Hilton Manchester Deansgate - Manchester

My wife and I visited this hotel as part of our honeymoon. We were upgraded to an executive suite because of our recent nuptials and everything was wonderful. The staff and the service they provided were excellent. We were able to stay for the breakfast the next day and were both throughly impressed by both the quality and the selection of foods available. Everything was perfect!

We stayed at the hotel for a special birthday and still had to queue despite being residents -herded like sheep until we had to find a table...not good. Despite being open until 2am we were told at 1.25pm that "it was closed". All in all very very disappointing - I wont be stayin there for a special birthday or any other occasion again!

We at stayed at the Hilton before and have never had a disappointing time. Service is good the room was clean and cannot fault anything.

I just can't understand why this hotel is a 4 star.. I checked out the local 5 star radisson and it just didn't compare to this! One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in, our standard room had floor to ceiling windows like a penthouse and an amazing city view from the 13th floor! The 23rd floor penthouse type bar in the hotel was the best bar I've ever seen.. and I live in London! 5 star all the way!

Friendly service from all staff. Check-in was quick & efficient. The room was AWESOME! Floor to ceiling windows give a spectacular view of the surrounding city. We were on the 15th floor and it was very impressive. Cloud 23 was everything we expected and because we were guests at the hotel we got priority entrance. Friendly service and a good selection of yummy cocktails. The only minor issue we had was when we appeared for breakfast - our names were not on l the list. The issue was quickly resolved when I showed my booking confirmation. Breakfast was a delight - lots of variety and well stocked both mornings. The waiters were very quick to top-up glasses of OJ, tea and coffee. The hotel is in an ideal situation and I would recommend it to people of all ages.

The Hilton was pretty much as expected. Decent size rooms, modern decor, good service. Excellent breakfast buffet. Overall, pretty good value for a good hotel in Manchester.

I celebrated my 40th birthday in manchester with some friends and we had a superb time. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, directing us to a great bar for lunch soon after arrival. 2 of our rooms were ready early so we left all our bags and went for lunch. the rooms were clean and what a view! we visited cloud 23 which although expensive and very slow service had to be visited again the following night. The pool and leisure facilities were clean and ok, if a little small, only 2 showers and could do with updating a bit. Overall, great hotel for a weekend break.

The Hilton was a lovely hotel, me & my boyfriend went to celebrate our year anniversary & I'm so glad we decided to go here! The room was perfect, decorated in a very modern style with great views! The staff were also very helpful & keen to answer any questions. We also went to the downstairs bar & there was a friendly atmosphere, lovely for a quiet drink. Definitely worth the high price we paid in my opinion!

The hotel looked great from outside and was better than i had anticipated inside. The reception very modern and the reception staff were welcoming and friendly. The room as amazing, plenty of room top quality furnishings and a very comfortable bed. The room was clean and spotless and the bath looked very inviting. We didnt want to leave the room to go to our concert !!. The views of Manchester are very good as with the floor to ceiling windows. Thats if your not scared of heights !! There was a queue for breakfast in the morning but we didnt wait long to be seated, breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of choice. Cant wait to stay here again, already planning next visit.

Check in was fine,the room was definitely looking tired and that included certain aspects of the bathroom.Breakfast is massively overpriced at £17.95!! Suggest you have that just down the street for £3.50

A prestigious hotel and location spoilt by boing reception area, poor bathroom design and expensive parking.

Our confirmation booking form stated 'full breakfast', but when we went for it we were told it wasn't included. The room was nice, but obviously because we had booked it on a special offer deal it wasn't one of the best.

Cannot fault this place at all any of the bad reviews are hard to understand they must have visited on an off day!

Confirmation says breakfast included - receptionist says not - and the whole discussion and looking for an email on a blackberry takes 20 minutes. Not a good start. Shower did not work in the room Pool did not open until 8-00 am in the morning - very frustrating when your shower does not work. Other than that? Absolutely superb........ The room was lush, the facilitiies top class and the breakfast in the morning sublime. Really helpful service staff

Lovely room - v. comfortable. The service from the staff was excellent Hotel in great location - easy to check in. Very good breakfast. Really enjoyed Cloud 23. Would highly recommend and wld stay there again.

It's rather than disappointing to be honest, from the eye of a former hotelier, Hilton Manchester Deansgate is definately not a five star hotel. The service is slow (it took them more than an hour to deliver the bath robe, after having to phone again!) and the room is small. The food is good though, just the portion is more or less like kids meal...

We was greated upon arrival by a very friendly receptionist who made us feel very welcome and assisted when ever i had a query. The room was in spectacular condition when we entered it and the view from our 11th floor room was brilliant. Being a guest there ment that we had first dibs when it came to getting in the lift to "cloud 23" which most none guests wait 6 weeks for.....and i can see why. Although we only went in the bar area upstairs it was an amazing view and they did some spectacular drinks...although very expensive as you would imagine. Also the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym was all brilliant, although i was dissapointed the jaccuzi was out of use. All in all a brilliant place. PS You need to fit the N back on the wall outside lol

The concierge was not very good. Reception was helpful though. Excellent location in Deansgate- close to shops, bars and restaurants. The cloud 23 bar was worth going to once, but is very pretentious.

Poor service, not interested in customers or providing a service. Probably would have had a better stay and be more accomodated at a travel inn. Cloud 23 definitely not worth the wait, standing around and lack of service. Room was comfortable, not top end, wait for drinks. Nothing about the hotel was worth the rate.

Faultless

its a beautiful hotel but the hotel pool was closed when we were there whih was very disappointing. It was the reason we treated ourselves to a night here. we were not informed of this on check in, but the staff in spa told us they had called down in the morning to say it was closed. We got changed before someone came into the changing rooms to tell us the pool was closed!!

me and my partner decided to stay at the hilton for a night as we had a do to go to there. The room was very clean with plenty towels ets, my partner was happy as they has sky sports in the room(men) ha ha. we really enjoyed our stay at the hilton in mancherster deansgate and would definately go back

Only one complaint - didn't seem to be very organised in the dining room for breakfast. Lots of uncleared tables which remained uncleared throughout our breakfast. Had to wait for a table even though dining room was relatively empty, whilst they cleared a table.

Although it's quite big, the Hilton Deansgate has a fun, boutique like feel, with all the comforts expected of a five star hotel. Rooms are well finished;modern yet cosy. The hotel has great location in one of my favourite cities, with a skyscraper design reminiscent of another favourite (The fab bar wouldn't be out of place in NYC either!) The pool and leisure facilities are lovely. And there's no silly snooty stuff from the staff. We had friendly, down-to-earth and helpful service throughout our 3 night stay. An early hiccup with the room was remedied rapidly and responded to with a bottle of champagne! Highly recommended, we will definitely go back.

When staying at Hilton you know what you get and more or less every aspect of the stay will be very pleasant. Do not have any complaints at all. The hotel has an excellent bar on the 23rd floor with a fantastic view, which is definitely worth a visit for a pre-dinner drink. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are clean and nice. Location at the end of Deansgate is also really good. About 10-15 minute walk to the main shopping street (Market Street) and Arndale Shopping Centre. Lots of nice bars, pubs and restaurants in close vicinity on Deansgate. I would certainly go back and recommend others to stay.
