Hampton Inn Baltimore - Camden Yards - Baltimore

This hotel was really great. I recently stayed there to watch an internatioal soccer game with my 5 year old son at the Baltimore Ravens stadium. The hotel was exremely convenient. When 71,000 fans were leaving the game we were able to walk back to our hotel in about 10 minutes. A light drizzle started as we walked back to he hotel. Right after we got in there was a huge rainstorm, but we were in our nice relaxing room and could see the traffic jam for a couple of hours. The hotel was very reasonably priced and the free breakfast was excellent. It had plenty of basic choices that were very tasty (including eggs and bacon). Also the more substantial breakfast items changed each day so you don't get bored with the selection. We had reserved there nicer king bedroom and it was worth it. It was nicer than I expected. It overlooked Camden yards which was excellent. It also had a small fridge which is excellent for keeping snacks or milk (important when traveling with a 5 year old). We made use of both the pool and fitness center which were both fine for a hotel at this price piont. The staff was extremely courteous (except for one individual at the front door trying to joke with us but his comments to my 5 year old son was not appropriate (the only reason I did not give them 5 stars for service. Other than that one incident their staff was excellent. The walk to the inner harbor was fine even with a 5 year old in tow. If you need grab a cab they are plentiful. We did not rent a car while we were in Baltimore. You don't really need one in Baltimore if you are seeing the sights downtown. I highly recommend thus hotel if you are visiting to watch a game either at Camden Yards or at the Ravens field. I also highly recommend this hotel if you want to find a rally nice hotel that is also a great value while you visit the inner harbor. You can't go wring at this place. If your only consideration is the inner harbor and money is no object then there are 2 or 3 expensive and

Our room was very comfortable and clean. The hot breakfast was an extra bonus as well as the laundry facilities located next to the fittness room.

when i made the reservations i asked for a room overlooking camden yards and was told it shouldn't be a problem. our room overlooked a nasty alley. when we arrived an oriole game had let out a couple hours earlier and the neighboring bars were in full swing and very loud, plus the streets were closed off so we had a diffucult time getting to the hotel. then i was told that i had to pay for a parking garage because the hotel doesn't have parking, something i was not told when i made the reservations. $26 a day plus tax and tip to the vallet, who by the way never moved my car from the front of the hotel for the 2 days we stayed there and then they tried to charge me for the garage and vallet service. i argued, pay for what? i parked my car right where it is and it stayed there for 2 days, i'm not paying for a service i never received. they did eventually remove the charges. the room was nice and the breakfast was good and the location to the ballpark and the harbor area was convenient, i will give them that.

The Hampton Inn itself isn't that bad of a hotel. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and it is right across the street from Camden Yards which was our reason for visit. The flaws, however, would make me hesitant to book here again. Advertised amenities such as a roll away and a fridge were not available. Valet parking is a nightmare. The space to pull in is overcrowded and tiny and it took them nearly an hour to retrieve our car. They also booked another person in our room a half hour after we checked in. Luckily we were coming out of the room as she was coming in so the awkwardness was minimal. The party scene outside the hotel after a game is fun for the 20 to 30 crowd. The area, however, gets packed with drunken disorderly people that you need to drive directly through if you attempt to leave the hotel. Any case, in futher visits to Camden Yards, I'll be looking elsewhere for a hotel. Luckily the area over the left centerfield fence gave me an idea where to book next.

Loved everything about the hotel. Will stay again when we go back. Breakfast was great also.

The hotel has a great location for Orioles baseball games and for Ravens too. But, the "zoo" of beer, food and apparel vendors outside the hotel is awful. The staff was friendly and courteous.

The Hampton Inn at Camden Yards is the perfect hotel for anyone wishing to stay at a hotel that is convenient and close to the ballpark... When you leave the stadium, the hotel is across the street, in the rear of the right field stands... Our only complaint was the crowded and noisy breakfast area. Although the Hampton Inn coffee remains the best there is, the breakfast area was very crowded and very noisy. We opted to leave the hotel for a breakfast at another location.

We were in town to see a show and chose this hotel because it was within walking distance to the venue. Unfortunately, it rained that night so we needed to take a cab. The hotel was on top of the cab service! They were extremely helpful and quick with our request. The business center was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast area provided us with a nice variety including a station where you can make your own belgium waffles. I was surprised by the size of the room also! Late at night when we felt like going out, there were lounges right next door!

pool and hot tube hours should be longer or after 10pm for adults only I did not like the fact that i could not go swimming at night

My entire experience from the time of check in until check out was wonderful. The staff are very professional and went above and beyond.

Great place if all you are doing is seeing a baseball game. If you are going to the inner harbor you might want to look a little closer to the water.

My daughter and I loved the convenience of the location and the staff could not have been nicer. We will definitely be back.
