Hotel Sovereign - Praga

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room was very modern and had a lovely bathroom. It even had the 'White Company' cosmetics (didn't even know they had that in Prague?). The breakfast was excellent with an array of hot and cold food, more than enough for a package deal on hotels.com. We had no problems with security, in fact we couldn't even get into our room on many occasions. We had problems with the key, but the reception staff were very helpful with this. There was a safe in the room and the man that took us up to our room pointed that out.

We booked the Hotel Sovereign for my 40th birthday celebrations. It was a mammoth task organising 4 couples (8 people) staying in the same hotel but well worth the wait. We arrived very late but the receptionist was very helpful and the rooms very comfortable although our room looked over an indoor courtyard and was smaller than some of the others but at the end of the day, you're not on holiday to stay in your room ! Everywhere was very clean, comfortable and the shower was lovely. The choice of breakfast was wonderful... we have never seen cakes on a breakfast menu before ! Bar staff very friendly and the porter was lovely, couldn't do enough for you. The only down side was we tried to book the steam/sauna room on saturday for sunday but we were told by another receptionist that it didn't open until 3pm in the afternoon as it needed to warm up ?! We looked bewildered by this remark but she was very adamant and kept repeating it as though we were stupid. This was a little disappointing as was one of the things which we had chosen the hotel for but as we were leaving the hotel at 12 noon that day, we didn't get the chance. It would have been helpful if this had been explained at the time of booking or check in....... otherwise an excellent stay in a great location and would definitely stay here again.......

Great location, close to metro and only 5 mins walk from Old Town Square. Communal areas and our room seemed recently refurbished and were immaculate. Good size bedroom with king size bed, although no bath, only a shower. Great breakfast selection!

This turned out to be an excellent choice for a spring break in Prague. Staff were great, very helpful, breakfast pretty good, room modern and clean - a really good base. Free internent pc was a bonus. You have to give half hours notice for wellness centre which we never quite built into our schedule. Location is good for shopping (close to Wenceslas Square). It is a fair walk to old town but an interesting one with different routes to take. We spent our evenings there meaning a long walk back at night past loads of people trying to get you into clubs of all persuasions which was a bit uncomfortable at times but never really a threat. We had a great time and would go to this place again.

The Hotel Sovereign in Prague is excellent. The location is perfect, being one minute walk from Wencleslas Square. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard. The staff were all very smart, helpful & freindly. The breakfast choices were excellent. And as a bonus, the Welness Centre, which has a sauna, steam room and gym, was reat for relaxing after travelling around this beautiful city. When I return to Prague I would certainly choose the Sovereign again.

We decided to book the Hotel Sovereign based on other reviews and it's location - this was our third trip to Prague. The hotel is ideally situated less than a minute's walk from Wenceslas Square and within walking distance from the Old Town - no need for a taxi unless you plan on going further afield! Although we arrived a couple of hours before check-in time our room was ready and we were able to check straight in. The room was very comfortable with a proper double bed rather than twin beds pushed together. A decent bathroom & powerful shower with some nice toiletries from The White Company. Breakfast was included comprising both hot & cold food served as a buffet served until 10am if you fancy a lie in! If you fancy a cocktail before you go out in the evening try the hotel bar - a good choice of cocktails - I'd recommend the Pina Colada. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

hotel staff very friendly and extremely helpful, rooms very well presented and cleaned to a high standard. Excellent choice for breakfast something for everyone. Also sampled the food in the restaurant which was also to an excellent standard and comparable price to other eating establishments within Prague city centre. A complimentary drink was offered upon arrival to use at our convenience. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. The location is excellent and very accessible...within walking distance...to all of the cities major attractions. The hotel staff is outstanding and willing to go above and beyond what is expected. Our room was large and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great and the variety was excellent. We have traveled extensively throughout Europe and over the past 11 years, staying at more than a hundred different hotels, and would rate the Hotel Sovereign amoung the best.

Room was clean and comfortable, just what I needed for business but waitress in restaurant was rude and food was not of a standard I would expect, and came out cold.

The Hotel is only 10mins from Winceslas Square but far enough away to avoid the hen and stag party mayhem. Everything else, Old Town Square through to the castle was easily accessible. The Hotel was very clean, excellent breakfast buffet that filled you up for the day. The cafe/restaurant was very good; informal and relaxing and the food good.

the hotel was stylish and beautifully kept. The staff particularly the receptionist and doorman were extremely helpful and don't forget your swimsuit as there is a steam room and sauna as well as a little gym. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it to others with no reservation. very well located and nothing was too much trouble. breakfast was included and very nice too.

