Sorrento Town Suites - Sorrento

WE booked this hotel for two nights from 23rd Sep. The hotel is a small apartment hotel with only 4 apartments and managed by a husband wife team. The hotel reception is open till 8 PM ( as per the mail) however, we did not read this before reaching the hotel. We were going to Sorrento from Rome and we reached Sorrento after 11 in the night and I was apprehensive about how I'll collcet the keys. I rang the doorbell and Roberto, the owner answered the phone. He came down from his house ( which I think is in another place but he was there in 5-6 minutes. The hotel is in a small alley , so is a little difficult to find but once you are inside it is much better. Large room with lots of storage space, small cooking area so you can make your morning tea. In Italy the other hotels we stayed did not have tea cofee making facilities and I was missing it quite a bit. I get up early in the morning and would like to have a cup of tea once I am up. Very cheap rate for weekdays and overall I am very satisfied with the cleanliness etc. It is off the main road ( but parallel to it and it takes less than 3 minutes to reach the town center and lesst than 10 minutes to reach the station. We are very impressed with Sorrento and when we return we will like to stya there one more time.

Convenient to both the train station, down town sorrento, and the beach. Bathrooms were very small. No bathtubs, onlt showers. The hotel shares a pool with another hotel down the street. It is quiet a walk to get to the other hotel to use the pool, so we never used it.

We booked a week at the end of August 2008 at Sorrento Town Suites for a total of £440. The apartment was fantastic, with enough cooking facilities, a good sized fridge and a balcony. The cleaners came around every day and did a fantastic job, even taking the time to tidy all of our bits and pieces into neat rows on the table. The balcony was a massive plus, overlooking an elborate entrance to one of Sorrento's many restauruants.

This hotel is located in several different parts of Sorrento. Our room was located next to a parking lot with people passing continuously. There was no front desk or attendant at any time. Our room was not cleaned one day. I would take this hotel off your recommendations.

The hotel was lovely. We had a huge room with a large balcony. It was tucked away in the center of Sorrento on a a quiet street. It also comes with an efficiancy kitchen. It was a little hard to get too and the woman at the front desk doesn't speak/understand English very well so it was quite a procedure trying to check in.

This room was very nice, clean, and modern. However, it is on the busist street in Sorrento, a fact not indicated by the address of the office. Bring earplugs if you plan to sleep past 6am.

It is not a hotel - and it's location is a SCAM. First night I was unable to find the hotel. They have an office in the center of the city, and rent out bed and breakfast rooms up in a nearby village, which they will bring you to in a car or on a moped. Beautiful room and view, good for vacation, romantic getaway with very friendly hotel manager - but not recommended at all for anyone on a business trip, not easily accessible by taxi (the can't find it.) Basically a scam if called a hotel - but beautiful bed and breakfast.
