid only a short walk away from sights such as the Prado museum. The hotel itself has modern decor. The staff were inviting, and the complimentary breakfast is wonderful!

Good value hotel, modern, clean rooms. The shower in the room was a bit weird and could be an issue for 'non couples'! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was excellent, literally on the corner of the Plaza Santa Ana.

Comentado por A, deLondon UK, el sep 9, 2008
This hotel is very centrally located for the old town of Madrid and the Prado, being on the Calle del Prado. The room was clean and modern, and service was charming. Two things to be aware of however. 1st, proximity to the Plaza Santa Ana meant that my room was quite noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. 2nd, the bathroom was open plan, and the shower door was see-through glass, so the rooms may not be suitable for everyone. With those small reservations I would be happy to recommend this clean, friendly hotel.

The small room resembled aprison cell with a huge grey door and a tiny window overlooking another grey concrete wall - very claustrophobic -would never stay there again and cant understand why it got an award from expedia - the breakfast was not great either

A lovely boutique hotel withinhe room walking distance of the major galleries, restaurants and tapas bars. Quadruple glazing ensures a good nights sleep, but no tea or coffee tray in the room.

Excellent location in the Plaza Santa Ana which is surrounded by tapas bars and outdoor cafes. Walking distance (10 minutes)to near-by attractions, including Prado and Reina Sofia museums, Plaza Mayor, and Plaza del Sol. Friendly and helpful (and English-speaking staff). Recommended restaurants, made reservations for us, checked flight home status, reserved taxi to airport. Clean, modern rooms with great views over Plaza Santa Ana. Junior suite had seperate shower, bath, toilet areas, couch, desk, good lighting, king-size bed, and electric blinds that kept the sun and noise out. Good air conditioning, too. Only negatives: Bed was a bit uncomfortable (too hard a matress) and the food at the included buffet breakfast was cold and wasn't refilled much. Excellent value and location cannot be beat. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely stay there again upon return to Madrid.

While the hotel was under some renovations, the location and value was beyond expectations. Directly across the street from a great plaza with choices of tapas cafes. We could walk to many Madrid attractions.

My wife and I spent a few nights here on our vacation to Spain. Great location, right on the corner of a really nice plaza (outdoor cafes, great people watching). Our room was small but I've come to expect that from modern-looking boutique hotels. If you're at all interested in sleek, minimalist design, this would be a good choice. The black slate stand-up shower was arguably the greatest shower I've ever had in my life, although the glass shower door faces out into the rest of the room. Not for the modest, but my wife and I got a kick out of it. Probably weird for a family with kids. The adjacent restaurant offered a decent (free) breakfast, which was a great way to start a day of sightseeing. The staff was very helpful, holding our luggage for hours after we checked out and were waiting for a train to Barcelona (book those in advance). Free wireless Internet access was a plus, as well. The only downside was noise. We were in a room toward the back of the hotel (not street-facing) and were woken up several times by what could only be the sound of someone moving furniture above us. Heavy furniture, across a bare floor. It was uncanny. And all night. I'm not much of a complainer, and it didn't keep me from getting sleep. It was just weird. It went on periodically for our whole stay. I'm not sure if they're still renovating, or just had a guest who didn't agree with the current layout of their room. Or a Spanish ghost. Either way, I'd stay there again. It was right down the street from all the sights.

Great spot at the Plaza de St. Ana, in the center of Madrid. Close to all the major attractions, but you immediatly get a taste of Spain being in this neighbourhood. Very friendly service and breakfast included in the cafe next door. Don't expect large rooms in Madrid, but it wasn't bad at all. Included Wifi which was very convenient. Would recommend it to business people on a short stay or a romantic weekend for 2!