Vi var veldig fornøyd med hotellet. Sentral beliggenhe t, god service. Stille og rolig på nettene. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake. Stille og rolig hotel med lite støy fra trafikken utenfor. Sentralt og hyggelig. Komfertable rom. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake

Veldig bra hotell sentralt i Praha. Kort avstand til alle severdigheter og handlegater. I rask gange kunne du gå til borgen på ca 30 minutter og da har du nesten gått forbi alle de andre severdighetene som må besøkes. Samtidig lå hotellet i en sidegate og var dermed skjermet fra de største turistområdene (støykildene) så det var rolig på nattestid. Gaten utenfor var heller ikke mye traffikert. Frokosten var helt ok. Hotellet kan fort bli besøkt igjen ved neste tur til Praha.

Meget gunstig plassert like ved de fleste av Prahas attraksjoner, men likevel ikke midt i sentrumkaoset. Rent og pent, bra service, gode engelskkunnskaper, ypperlig frokost og veldig komfortable senger. Rommet var en anelse smått, men pent og stort bad. Anbefales absolutt.

Το ξενοδοχείο ηταν πολυ καθαρό κ όλο το προσωπικό πολυ ευγενικό.Αν κ πολυ κοντά αστρονικό ρολόι.μόνο 5 τετράγωνα,ήταν πολυ ήσυχο κ είχε πραγματικά πολυ άνετα κρεββάτια.Μας 'αρεσε πολυ κ ελπίζουμε κάποια στιγμά να ξαναπάμε.

Veldig bra beliggenhet. Ca. 10 min til gamlebyen og 2 min til handlegaten i Vaclaske Namesti. Hotellet er stilig og rommene likeså. Hyggelig betjening og utrolig hyggelig concierge. Restauranten er OK, men opplevde servicen litt dårlig. Frokosten er grei nok, men for oss nordmenn er det litt mangelfullt.

Wij waren een week in Praag en verbleven in dit fijne en comfortabele hotel. De lokatie is prima, heel centraal in Praag centrum in de buurt van alles wat we wilden zien. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk, beleefd en dienstbaar. het ontbijt was uitstekend en de kamer met badkamer heerlijk en precies wat je nodig hebt. Daarnaat hebben we ook bijna dagelijks genoten van het stoombad en de sauna na een intensieve dag wandelen en stad bekijken. Voor dit hotel niets dan lof.

il personale è stato molto cordiale e professionalmente preparato. Ottima la prima colazione. Gli ambienti sono molto confortevoli ed accoglienti ed arredati con gusto! Peccato che le camere per fumatori siano in mansarda con le finestre al soffitto! Comunque è un'ottima struttura!

Defekt varmeanlegg som ikke ble forsøkt rettet mens vi var der tre netters opphold Vi fikk regning av resepsjonen for konsertbilletter et annet rom hadde bestilt

Bon hôtel, propre, calme, très bien situé (près de Wenceslas), avec un excellent buffet pour le petit dejeuner (salé, sucré, fruits à profusion). On attend cependant d'un 4*, des chambres plus spacieuses (à chaque étage 3 sont très petites) pour ne pas marcher sur ses valises, une penderie suffisamment grande. Personnel très disponible et réactif mais ne parlant pas français. Enfin : quand on a un buffet de cette qualité, les queques pots de confiture sous plastique gâche un peu les ambitions de l'hôtelier !!

Svært bra frokost

Det var ganske nemt at parkere i hotellets tilstødende parkeringskælder (dog kostede dette ca. 100kr i døgnet). Hotellet var flot indrettet, med gratis wellness-faciliteter og god morgenmadsbuffet. Lokationen var i fin gå-afstand fra de mange turisthøjdepunkter (Karlsbroen, Krudttårnet, Rådhuset osv.). Alt i alt et rigtig lækkert hotel.

Mi sono presentato all'hotel dopo un lingo viaggio e mi sono sentito dire che l'hotel era chiuso e comunque mi avevano predisposto un alloggio in un altro hotel del loro gruppo di pari categoria..avrei gradito essere informato di tale variazione prima di quando stanco mi sono presentato alla reception.
