Dublin Citi Hotel - Dublín

The location couldn't be more perfect. The price was cheap, the location in temple bar excellent, the hotel staff friendly and my room was beautiful. Yes, there is a nightclub downstairs, but I asked for a room all the way on the top floor and brought earplugs and had an excellent night of sleep. You can't beat the price for being able to walk everywhere. Also I recommend the Beatty library. Beautiful and has a free tour on Wednesdays at 1 pm!

I had read reviews saying that it was extremely noisey - there is a nightclub in the hotel but I heard nothing (we were on the 2nd floor) there was a lot of noise from passers by what what can you expect from a hotel situated at the heart of Dublin. The hotel room was small but it was fine for a 3 night stay. The rooms could do with air conditioning. The bar is lovely and the food is great. Staff are very friendly. Perfect location for everything - a half hour walk to Dublin zoo & the Guinness Factory. 1min walk from Temple Bar and tour bus stop.

This hotel is the best value for money you'll find in Dublin. The location is definitely the best thing about it, looking out the window you can see Trinity college at one end of the street and Dublin Castle at the other, and just behind the hotel is Temple Bar - literally everything is within walking distance. The hotel itself is basic, small, but clean. The only thing to note is that there is a restaurant and a nightclub underneath the hotel, which goes on until 2.30am and is rather noisy. The hotel does offer residents free entry into the club, which is usually 8 euro. The club wasn't a problem for us as we were going out anyway, but anyone who was there just for a quiet night might have found it a problem! Overall a really good hotel for a quick weekend city break.

Excellent hotel if you're looking for a budget, central place to stay. It's in temple bar, where all the tourists go to party, and right in the centre of the city. The room was big and reasonably luxurious for the price. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Thre is a bar and a nightclub downstairs so if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing spot then it's not for you, but if you're over for a few days having fun it could be perfect.

My Wife and I have just returned from the Citi Hotel and although the Hotel was lovely and very central it was the noisiest Hotel ever!. The reason being there is a nightclub on the ground floor and the noise was so loud it was unbearable and we never hardly slept a wink. We did however ask to be moved which we did to level 3 from 2 which was slightly quiter but as the windows didn't close properly it was still like being outside. At 2.30 am there was fighting outside the nightclub so there were police,ambulance and lots of shouting etc. I was glad we were just staying 2 nights. Service and breakfast we very good and worth the 10 euro. Hotel only one street from Temple bar which was nice.

We stayed at this hotel for a short midweek break. We could not have asked for more. It's situtated in the centre of temple Bar, a stones throw away from the pubs, restaurants and shops. The rooms are fairly small but very adequate, and rather contemporary in design. The staff on reception could not have been any more helpful. The only possible negative is the fact that this hotel is attatched to a nightclub. this was not a major problem as we stayed midweek, however if you stayed over the weekend be prepared for some noise. Overall a fantastic hotel and when we return to Dublin we would definatelt stay here again.

Other than the shower being broken it was fine for the price.

If you are not in Dublin strictly to party, then this is probably not the hotel for you. Dublin City Hotel has a dance club on the bottom floor of the hotel which can be heard on all floors of the hotel. We were moved the first night and had to be put up in a hotel across the street due the extremely loud noise. The hotel staff did their best to make up for it the next two nights by giving us three different rooms to choose from; however, all rooms could hear the dance club. We were also not given any complimentary items or reimbursed to make up for the trouble. The staff was very nice and apologetic about the entire situation, however, since we were there to sight see and spend the day around dublin, it did not make up for our lack of sleep and tired days. If your trip is about staying out until past 2am every night you are there, then this hotel may be the place for you (dance club closes at 230am).

only one problem need bigger showers if possible

Nära till det mesta, turistinformationen, partyområdet, affärer och annat! Vi fick ett stort dubbelrum till samma pris som det sen kostade oss att bo på hostel, i sovsal i dublin. Trevligt ställe!

CheckIn lief problemlos. Zimmer ist recht klein. Das Doppelbett passt gerade so hinein. Fenster sind zugundicht und wenig schalldicht. Man hört sogar Leute sprechen, die auf dem Gehsteig gehen, wenn die Fenster geschlossen sind. So ab 21Uhr wurde es laut, da unter den zu vermietenden Zimmer eine Art Disco ist, bei der bis ca. drei Uhr morgens täglich Musik mit viel Bass, sodass der Boden im Zimmer dröhnt, gespielt wurde. Unter dem Bett war offensichtlich zu lange nicht staubgesaugt worden.Bretter des Lattenrostes des Doppelbettes fielen bei ganz normalen Schlafbewegungen ab. Der Duschvorhang war unten leicht verschimmelt. Das heisse Wasser aus dem Wasserkran war fast kochend heiss. Der Miniwasserkocher war unsauber. Postitives. Die sehr zentrale Lage der Unterkunft in einer guten Gegend von Dublin. Wodurch vieles schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen ist. Das Haus, in welchem die Zimmer sich befinden, ist sehr schön. Die Unterkunft ist relativ preiswert.

There are some comments about noise from the club downstairs in the hotel, it was in no way any problem on the 3rd floor where we stayed. Staff was very friendly and helpfull when asked, our room was nice and clean. Roomrates and location directly in the city centre taken into consideration we were very pleased with our stay.

Je pensais avoir réservé dans un hôtel bien situé, un point c'est tout. Et non seulement il est bien situé, mais il est super classe, le personnel très sympa et le petit déj exquis (de quoi tenir toute la journée). A recommander pour tous ceux qui veulent profiter d'un bon hôtel à deux pas du Temple Bar.

La localisation de l'hôtel est excellente : dans le quartier de Temple Bar, en plein centre ville. L'accueil est très bon, et très serviable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, et le petit-déjeuner copieux. Peut-être, petit bémol : on entend assez bien les bruits de la ville : les chambres mériteraient à être plus insonorisées...
