Tigerlily - Edimburgo

We arrived 9.30pm on Friday and I have to warn people that it really is party central with queues outside, bouncers on the door and a nightclub in the basement. The bar and restaurant were packed and we had difficulty getting past everyone to reach the reception. The dinner was excellent but conversation with the 'sounds' impossible. Room was on top floor at rear so quiet and exceedingly clean and comfortable. Same situation Saturday most of day and happy hours from 5.00pm so packed again. Certainly nowhere for guests to sit and read a paper or relax, everywhere jammed with hen partys and 18-25yr olds. So unless you fall into this category might be better to give it a miss. We loved the room but will not be staying at the hotel again for the above reasons

Having been lucky enough to stay in many nice hotels in my day, including the famous Glasshouse in Edinburgh, I can honestly stay this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The decor was very chic, yet comfortable. The best part was they'd thought of everything. Everything was lovely, fluffy, clean and comfortable. The bar downstairs was great fun for a nightcap and the location can't be beat. The view is gorgeous and the rooms very quiet. Look no farther for a really great, comfortable, sexy splurge.

What an amazing hotel. The room was fantastic. We had an ipod with 3,000 songs to flick through, a tv that rotated so we could watch it in bed, the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was funky. The hotel bars were buzzing and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant. It is expensive but you definately feel that you are getting your money's worth. The only thing to watch was the bill when we checked out. They overcharged us for two seperate things but when i pointed this out they removed the items from the bill without any hassle. Just glad I checked and queried it.

We had read some very good reviews about this hotel, so were very pleased when the hotel lived up to our expectations. We stayed for two nights and wished it was longer. The food was amazing, the hotel is based on George Street right in the middle of everything, with some excellent restaurants and sightseeing in walking distance.

We loved loved loved this hotel!! It is chic, very beautiful and a lot of fun!!! The room is large, clean and has everything you would need. It is in a great area all of the surrounding restaurants are fabulous as well and very easy access to everything. I would go back to this city for the hotel alone! Thanks to the Tigerlilly for a wonderful experience!

I loved Tigerlily, from the moment you walk in you realise that the hotel is special. The service was incredible. We ordered cocktails in the front bar at lunchtime and although they were pricey, the bar tender took at least 5 minutes to make my drink and instead of just handing me the coktail menu, he asked what type of cocktails/flavours I liked and then made one up accordingly! We certainly felt special. We returned to the bar at about 2300 and the place was really buzzing. It had transformed from a serene, laid back bar, to one with an electric atmosphere and was absolutely packed. I would definitely recommend Tigerlily and can think of only 2 negatives. Firstly, there is no parking and you have to park about 10 minutes away (Castle Terrace is closest) and secondly, our room overlooked the alley where the bottles were taken after the bar had shut - this was really noisey at about 5am. But really, these are minor points for what is a truly fantastic experience - check out the flower arrangements, they really are special!

Super Hotel mit toller Bar/Restaurant, eigentlich eher super Location mit angeschlossenem Hotel. In jedem Fall lohnenswert, wenn man auch mal im Hotel etwas erleben möchte.

Een belevenis op gebied van design, comfort en klantvriendelijkheid. Gunstig t.o.v. het centrum van Edinburgh gelegen. Personeel van een deskundigheid en klantvriendelijkheid dat je zeldfen aantreft. De keuken dissoneert enigszins; zou wat meer variatie en verfijning kunnen hebben. Uitstekende voorziening voor mensen die even een sigaretje illen opsteken. Twee bars waar voortreffelijke cocktail worden gemixt. Een aantader!
